How would you flash it?
One thing at a time!
Thering is a great developer who's making a custom ROM right now. It will probably be available next week.
EDIT: It will be available when he wants and he does not have any obligation to do anything eventhough he's very talented and hard working.
cm next week for this phone

since you are new to this forum, i'll introduce you to one rule we try to follow here - newer ask "when". the developers have no obligation of any kind and develop at their free time and so there are no ETAs.
Samsung have thrown a few curve balls our way. Which will take some time figuring out. Pain in the back side non-hlos package is one its proved an issue for the s4 lte owners but that relates to modem so will leave baseband out for the moment. We just need a good cwm to start the ball rolling hopefully Phil's touch recovery will come.
I setup new build environment so will start the rest for the Lte edition based on UK rom tomorrow using the same setup as we did on my note ROMs.
Down the line can look at pa with halo.

Just messaged Chainfire to see if he can get the CF Autoroot for the i9205 which should get around Sammys stupid root detection hopefully, will message Philz to see if we can get his awesome touch recovery cwm for our device as well. The Non-Hlos issue will be a stumbler for now

According to the article, we should be getting ICS shortly. About time.
Thought I'd share!

When you said "we" you meant we are all Israeli?
For we that are American who under AT&T, the 15th may not be the date.

No, but if it is realeased for israel, they need to release the sources, and if they do, we can get current ports fixed.
I'm curious too, when it says generically, ICS coming to Samsung Galaxy SII, does that mean the international version only or does that include the AT&T I777 as well?
(In fact, every time I check out new ROMs, I wonder if the two are interchangeable)...

Not sure "need to" is the correct phrase here. Look how long it took for GB sources to be released for the captivate.

International version only - but when they release it officially ANYWHERE they need to release kernel sources.
With kernel sources - porting will be easy.

What's the real difference and should the ATT version work better on their system?

It should. Any chance in you backing up that radio image in your ATT 4.3 screenshot and sharing the img?

I would, but unfortunately I don't have the AT&T version on a phone...I just seen that screen shot. I love the Dev Edition, but maybe would try the AT&T radio if I could get it.
I know a friend with the new ota, maybe I can get a hold of his phone and snag a backup. If I do...I will post it up.

It's not my doing! Enjoy!:good:
After trying the AT&T radio for a day, I can see no difference over the Dev Edition radio I been using for a couple weeks. They both work great for me. I am using Straight Talk LTE on AT&T towers and the coverage is great throughout the city. I get excellent voice coverage and 16-25MB download speeds in most locations...a couple spots I have seen speeds under 10, but very rare with either radio. Personally I don't think there is much difference in the 2 radio. Of course based on your location, you may get different results.
Hi All...
I searched for hours but failed to come up with a solution. I own Samsung Galaxy sII (SGH-I777). Please refer to the screen shot.
It is rooted and unlocked. ICS with custom rom and kernal. I am trying to update to Jelly bean. Could someone please help me to do the upgrade? I would like to be rooted and unlocked after the upgrade. Appreciate any help.

First, your screenshot says Galaxy Nexus, so I'm going to assume you've edited the build.prop to reflect that (this is based on the fact you're running an i777 modem).
Anyway, simply install a JB kernel and flash the rom of your choice. Refer to the OP in this thread for the most current and stable kernel for the i777. You'll need to select the correct kernel for the rom you want to flash - be it Samsung or AOSP. There are over 4,000 comments in that thread, any questions you might have about what to flash will be there.

Yes I recall making changes using build.prop. I have been out of this game and very rusty. Could you please elaborate on selecting the correct kernel for the rom.
If your phone is rooted with CWM recovery you only need install a custom ROM it includes its own kernel. A good JB ROM is the Shostock3 see here and follow the installations instructions:

I couldn't agree more with the above post. There isn't anything really available for the Galaxy Tab 3. I have the SM-T210R model and every ROM I check out isn't supported. I hope someone makes a ROM for this soon. I'm going to work on something for mine but it will be my first time doing so. I work in IT so I'm hoping that helps some and by no stretch do I expect it to be anything useful. Just trying to learn. So someone, anyone please start making some ROMS for this tablet.

im looking for a decent rom for this tab as well, prefereably CM, but id be super happy with a paranoid or kang as well, but i found this one recently, a port of the tab 3 lite's 4.2.2, which brings some great performance tweaks along with it, i was using rocket tab 3 until i got this and it works a treat, but as i cant post links (noob to posting) i can just say go on youtube and search 'smt210 android 4.2.2 rootjunky'. its a really straightforward install.
have fun!
As the title states, I bought an AT&T S5 for my wife for christmas. She likes some of the stock apps that tmobile offers and I was wondering if i could just install the tmobile rom on the AT&T phone with minimal risk.
Thanks for the help.

Usually people buy the t-mobile S5 to use on at&t. You could always just download a Tmo rom and pull the apks from the zip.
As for flashing a Tmo rom not to sure. Barely learned tmo S5 supports international roms.
I want to do the same thing.
I have restored 900A to old AT&T stock firmware with odin, towelroot then worked.
What is my next step now?
I want T-Mobile softcard and T-mobile call-over-wifi to work and also simply removing all the AT&T default apps.
So I want my phone to be like it came from from T-Mobile store.
A at&t and t-mobile S5 phone should be in hardware the same?
Quote:
Important Note: You may only download and install the specified stock firmware according to your Galaxy S5 phone model number. As you may not know, there are numerous versions of the Galaxy S5 in each and every countries. Each of these Galaxy S5 versions uses different firmware build, flashing a non-specified stock firmware to other Galaxy S5 variants may result into bricks. Meaning it will also causes damage to your phone and you cannot recover it by your own.
Solved my issue, not the overall thread, sorry for the confusion. (please delete this post, I can't do it from Tapatalk)

Please do tell what solution you came up with! I'm in the same predicament. I would love a Tmobile rom that supports wifi calling on my att s5 900a.

Another option, but beware, homie in the thread said Wifi Calling not working for him
Btw I decided against trying this out for now, and am just using Hangouts as a wifi calling solution
