Htc Sensation 4G Software Update

Hi Guys i have Htc Sensation 4G TMo US, Android 2.3.4 which i succesfully S-off, Rooted and also installed Clockwordmod 5.0.08 if i remember correctly (following a thread here at xda). The thing is that i clicked on:
Setting---about phone---htc software update---check now and a window poped up saying that theres a software update to ICS 4.0.3 to click ok to download it and install it. Of course since.im rooted i click NO.
So my questions are:
1- can i download.and install the update directly to my phone as it is right now; S-off and rooted? Meaning is everything gonna go smooth or do i have to Undo the root and s-off?
2- can i retain root if i update the software to 4.0.3?
3- can i remain s-off if i update to 4.0.3?
4- if i have to Undo the s-off and root in order to update, can i s-off and root again after the update to 4.0.3?
Hope anyone can have answer to my questions. Cause i really wanna update to get the new features of ICS.
Thanks in advanced
Have a nice day

No if you try and update your phone while it is rooted it will get stuck and loop on the logo you need too un root it and update it too 4.0.3 there is no official way too root the official ics update just yet it will turn so off back on and change your hboot too 127
So basically i have to UNROOT it, which means removing the SUPERUSER app, and then i can updated it trouble free!!???
Cause if i read right you say that the updating wil turn my S-OFF into S-ON, so im assuming that if i Unroot and then proceed to update to 4.0.3, the change from S-off to S-on will be automatically
Done by the.updating process!??
Ok question: --since.right now im s-off wont that mess up the updating process when it come to the bootup time and it sees/detects that im s-off?
--Wont that be a reason for it to start looping on the logo as you said??
Thanks in advanced and for your response.bro i really wanna try ICS
Thanks.bro

You can download it and not install it which is what i did, it gets saved to your sd card and you can copy it to you computer.
Wait what?
You can do that?
I thoughr that as soon as i pressed the OK it was gonna proceed to download and install it, cause the pop actually asks me if i want to install it, after it tells me the.changes in the new software update
Can you explain

[Q] ICS OTA update problem EVO 3D GSM

so just downloaded the new offical ics update for my unbranded gsm EVO 3d an when I try to update the phone reboots as it would to install the ota but it just freezes with an error screen (droid with !triangle) now this happens on my phone aswell as my friends were both rooted with clockwork mod recovery installed but NO S-OFF !
I wonderd if anyone else has encounterd this problem an if so is there a fix ?
I am experiencing the same problem. My bootloader is unlocked with htcdev.com, I have the 4EXT recovery.img on it and the phone is rooted with SuperSU.
When I try to install the OTA ICS update the phone reboots and there is a progressbar for about a second. After that the error screen (droid with !triangle) appears and the update stops.
Does anybody know how to get the update installed? I don't want to do a factory reset and delete everything that is on it. But I dont care if the root is gone after the update.
U have to be locked and unrooted u will loose the ability to flash custom kernels better get s-off and flash it per my guide on this forum

If have the same problem. My device is S-ON too. Can we unroot and back to stock recovery mode while the device is S-ON? or is there any untouched official update (for using in this situation) that we can use?
thanks.

Issue updating Radio

I am a noob but i can work my way around the phone.
My phone is full root S-Off and says Tampered/Unlocked. I was able through recovery to upgrade to the latest jelly bean stock rooted rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35651070 This was sucessfull and running really nicely but for the life of me I cannot get the new firmware to install, in fact i am still on the original firmware from April.
I load Hboot it says parsing PJ75IMG.zip then just closes and returns to bootloader.
I also tried fastboot but to no avail, any help would be much appreciated.
TIA
Can you post a link to the specific file you're trying to load?

[Q] [q] htc evo 4g lte rom booting issues

Hello I've been trying to flash a new rom onto my HTC evo 4g lte. I'm currently running sense (android version 4.1.1) my (hboot is - 2.09.0000) and im rooted. My boot loader is unlocked using HTCdev. I'm S-On. My recovery is twrp v2.5.0.0 and I have tried to flash cm10 once I finished and restarted the phone it would only show the boot image and I waited for about 10 minutes hoping it would work which it didn't then I read on other forums that I need to flash a kernel called htc dumlock and restore-original-boot-v2 I did that and followed the instructions and afterwards I tried flashing the rom again and it did the same boot loop. I luckily have a back up of my original rom however I would still like to flash a new rom can anyone help me please?
Check out the link in my sig for some useful info. Hopefully it answers all your questions.

[Q] HTC Flyer unbrick

Hi,
I'm in a bit of a pickle with my HTC Flyer 32gb 3g.
I unlocked the bootloader using the HTC DEV website and installed recovery. I did not make the device S-OFF nor does it have superuser on it.
The mistake I made was that I installed a custom ROM without S-OFF and superuser (it had honeycomb on it, I wanted to put jellybean on it). Of course the custom ROM did not want to boot (also tried flashing boot.img). I had made a backup of the original ROM in recovery but for some reason this backup can no longer be found on the SD card.
I am stuck with a device which won't boot past the green HTC logo and even though I am able to install custom ROMs they won't boot.
I can access bootloader and recovery and connect to my PC just fine.
Last known Android: 3.2
Hboot: 1.11.0011
Any help on getting back a functioning Android?
