This is probably a dumb question but...how do i download the google play store to my rooted p769 device? ive searched the forums and i cant find out how... sorry for the dumb questions lately, im new to all this
The thing is, i download the play store apk and install it, but when i open it, it immediately closes. i cant use it at all. thanks for any help

You need to install gapps. Just Google "how to install gapps" and follow through with the instructions. This will install Google play, Gmail and more.

Hello there im getting problem parsing package downloading this apps anyidea please i really use Google books im running 2.3.4 stock on my atrix4g not rooted .
I do know that chrome is only for ics. Books should be working.
Where are you geting the apks from? Hopefully from the market......

Im getting them from the market but not the regular way its a like addon you add to google chrom in pc so you can install the APK from the page , i also tried from 1 mobile market , black market and mobilephonetalk nothing works . Im reading here now in this thread he got same problem i think they know the answer .

Hi,
is there a way to download an app from the play store without installing it?
As I mentioned in another thread, I cannot install any apps since I keep getting an error message. A few minutes ago I discovered I can install an .apk over adb from my computer with android sdk.
I need "Hiapn Global". It's only 320kb and free, but I cannot find the apk anywhere on the internet. Could someone please be so kind to upload it somewhere, so I can download it and install it over adb?
Other ideas are appreciated as well.

I installed jellybam today. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1940096. But i cannot see Google Music, Google Latitute, Google Maps. How can i install them? I tried latest gapps but noting changed.
Please i need your help
gapps are in jellybam rom included but instead of google play music there is apollo music, maybe you have to get maps from the playstore if you didnt see that.
try re flash with clean install. take backup first.

Maps should be thr in play store... anyway as i told u in my PP try re-flash with clean install before tht pls take a backup... i had ths issue long ago with some custom rom n solved by re-flashing so tht im suggesting.

hi, is there anyway to synchronize all your Google Apps that've been already installed at once? What happened to me was when I installed jellybean rom and rebooted the phone first thing phone asked me was if want to synchronize google account, but it didnt allow me to turn on wifi and I had to say no. And then when I was able to turn on wifi none of my apps were downloaded to the phone now I have to go to foogle play/my apps and manually download each one. Is there any way to download them all at once? Thanks

Flash gapps ! You no need to install just flash gapps :good: ANy gapps for ics will work for cm9

You need Google services and related apps for a working Play store!
And the play store won't work directly if you install that apk!
For cm Roms,you've to flash gapps! It includes play store in it! Like Philip already mentioned in post above me
