Dude, search in Play Store for rSAP. Install this and this . The second app is a paid app. But you can find a trial version. You must have root access on your phone. I have tested tose two apps on my Xperia Z1 Compact (4.4.2) and works perfectly on my 2010 Passat CC.

Hey Iwan in the Netherlands,
I don't have the pioneer, but did play with one in the store recently. I know your trying to pair the phone to the radio, but actually, I think it should be the other way around. Try this:
Set the radio on discovery
Using the HTC, search for new devices
The radio's model number should appear
Check both boxes for audio streaming and hands free.
Hope this helps & works.

[REQUEST][DEV] Remote Sim Access Profile (rSAP) - bluetooth

Hi all,
We all know that rSAP is not supported by Android
Those with carkits (VW, Audi, etc) with this profile cannot use their Android phone. A massive disappointment.
What will it take to get someone write some code to get this bluetooth profile to work on - for starters - the basic Froyo code for Nexus?
I'd be happy to kick off a project with a $150 donation or an HTC Hero (such as for testing).
Assuming we can get more people together who are interested in this (I am positive!), the big question remains - who would be able to write the required code?

We need rSAP

In Android issue 4402 (not permitted to post outside links, just go to the google code page and search for 4402) about the rSap profile some people are reporting that the Samsung Galaxy S (I9000) does have the rSap profile and does successfully connect to VW/Audi premium carkits.
In the Galaxy S forums are some roms (including a MCR rom for the Galaxy S) ... so there might be some possibility to port some code from the Galaxy S to the Nexus One

Thanks, I found it and repeated my post there as well.
I really hope that someone can come up with something. Surely, as you say it works on the Galaxy S, one must be able to get this to work on the Nexus One, or any other Android phone for that matter.
Hoping to see some more replies here! Or maybe a recommendation of a programmer who might be able to do this.
Cheers, MC
Hi, I have the RSAP working on an Samsung galaxy i9000 wich my Audi built in car phone. The only hing bugging is the sync of phonebok. It synces alright, but with phone conacts only. It took me a while to realize that phone conacts and my primarily used exchange contact list are two different things in this setting. First I had believed it synces only sim contacts. While this is not the problem, I have not found a way yet to "replicate" the synced exchange contacts or map them to the phone phonebok from business contacts, wich would make them visible to the carphone via rSAP.
maybe someone here knows a solution or an app that would solve this? The rSAP itself works, as Samsung has implemented it into the Galaxy i9000.

I will exceed the OP's donation and donate $151 who ever manages to crack the rSAP on Android. Samsing just made the sourcecode (search: Samsung releases Captivate source code) so there seems to also be a ZIP file for the GT-I9000 (European Samsung Galaxy S).
I am stuck with TouchHD for my VW PremiumGSM, and would love to get an Android.
Cheers and keep it up devs!!
+1!
plz, an app for rsap on n1!
Android on GSM... maybe, but limited; CDMA not likely
According to a post 4402, "rSAP allows different devices to connect to your mobile's SIM Card to read your contacts etc. The car than uses its own antenna and gsm Module to call. The mobile phone goes in a stand by mode which needs very low energy."
If this is true, then your rSAP-bluetooth connection is actually hijacking your sim card ID and using it to place calls and receive calls through the car's integrated GSM radio, and not actually synching as it seems. In this case (in the US), there is no Verizon or Sprint fix because neither network uses SIM card (chip based ID profiles) technology, and furthermore, both their networks are CDMA and therefore incompatible with Bentley, VW and Audi GSM modules. If the connection could be bridged, the car's GSM radio would be seeking access to a network the CDMA user is not subscribed to.
So the definitive end is that as long as you have a VAG auto, you better have an rSAP GSM phone to use with it.
Ironically, Apple iPhones are GSM and they have had a longstanding good relationship with VAG, so I am surprised to find them boxed out of compatibility with Audi and VW especially. I am not certain, but it could have something to do with Apple's unique provisioning architecture is as much as they do not have a readily accessible SIM card (or battery), and in doing so, they are not respecting the need for SIM portability.
When I worked at a multi-carrier mobile phone reseller years ago, I briefly had a SIM-card based phone that I could then take the SIM card from and insert it into any GSM phone (from the same carrier) and use that phone to place and receive calls. This same migration can be effected in CDMA technology, but only through over-the-air provisioning, and that process is not as immediate as the rSAP SIM takeover process seems to be.
I'll keep looking into this matter, but perhaps the upgrade we should be barking for is to have VAG integrate support for the same bluetooth profile (HFP) that BMW does. BMWs from 2007 on with bluetooth will connect to my Droid X all day. rSAP just overtakes your SIM id and uses it to place and receive calls on the car's GSM radio. Of course it also can access a portion of your Address Book, but after that, you are stuck with the features offered in your car's radio and no longer have full utility of your Droid phone features and apps, etc. As a result, Google Voice search will be a non-starter for Android rSAP unless the car's GSM radio is actually running Android OS as well. And how likely is that...
maybe this could help?

Does any1 know?
I have a NTG1 Comand in my Mercedes, and the rSAP conection works like charme, with the SGS(2.2.1 jpy).

Hi, Bluetooth Audio works exactly as it works with bluetooth headset: you need to launch a music player on the phone and then the audio will be transfered to your car's speakers. I just got my new VW Touran and SGS works almost fine with it (having troubles with the contacts with emails, which are not synced to the car). I think I'm going to get an SDHC card for my music (Media-IN works great with a usb drive).
Cheers

No connection with my Car Built-in Bluetooth

Hello, I just bought a Xperia S and I did not reach in connection it to my Built-in bluetooth system (a parrot built-in kit in a Citroen). The pjone can see the system but I'm not able to make the system pairing.
I already had difficulties in the past with an X10 but it was linked to Android 1.6 and with my Samsung Galaxy S2 under Cyanogen7. I have no issue to conenct with Nokia E6, iPhone 4 or Android 2.3.X smartphones (Samsung Galaxy S2, Samsung Galaxy S, HTC Desire,...).
I think that it could come from the BT stack used by Sony or from their Android adaptation and I don't think I would be able to pair the system till an update could be released or perhaps with ICS.
Does somebody has the same difficulty or a solution ?
Best regards
Try to reset the bluetooth in your car.

I had the same issue with my bluetooth IO player.First time when I added it after that it would not connect. Turned bluetooth off and on and automatically connected. Might be worth restarting your phone. If the phone can add it then it should be able to connect to it.
Hello, I do,'t know where to reset my car BT as it is a built-in. One solution could be to remove the fuse....
It is not a question of connexion as I'm not able to pair the BT device and the Xperia.
I have no issue with all the other phones !!!
I have a 2009 Ford Mondeo and my Xperia S paired with the integrated bluetooth unit without any issues. Can browse phone book and call log without any issues and obviously make/receive calls.
Hi Guys,
Im having a real bluetooth issue with my SXS and Merc...I can connect and pair fine, however randomly the phone keeps disconnecting.. ive had this working fine with a Iphone4s and lumia 800 so i dont think its the MB side of things...can anyone shed some light on this?

[Q] Car handsfree system and the new BT WP8

Dears, why WP8 bluetooth currently does not support SIM Access Profile (SAP, SIM, rSAP) for handsfree cars?!..
This is the issue that Microsoft needs to explain -> why in WP8, SAP does not get supported.
This is basic functionality that worked natively in previous Microsoft phone/mobile versions and made many of users like me to continue with MS OS and not moving to Android OS or iOS. Why am I so acid? Because I use my car handsfree a lot and now I need to pick up my Lumia 920 and operate directly the phone. The result is that my car handsfree in now reduced to a headset. My wife has the same issue with a Nokia Lumia 820.
With Android (v4.1.1) and a 6" screen chinese dual sim phone ($US 180!! sent to my home), I have better results!! I keep asking myself why I continue to insist with Microsoft....
Guess what? Just installed the latest WP8 upgrade and nothing, the bluetooth issues remain.
Any idea on the date for the new update release?
I have no trouble with bluetooth and my car, my 920 integrates perfectly with it, I see all my contacts and call log, I can press a button and tell it to call a number or contact. After the update yesterday. It even read out a sms I received while I was driving, then I was asked if I wanted to reply to it and successfully replied.
I don't know what more that you would want?
Perhaps your car's bluetooth needs to be upgraded to work with the latest phones?
Hi Peter56, then you're a lucky person!
I invite you to visit the WindowsPhone.com forum and have a quick look at the bluetooth section. You will find hundreds of complains from users like you and me where the WP8 OS is unable to sync contacts, phone lists (received calls), ...etc.
I have an Audi A6 (2007) and Audi already announced that won't upgrade their system because it works fine with all other OS's.
The car costed €70k+ and the phone €600, so it's easy what will be dropped off....
rSAP is not supported in most newer Smartphones (I believe the exception currently is Samsung) because it is using a GSM receiver installed directly in the car which means the Radio in the phone turns off. This disables all data connections on the Phone.
I guess unless the rSAP profile is extended to support data connections this situation won't change anytime soon.

Hands free calling over BT works for me in GM, Toyota, Hyundi, and Nissan cars.
The HFP is the one needed for Hands Free use in a Car. This is the profile every phone supports.
rSAP is fairly uncommon, one would say rare, so not supporting it is hardly a deal killer for WP8. For example, the iPhone also doesn't support rSAP, and other than a few Audi owners, no one else seems to care.
Well, after the update provided by Microsoft (8.0.10211.204), my issues with BT are gone. I have again a handsfree system instead of a headset. I can sync calls lists and phone books.
My Nokia Lumia 920 is now able to deal with my business life. Have fun!

Mirrorlink / DriveLink

Hey there,
some Car Manufactures are integrating smartphones in their car infotainment systems with mirrorlink.
Im working at a Skoda Dealer in Germany and Skoda (also Volkswagen) are supporting mirrorlink.
But there are only a few devices at the moment supporting mirrorlink. (HTC ONE M8 for ex.)
So my questions:
Needs Mirrorlink special hardware or is this only software?
Is there a possibility to add Mirrorlink support to a smartphone by a special app?
Or mayby by a custom ROM?
I want to buy a Moto G 2014 but Motorola is not supporting Mirrorlink for now, so im searching for a possibility to add Mirrorlink.
DriveLink seems to be similar but im not able to download it to my non Samsung Devices.
