My phone keeps bootlooping and the ROM won't start. I am using KingCobra 3D Rom. I tried flashing it with AROMA installer but it says getprop directory not found. I have connected to Revolutionary Recovery but says getprop not found... How do i get the getprop back. I cannot boot into the ROM anymore. Need urgent help. I have tried Dumlock and all but still bootlooping. Also it says something about a pending bootimage update before it reboots.

Hold power button + volume key down till captive buttons blink, then let go for a split second then hold them again should bring up bootloader.

is there a way to install twrp 2.3.1 without goo.im? because I could not get into the system
Go to teamw.in and download the twrp update there

Yes but you have to have the android SDK. Once you have the sdk, download the twrp 2.3.1.0 .img file and place it in the same folder as fastboot. (I think its in platform-tools which is an add on for the SDK.) From there open a command prompt and navigate to your platform-tools directory inside the SDK folder. Now put your phone into fastboot mode and connect the USB (android debugging must be on). From the command prompt type fastboot flash recovery nameoftwrpfile.img. that should get you going

You don't need the SDK to update twrp just the PJ75IMG.zip, place it on external SD card and boot to boot loader, it will install twrp with out a terminal
hi.
i have never had problems with my hero before but suddenly i'm unable to flash anything on it. i have always been on the stock recovery with S-OFF and rooted.
i flashed VanillaEclair 6.2 a while back and had no problems.
yesterday when i tried to flash another rom, i got signature verification error. I thought i'd flash TWRP or CWMR to bypass the signature verification but when i tried to flash it, i got the same error.
i tried to flash the recovery through rom manager but it failed...even with adb!
frustrated, i thought to use the official rom RUU...i ran the RUU, it went halfway in flashing the rom and then gave error.
now i don't have any recovery and pressing 'home+power' leaves me at the HERO screen forever.
luckily i can still boot in android so my device is not bricked.
I have tried pushing the recovery via adb but even the fastboot doesn't work.
i tried starting from scratch to check for the bootloader lock. fastboot oem get_identifier_token returns an error.
phone is working fine but i don't like the rom and want to be able to flash via custom recovery.
please help!
much appreciated.
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/HTC_Hero_(GSM):_Full_Update_Guide Check the installing a custom recovery page, use the FLASH_IMAGE method
Heya, just flashed the [ROM] OTA-Global-Stock-4.05.605.14 710RD-Rooted 5/1/13 and was stuck at the 4G screen for about 20 minutes. Went back to bootloader and wiped cache and dalvik. Now stuck at HTC screen. Suggestions?
I can get to recovery or bootloader, but I am not sure what to do from here. I can also get into TWRP, but sideload fails.
S-on or S-off? If you're s-on, need to flash the kernel separately still...
S-on. I went and downloaded a kernel also, but when I flash, it says E: Unable to mount '/cache'
Edit: Any kernel that I try to flash fails, it says E: Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard'
In hboot, go to fastboot. On your PC, type "fastboot boot recovery" this should give you temp s-off to flash kernel in recovery. Try reflashing the ROM after giving that command and your phone boots into recovery.

Flashed dbinstaller-JB-v2.3.9 and I am back in business. I will work on other ROMs and getting where I need to be this weekend. I can't thank you enough for putting me on the trail of the kernel.
hey guys.
i unlocked my bootloader using CID method, flashed twrp, and installed the NOS sense 5 rom (didnt root)
the problem is, the phone is stuck on htc quietly brilliant screen. no budge
i tried using adb push to push roms to my phone, and i tried adb sideload
(tried both twrp and cwm)
using RUU gives me error 155 (always exits on "updating signature")
i am able to get into everything (recovery, bootloader, etc) just cant boot
any suggestions? :crying:
EDIT: solved, just had to flash the boot.img from the rom and all was good
so i was trying to boot to a secondary ROM using Boot Manager. didnt work. went ahead to the Boot Manager Folder and Flashed the Update.zip so i could boot normally again. did not work. i was stuck in a bootloop at the splash screen. went to recovery, wiped everything and restored. phone wouldnt boot. tried a superwipe, flashed another Rom, still bootloop. i kept trying and trying different things and nothing helped. even tried reflashing my Hboot. but still. i had backed up everything just in case.
My Phone:
HTC EVO 3D
CDMA (Virgin Mobile)
S-OFF
HBoot: 1.04.2000 (PG8610000)
Radio: 1.09.00.0706
Recovery: 4EXT latest version
UPDATE: i managed to restore my HTC EVO 3D by flashing Hboot 1.50, then locking the bootloader by installing the mini SDK to C:, opening said folder on command prompt and then using the command "fastboot oem lock". after that i used RUU and got my Evo up and running.
