Hi guys. I have a problem with Hdmi. I connect the phone and the tv, but the tv says 'no signal' . The phone recognizes it, kinda. The 'hdmi connected' appears in the statusbar but disappears in 1 second. Then appears again and so on..
On ICS it worked perfectly, so its not the cable nor the tv. Any idea?

I don't realy use it, and I don't have a TV but it worked just fine with my screen when I tested it.

Any tv launcher other than the default installed?
I also didn't try it on tv yet.But its not even working on my screen.Any solution?
Maybe the issue has something to do with the HDMI port or cable.. Because mine runs just fine, even when on custom ROMs..

Yes 6.2.A.1.100, default tv launcer.
Maybe it's in the tv settings, becayse the same happen with my screen when the DVI port is selected, the the tv launcger comes up then it close until I select the HDMI port as input, then it come up again.
Some more information....
I tried my new hdmi to vga converter in a Acro S(lt26i) with 6.2.B.0.211 and worked successfully...But I tried it in 3 xperia Ps but the same problem...it will detect but then go off.After 1 sec again it detect and again go off.....I tried in ICS and JB...I think its a kind of bug or something....

ive recently found out that you are able to connect your sixaxis controller to your phone to play games. (ill include the links at the end of the post)
This is where the problem starts, I can connect to my phone easy as it says its supported but i am not able to control any game or even my devise with the controller then a few minutes later the phone reboots...
This is becoming very frustrating...Ive tried different controllers and different roms without success any help would be appreciated.
I'm using wolfs 3.9 2.3.3 rom.

perhaps related.... (using stock 2.3.3) wiimote app works fine for 15-20min then locks up bluetooth and stops working. I can turn BT off but then I can't turn it back on again till i reboot my phone.
Did not have problem before update to official GB

Perhaps its kernal related with the old modified kernal...

I built a controller for that purpose.. and now it's useless.
@all no kenrel related problem it works great for me.
U have to connect the controler first to pc and change its bluetooth address to the Bluetooth address of x10 the small pc tool is found at dancing pixiles studio the official site of that app.

That app cannot used for gameloft games by any method I have tried. it is used for emuators like snes and ps1 emuator

i did that, changing the bluetooth address of the controller to the phones address etc. but it doesnt let me actually use the controller and then it reboots :/ i dont understand

Im getting the exact same issue but with a sixaxis... good to know its not just me. Except mine usually only runs for a minute or so in game. Then control locks up, have to reboot to be able to restart bluetooth.
Except running cyanogenmod 7 on my x10.

Just decided to test on a wiimote, played for about 30 mins on one of my wiimotes using the free "WiimoteController" app from the market. that worked 100%, no lockups. Upon finishing gaming, i turned the wiimote off, changed back to my android keyboard and powercycled the bluetooth and it disabled and re-enabled fine. so im assuming its an beta issue with the sixaxis software at this stage. (its only v0.1 at the moment)
I did however email the developer of the app.
I'm running stock so I wonder if they could make a fix based on the CM7 build for the bluetooth to play nice with the wiimote?

I had the same problem and found there is some incompatibility with Doom Kernel, Im using thgo2 v16 ROM with DoomKernel, and after a few minutes of playing the phone totally locks-up and have to make a battery pull, I decided to change kernel, flashed this custom kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16796499&postcount=1 and worked like a charm.
PS. Playing Legend of Dragoon for PS1 over an hour with no lock-ups what so ever
Hey guys, I've been trying to get my MHL adapter to work with no joy. It worked AGES ago for a bit but it hasn't in a while.
I plug in the USB power, and then plug it to my phone, and then plug the HDMI in. If I do this while my S2 has the screen on it reboots...I have to have the screen off to prevent this.
Once I've plugged it all in, the lock screen comes up on my telly, but the cursor doesn't blink. When I get past the lock screen, the image on my TV doesn't update. If I start playing Vice City, the intro videos will play, but when it gets to the menu screen the image freezes on the intro. If I click past the intro vids, the image freezes on wherever it was in the intro video, on the TV, while working fine on my phone. If I start playing the game, sound comes through my TV speakers but the video remains frozen.
I've tried different ROMs, and I've read every post I can find on here and tried plugging all the bits and pieces in in various orders but nothing seems to work.
Any advice? Thanks.
Did you try stock rom?
Sure have. What I've figured out is that video files which use hardware decoding will work - they will show on my TV properly with sound. Soft-decoded videos, and any app or menu screen or anything else, will not.
It sounds like you're not on a stock rom as this is exactly what happens on non stock roms videos are the only things to play.
Try moboplayer, when I was on 4.0.3 or 4.0.4 stock rom all videos work fine(no matter if soft or hard decoding).
Now Iam on 4.1.2 leak and I have similar issues.
right, 4.1.2 leaked is bugged like hell when it comes to mhl. hope stable will be good.

Hi all I have a small problem with the HDMI, is that when you connect your phone to the TV works correctly but when I start the APP of movies and put a movie or series after two or three minutes the APP is stuck and not I can still see the movie .....
I have a Neo V and am Root, open BL, ROM Zelly Cream and Kernel soft ....
anyone know if it is a configuration issue? is a problem of the TV maybe?
I think the wifi is disconnected or loses coverage ..

Are you try another player like MX player or BS?Maybe the problem is in the "Movie" app , it's a little bit bugy .

Sometime it is in the Overclocking.... just make in for 800-1ghz and ondemand. you can ask also the one who make the ROM maybe he can help you for that.
I have this problem with my Tablet Z, it does not scale movies to the correct aspect ratio/resolution when connected to my 1080p TV.
Since the Tablet Z has 1920*1200, watching a 1080p movie will show black bars at top and bottom on the tablet. But when connected to the 1920*1080 TV, there should be no black bars.
It WAS working on 4.1.2, 1080p movies filled the whole TV and was not squeezed (wide faces) like it has been since 4.2.2 and also with the new 4.3.
If I remember right also the UI was rendered more correctly in 4.1.2 and was not just a squeezed 1920*1200 on a 1920*1080 screen.
Any comments or ideas how to solve this annoying bug?

Thanks, tried with MX Player, but didnt get it to look as good as in 4.1.2. Anyway, photos and other stuff is still not displaying correctly.
It just seems strange that something that was working just fine in 4.1.2 has been messed up nin 4.2 and 4.3.

Yes, I have tried that.
Sony support knows about the problem and blames Google.
Users with Nexus 7 and 10 are having the same problem, but have been able to use apps to change screen resolution which in their case solved the problem.
I am rooted and have BusyBox so I have tried some of the apps and while I can have the Tablet Z to show 1920x1080 correct at it's screen, the TV is still showing a squeezed 1920x1200 image.
I find it rather strange that a (for me) very useful feature is broken in an update and Sony have no plans to fix it.

It is always visible, but you have to disconnect and reconnect the MHL cable to apply new settings.
Hi, is the mirroring function working for u guys? When I press the cast screen button, the device will try to connect and disconnect immediately. Rebooted chromecast and my wifi, not helping. No problem with casting YouTube though..

Is your bootloader unlocked? I'm pretty sure that is what broke mine.
Edit....mirroring is broken for me in quick settings, can't remember if it works from cc app.
It's locked. Am on stock. 118. Only rooted..
