Yes there could be. But My intention is to Help. Nothing Else.
Exactly, with your post, we know what we're doing precisely. And that's what other tutorials miss in general. They're just recipes we follow without understanding. Thanks for your input!

Ive rooted my xperia mini pro... already unlocked the bootloader. Now do i need to install CWM recovery? If so how do i go about doing it.
I was searching the threadsand everyone seems to keep saying that u dont need CWM if u have unlocked ur bootloader.
If that is true how do i flash a custom ROM without having CWM (or any other recovery for that matter)?

If you flash the custom kernel, you will have the recovery too. All of our custom kernels have the recovery included
How to flash a custom kernel/rom is in my guide on how to install a custom rom/kernel, check it out for further help/information/questions

this is my first tutorial, hope it help
sorry for my english
some people going to say, "but, if you have unlocked bootloader, only have to flash a custom kernel with root", this method is for peoble that want to have their original firmwares .62 and stock kerner or in my case, people that can't flash custom kernel because of the problem of "1 bad blocks encountered" in the nand memory :'(
you need:
1) Unlock bootloader
2) a custom kernel with recovery (its not going to be flashed)
3) this file root.zip
4) flashtools
Intruccion:
1) save the root.zip to your sdcard
2) open flashtools
3) press the flash button (the one with the lightning)
4) Enter the option Fastboot mode
5) conect your phone in fastboot mode (phone off and press volumen + while connect the phone, the indicator led must turn blue)
6) press "Select Kernel to HotBoot" in the flashtools (in hootboot the kernel its no really flashed)
7) select the custom kernel with recovery
8) the phone restart, press continiously volume down to enter in recovery mode
9) in the recovery enter in install zip from sdcard
10) install root.zip
flashing this file with CWM the phone gain root access, i have only prove it with the mini, i don't know if it works for other models

Now..
Custom kernels already give root, after you have installed the kernel.

Hey guys how can I go to recovery mod on z2.?
And if I flash any custom rom then how can I back to stock rom.?
And need to unlock bootloader to flash custom rom.? How?
There are a few ways to enter recovery mode on the Z2.
1) Install a recovery for locked bootloader;
How to:
1) Root your phone (if you are on 4.4.2 use a rooting tool. If you are on 4.4.4 you will have to downgrade to 4.4.2, root that and then install a pre-rooted ROM through recovery).
2) Install busybox (you can find this in the play store).
3) Run the installer by [NUT] to get recovery for locked bootloader (this an be found in the cross device development section).
2) Install a recovery for unlocked bootloader;
How to:
1) Check if your bootloader can be unlocked by going to you phone keypad and typing *#*#3738423#*#*. This will bring up the service menu, Tap Service Info, Tap Configuration, then look to the rooting status. Under that it will say either Bootloader Unlock Allowed: Yes or Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No. If it says yes you can carry on, if it says no you can only use recovery for locked bootloader.
2) Root your phone and back up you TA partition (tool can be found in the Cross Device Development section).
3) Unlock your bootloader by following the Sony guide (NOTE: This WILL wipe your internal storage, so please make a back up of everything.
4) Install a custom kernel what has recovery embedded into it.
If you flash a custom ROM and wish to revert back to stock the easiest and safest way is to flash the ftf firmware file (these can be found in the Z2 general section) with flashtool (this can be found in the cross device development section). If you are downgrading you will have to wipe data and the cache or else the phone will just bootloop.
How to unlock the bootloader and install a custom non-stock based ROM:
4) Follow the install process of the ROM.
Hope I helped.

Great!!!
I guess the "Reboot EDL" feature doesn't work with Dipper, does it?
Cool.
Does it work to return full stock including original recovery? I don't want to brick my device so I better ask.

Actually the tool is able to flash a full fastboot factory image, so it will also flash the stock recovery, the problem is the arb, the tool is unable to read the arb version and if the rom can be flashed or not, so before flash it you should be sure you are flashing the right rom
For example would it work to flash Global 10.2.2 also to restore the stock recovery, or any considering that now I am rooted + twrp on custom rom? Been also on latest MIUI versions bit want to regain my stock again.

Yes the problem is not the rom but the arb, if there is not an arb problem you can flash the rom without problems
How can I find it out?
Hello, I've recently acquired this Infinix Hot 10 device, now I want to root it. I searched on Google and found some links that suggest I can (on getdroidtips) and some that suggest I can't (on newsvivs). I would share the links but I can't post links due to having a new account.
I want to know the opinions of the forum members here on these sites and whether anyone has this device and has successfully rooted it before. I also want to know if this will erase all my data. If you have any trusted rooting guides for this device please share them.
Thank you.
If you as 1st step could successfully unlock phone's bootloader, then as 2nd step you could install a Custom Recovery like TWRP suitable to the phone, then finally as 3rd step it should be possible to root phone's XOS 6.0 ( based on Android 10 ) by means of TWRP.

I can unlock the bootloader. But how do I install TWRP afterwards? Do I need a special build for the phone or is the process generic from there? If it's generic could you send me a guide?

It doesn't have a custom recovery. When I try to go to recovery manually (Vol UP + Power) it gives a black screen instantly on boot, then continues boot looping when I take my fingers off the buttons.
ADB and Fastbook fail to connect to the device in its various stages of bootlooping so I can't switch to fastboot mode.
SPFlash can't flash it, keeps giving errors. Either when it reboots during a flash attempt or it gives an authentication key error. Apparently I need an auth key to flash this device? Even though I'm using the original ROM.

As above mentioned TWRP must match phone's specs ( Android OS, etc.pp ). In case there isn't a pre-build one for your phone you can try to ask TWRP-developers to build it for you by means of TWRP Builder app.

It's like 3-4 years so memory is hazy.
You can't brick boot unless you flash the kernel multiple times. I would still recommend going for a custom recovery. IMO try this kernel.

I would still recommend custom kernel for unlocked phones. They work alright.
