My i777 is stuck in a boot loop, but it happened at a weird moment. I was using ShoStock's 4.1.2 JB rom and installed rom manager. I used Rom Manager to boot into recovery, but my phone was stuck on the Samsung Galaxy SII screen. I did a battery pull and restarted the phone to access recovery, but I cannot access recovery. I restarted my phone again by battery pull, and it remains stuck at the Samsung Galaxy SII screen. I had this issue two days ago, but I was able to access the recovery mode then, and did a Nandroid restore to ShoStock's rom. How do I access recovery now? What can I do?
UPDATE: I cannot access Download Mode either to flash a stock+root rom.

Unfortunately, here is your problem. You evidently failed to see this sticky thread here in in the Q&A forum. As you can now see, rom manager can cause real problems on this phone.

Since you can at least see the boot screen, you are probably not bricked.
try to access recovery mode:
Hold down vol- vol+ & Pwr buttons continuously until the Galaxy SII screen appears the second time.
try to put the phone into download mode (normal method):
With the phone off (battery in) and usb cable attached to pc, hold down vol- & vol+ (but *not* pwr) while you plug the usb cable into the phone.
try to put the phone into download mode (another method):
Remove the battery and leave it out. (The computer will supply the power.) With the usb cable attached to pc, hold down the vol- button (or sometimes both volume buttons) while plugging the usb cable into the phone.

hi, i rooted my samsung galaxy s2 and installed clockworkmod and everything was fine...until i flash the ROM (GINGERMOD). I decided that ROM wasnt for me so i hold on the power button and went into recovery mode. Now my phone goes into recovery mode everything i rs it and i cant exit recovery mode because the HOME OR power button doesnt work. It seems clockworkmod is unreponsive to the buttoms and i cant exit it. when i do a hard boot, it goes back to recovery mode and does the same thing....WHAT do i do? thanks.
Try using volume button to navigate in CWM.
You also could try a usb jig to force it in download mode.

You can't go into download mode? Try taking out your battery, and then going into download mode with vol down + homeĀ“+ power button so you can flash stock ROM via Odin
Asked a stupid question which I worked out 2 minutes later, please ignore
I tried flashing a stock Android 4.2 JB ROM that seems legit. After flashing, I rebooted my device and saw the standard Nexus boot animation. So far, I though all was well. It's not. My phone has been stuck in this constant booting state for hours. I pulled the battery after an appropriate amount of waiting and held down the power and volume down+up button. Instead of booting into Fastboot mode, it went straight to Odin Mode. All I can do with my device is boot to Odin Mode or watch the Nexus boot animation over and over again. Does anyone know the solution to my problem or some sort of utility that will help me? Thanks.
Ahh bootloops...Have you tried pressing volume down+up first, then power? Sometimes holding power, then pressing volume down first goes directly to odin mode, not recognizing the later push of volume up. I've never used odin mode..Can you boot straight to recovery, volume up+power? And do you have cwm? If you were not on stock before, then you need a factory reset before it'll boot, and perhaps even a cache wipe.
And i'd bet youd find more help if this was posted in the nexus q&a.
Hi,
I own galaxy s3 i9000, currently on custom rom. My phone automatically rebooted and got stuck on bootloop. If I am able to enter in recovery mode, i can wipe cache(which may can help to get out of bootloop). But the problem is I am unable to enter into recovery mode because phone's volume up button is not working and my phone auto reboots every time after power off or reinserting battery. Is there any other way to clear cache or enter into recovery mode?
I dont want to flash my stock rom via odin (because i didnt backup my some important apps and msgs), this will be my last option.
sorry for my bad english
The normal way I get my phone into recovery mode from the PC is using ADB and the command: "adb reboot recovery". However, I bet this won't work in your case for one of several possible reasons: depending on when the bootloop occurs in the boot process, the phone may never reach a point where ADB is able to see your phone in the first place; if this is happening after a flashing a new custom ROM, then also it's unlikely that USB debugging is turned and the PC is not yet authorized to connect with it over ADB.
Another thought, could your power button be stuck down? I had a GS3 SCH-I535 several years ago and the power switch went bad on it, it would keep rebooting, shutting down randomly, or I'd be unable to turn on the screen. I had a switch replaced and it was fine after that. I don't think it's normal for the phone to automatically boot up when you reinsert the battery, that's why I bring that up. Maybe you can wiggle the power button a bit and try to unstick it if that's the case.
I tried to remove and stick back the power button again, but still it didnt worked. By the way fixing power button will not help me to get into recovery mode as my phone's volume up button is also not working, and recently I found out that I cant enter into download mode too because when I press respective buttons (volume down + home + power) for download mode, it gives warning msg to click 'volume up' buttton to enter into download mode or 'volume down' to reboot. Therefore again volume up button is required to enter into download mode too. So the only option remained for me is to visit service center and fix the volume up button.
Hello, I really need help, until yesterday my cell phone was working perfectly but suddenly it was turned off and now it does not turn on, but when I plug it into the power outlet the logo appears, but then reboots, and so on.

It looks like your phone is in bootloop.
Go to recovery.
Clean flash your rom after wiping everything except external sd(you will loose your apps and appdata).

Thanks for your answer
I tried that but did not enter the recovery mode, then install via fastboot the recovery twrp and tried again without success. I followed the steps to unbrick my cell but again I did not get a different result. Does the battery have anything to do?

Could you please describe in more detail?
Are you able to open fastboot menu by pressing vol down and power button simultaneously?
After opening fastboot menu and selecting recovery what happens?
Have you tried opening the recent TWRP (boot recovery) through fastboot command?
After keeping phone on charging is the phone showing charging animation(I'm assuming that the phone is switched off while charging)?

Enter the fastboot mode by pressing the power and volume keys down simultaneously and install the recovery then I returned to the menu of the fastboot and I wanted to enter the recovery and it stays in the bootloop, does not really try to launch the recovery via fastboot, when I get home Will be the first thing I try.
After leaving it a day connected to the power outlet does not leave the normal logo indicating that it is charging, in fact shows a warning that I had not seen before, it is a plug with an arrow towards 2 points (I suppose it is the outlet, when I get home I Update the post with the image mentioned)
Hello,
as I wrote in this (now locked) thread, I installed Superior OS and got stuck in bootloop. I get "Galaxy S9+" screen followed by system bootanimation, which repeats itself indefinitely. It doesn't restart by itself, it just boots endlessly.
The problem here is that I can't access recovery or even download mode. I tried to restart (power + volume down) and then quickly press combination to access recovery or download mode. No luck. I couldn't even turn the damn phone off. I just kept restarting.
So I let it drain the battery hoping I could then power the phone on with correct key combination. I tried holding bixby button + volume down while inserting USB. It just started booting up to system with boot animation. I tried holding bixby + volume up, or even power + bixby + volume down. No luck either.
I got correct USB drivers installed, as I flashed the phone with Odin in the past. Odin recognizes phone while it sits on boot animation, but it won't start flashing. ADB or fastboot do not work on bootanimation, as the ROM is freshly installed. I presume it has ADB turned off by default...
I'll be grateful for any ideas and suggestions.
No escape , man. I tried all ( check this rom for galaxy note 9 )
Nice...
I went to service center, they said they can fix it for me. 40 euros for reflash (download mode isn't necessary), 100 euros for complete unbrick. I hope the unbrick isn't necessary and the bootloader is intact. I'll post with update.
