Hello guys.
Ive got some trouble with my X10..
Everytime when im trying to connect my phone on flashmode, my computer says "USB Device not recognized"
But only in flash mode! Any other works fine. Im on Windows 8.1. Unfortunally i dont have the possibility to try this on another computer right now.
I need to flash another kernel, because my ROM is not compatible with it.
Or is there another chance to install a kernel without doing it in flashmode?

Edit: Now even the Debugging Mode doesnt work, or the mass storage mode.... i think my IC is broken ?
Basically you need to test another pc when you get the chance. If possible use xp or win7.

So, i tried it with an Virtual Machine running WinXp.
Ill try it on another Computer if i can.
but for now there´s no other way?

Try downloading flashtool and install it. If you already have one, install the drivers for x10. Don't rely too much on pc companion or seus coz sometimes their drivers are not up to date.

I bot both drivers and Flashtool already installed

Hi my Friend I have My X10 rooted i was installed a rom from cyanomodgen about 2 days and today i was using my phone and puffff is dead black screen, dont do nothing on the buttos any button and conect to my pc and say '' this is a unknown device'' i quit the battery, the sim, the memory allllllll and nothing, What Can i do???? what i need to buy?? Please help meeeee i dont have more cellphones and money to buy another

No everthing was perfect, very fast any problema and puff Off

flash with SEUS...if still no driver download the driver....

I was try with Seus and dont Know the device y try with flashtool too and dont know the device, i use the adicional drives we come from flashtool and windows dont know the device i think the motherboard is damage
, i think te solution its put forced the drivers on windows or use another opeating system

best way is using SEUS with windows 7 and install full drivers of SE. after follow intruction screen on SEUS and recover your X10.
Also tell him, to put phone in flashmode on PC. Just connect it, could install drivers... Also drivers to install are delivered with flashtool for if it still doesn't work. You've to manually install them!
Don't do nothing
They dont do nothing dont on any light, when i conect with seus or flashtool dont know the driver , when i try to put manually the computer cant use the drivers i putted , any people here can enter at the phone with linux ??

My phone is not recognized by the computer. After being on 2.3.3 it reverted me back to 2.1. Everytime I plug it up it tries to install drivers but then it says unrecognized device. It has done this on my PC and my girlfriends PC. I have tried PC companion, and flash tool and niether one of them recognize my phone! So I'm stuck with an unrooted x10i .435. Please someone help me!

I've uninstalled, pc companion, seus, anything related 2 the phone, drivers u name it! I uninstall, restart pc, reinstall, and get the same unrecognized device error! Seems like the drivers that the phone is installing is ever up

in short u are f****d.!
try rooting it with super one click or zroot(somethinng like that).
Yo.. let me explain something.
When i rooted and downgraded the kernel it used the old ADB drivers.
When i upgraded it required the new ADB drivers.
Maybe that is your issue.
flash the generic SE firmware with flashTool. It should work...
turn off phone - take out battery - press back key - insert usb - insert battery.
That should do the trick. Then Flashtool to stock
I probably have used this method 50 times the past 2 days trying to upgrade to GB. Always flashes ok but phone wont boot. Finally gave up and stayed with 2.1 and upgraded to MIUI. So it aint dead yet, just injured LOL
2 different computers won't recognize the phone, I can't flash with flashtool! It goes into flag mode but flashtooldoesnt recognize the phone. Somebody know how to manually install drivers?

i have a somewhat similar problem...i used azzuzu's method to downgrade the kernel for rooting..as it was said the phone got stuck on the sony ericsson logo and i tried to connect it according to the steps..but flashtool isnt recognising my phone anymore and busybox isnt being installed..now my phone never starts up and is always stuck at the sony ericsson logo..plz someone help sorry for posting this in your thread , feeling pretty helpless right now

I Wanted to unlock my BL via SE official method. done everything but stuck in the middle. i'm not able to install s1boot fastboot device driver. tried everything! Help! Give Me Ur Driver so that i can try with those too!

Yes! but when connected in fastboot mode pc recognizes it as semc flash device. Is this it what it should be?

Tried Both!! first it tries to search then It Says cannot install hardware Drivers!

I had a problem installing drivers too when wanted to unlock bootloader.
Somehow it was my computer , so i installed sdk manager and java sdk, and the drivers on my other computer HP mini 2140, all successfully. And this is not the first time i had to install drivers on another computer.
So try that first
Also, stop windows automatically installing, go to device manager and try from there (update driver)

Yes! every time i tried the manual installation! even formated my pc and start the procedure all over again but didnt work. maybe its bcoz my pc is too old (bought in 2004) will try on other pc.

Newer PC shouldn't do a smallest difference. What driver did you to provide to it?

Firstly Android USB drivers then xperia drivers then arc and so many of these but PC can't install it.
P.S. I was able to install semc flash drivers but not adb interface driver.

Hi to all!
Since yesterday, my PC which is running W8 gave an error whenever i tried to connect my xperia mini to my PC. 'USB device not recognized'. I was running CM 10.1 and a new update was available so i tried to flash it. Flashed it successfully and then the network was gone so, what i did was flash back to CM 9.1. Here the problem occurred. My PC is not recognizing my phone. I tried flashing the kernel with flash tool and followed this :- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2095087 Still nothing. Connected it to another laptop running windows 8. Even that didn't work so i connected my phone to my dad's laptop running windows 7. I was somehow able to flash kernel at first but then the same error there too! Tried 3 different PC's and i'm not able to solve this issue! Please help!
as you have a custom kernel on device,try accessing CWM and installing the stock ROM,then install CM again..
btw did you check the CM10.1 page for any bugs..?

Tried 2 different ROM's on the same kernel. Nothing happens. I get the same error each time! Also now my ear-piece won't work too (In both the ROM's i flashed) :'(
I also noticed that using Win XP, i can connect MSC to my PC and copy/paste items. But as soon i go into fastboot mode, it gives me the error!
Edit: I have used CM 10.1 before with no bugs. This started happening only yesterday!
I know this sounds dumb, but do you have ADB on (android debugging) because my windows 8 computer doesn't recognise my phone without it on. Hope I helped.

I have everything installed! Right now i'm on XP. Even it doesn't recognize my phone in fastboot mode!
check device manager..
when you connect your xperia..what does it show ?
try updating the driver by manual selection...
if that doesnt work..
open flashtool..
check the logs when you connect your xperia..

I somehow managed to connect it to flashhtool in flash mode! Now i'm flashing .42 ftf file to use my device somehow with 0 bugs/glitches. It is taking forever to do so! See the attachment!
Any other way to flash ftf file?

Goto flashtool/drivers/ and install drivers and check...

It is detecting my pendrive, my hard-drive and my nexus!
Edit: Tested on 3 laptops each running:- Win8 and other two Win7. Also, tested on 1 PC (dual-booted with XP and Win8) Same result in all of them.
Is SEUS detecting the phone?
Try changing connection modes on the phone...
if not..flash stock kernel
get me a screenshot of flashtool logs for check drivers option..
its here help->check drivers..

Well i guess i solved the problem! I plugged the USB to the back ports. It worked. I guess this is a temporary solution. Now i think my SdCard got corrupt or something. I'll format it

Maybe its the prob with ports, others reported it not working with usb3.

well,why dont try reinstalling your usb controller drivers to see if the front port is workin?...
otherwise if you are done with this problem...change the topic to RESOLVED..

I have problems with Flashtool version 0.9.13.0 (Latest) , so i tried to plug my phone with Fastboot mode / Flashboot mode and Windows says : "USB Device not recognized"
NOTE: I am using Windows 8.1
I tried going into advanced boot mode and i disabled that driver thing , installed drivers,still nope.
I tried front USB ports and rear USB ports (2.0 USB PORTS)
Still Windows don't recognize phone.
I Bricked phone and now i am frustrated that i cannot access flashtool and flash kernel. (I KNOW HOW TO UNBRICK IT)
Can anyone help , before flashtool worked like charm,and now i don't know why it won't work.
I am downloading Windows 7 and i will try it with Virtualbox , sure it will work but this is not solution.

Nah it is not,just got some problems,Microsoft released it before fixing bugs....
