okay, here's what happen, i've been playing with my phone regarding finding the right rom.
here was the last changes that i've made, i did this.
You should be root and you should have CWM 5.0.2.6 Fixed flashed
1.You'll need a coustom rom or a stock with a custom kernel (to get init.d support folder) [AS THIS ROM]
2.Your sdcard should be partitioned, use partition magictools to do It.
3. When you'll get It ready, download int2script in this LINK
4. Boot into recovery
5. mount and system >>> mount /system
6. go back and install the zip
7. mount and system >>> mount /sd-ext
8. mount and system >>> format sd-ext
9. Reboot
10. Done!
and was able to successfully increase internal memory.. however after doing that some apps didnt work properly.
so i decided to flash my phone to a diff. rom again, however i can't download anymore rom in the forum, i mean the download won't even start after i click download, it keeps on failing at the start of the download, i tried to download diff. rom's using my phone but still not allowing me to download any rom. i don't know what happen, but what i can say is the memory is still readable, since i can still install apps in google play, however when i'm trying to download using a browser(tried different browser already), it still keeps on failing i dont know why can anybody assist me please.. i wan't to download a rom in the forum however my phone won't allow me to download it.
Make sure you have sufficient free space on SD card.

I’m a newbie (more like retard) when it comes to this whole update android, leaked Rom’s, recovery, root etc. Can someone please help me get some clarity?
1. Will there be a problem if I try to install the official 2.1 update when I have a rooted phone and Villain 3.4? (No stock 1.5 ROM available via nandroid since I didn’t know what I was doing at the time I first updated it).
2. What is the simplest way to change one's recovery ROM? Do I have to use this whole adb/fastboot (whatever that means) and mess around with things I don’t understand and probably brick my damn Hero, or is there a simple way á la download-copy to SD-click install? The things written in hXXp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=561124 makes me nauseous!
3. What do the terms "Dalvik-cache" and "SD:ext partition" mean, and why would i want to wipe them? (Found them in the wipe-section of my recovery ROM: RA-hero-v1.5.2). Am I supposed to wipe these as well to do what “nprussel” (hXXp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=622468) calls a “full wipe” or is a reset to factory enough?
4. When using nandroid, what is the difference between "nand backup", "nand + ext backup" and "BART backup"?
5. What do you gain from partitioning your SD-card?
To those of you who care to answer my questions – thank you!

From one noob to another, I'll *try* to answer what i can.
1,... Having a custom ROM will not stop you from being able to get 2.1 when it is officially released. I'm sure everything you need will be posted somewhere for easy access. But if you want to download from HTC's website you may need to flash one of the stock ROMS first. You can find all of them at http://android.modaco.com/content/h...oms-radios-in-update-zip-format-for-gsm-hero/
I reckon using one of the HTC generic ones would be your best bet.
2,... This is the method I used:
I. Installing a recovery image:
1. On your phone, go to Settings > Applications - and make sure "Unknown Source" is ticked.
2. On your phone, go to Settings > SD card and phone storage - click Unmount SD card.
3. Then click Format SD card.
4. Plug the phone into the computer via USB, then pull down the notification bar and click on the SD card notification. Then click mount.
5. Download this APK and recovery image and save it to your computer:
hxxp://zenthought.org/content/project/flashrec - FlashRec.apk
hxxp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=561124 - Amon_Ra’s Hero Recovery Image
6. Copy them both to your SD card (do NOT put them inside any folders on the SD card, just put them on the SD card itself).
7. Unplug the phone from the computer once they are downloaded to the SD card.
8. Go to the Market and download ASTRO File Manager or any file manager program if you do not already have one.
9. Open the file manager and find the FlashRec apk file and click it and choose open app manager and then install it.
10. When it is installed click Open. Click on Backup Recovery Image and wait for it to finish. If you get "backup failed" response see the "Ib. Installing the correct HTC ROM" section for more details, if the backup is a success carry on.
11. Once done, click on the empty text box in the FlashRec program and type:
/sdcard/recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2.img
(replace exact name as new versions come out)
Then click on the Flash Recovery Image button and wait for it to finish.
... Big props to BTDAG for those instructions. (from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=645253 -- [Guide] How to Root & Install a Custom Rom on Orange UK & T-Mobile UK [Updated 13/03])
3,... I think a full wipe would be select Wipe Data/Factory Reset, then select Wipe Dalvik cache, then Wipe SD. This is an assumption as they were the steps I followed. (Again, from BTDAG's thread)
4,... Sorry, ain't got a scooby. No Idea.
5,... I think it does something like setting aside a specific amount of room for system files. Some ROMs need partitioned SD cards for the Apps2SD function to work.
I hope some of that helps,... Peace.
Nandroid backs up your phones image (i.e. like a photo of how your phone is on that day)
Nandroid + ext also backs up your ext partition on your sd card (only used if you want to activate and use apps2sd)
Bart is another backup utility, not sure what exactly it does as I have only ever wanted to/needed to use nandroid.
You only need to partition your sd card if you wish to use Apps2SD.
- basically what this does is give you the ability to save and run apps from your sd card as your phone has a limit on how many apps it can have (in file size not number of apps) so if your someone with hundreds of apps then you need to use this but the majority of us don't need to worry about it.
If you root now and want to remain rooted then don't install the official 2.1 it won't take long for a pre-rooted version to come out (a matter of hours) so just wait and install the pre-rooted one
ddotpatel, Lennyuk - Thank you! Your help is greatly appreciated!
After coming from stock I rooted and installed imperium, in it's aroma installer I choose to have nexus 5 walpapers, then after I reflashed stock rom via odin and rooted, then reflashed a custom rom in the path emulated/0/0/imperiun there are about 15nexus 5 walls, if I delete them after a restart they reappear, if I delete hem through my laptop after a reboot they are still there. I always do a ful whipe when installing a new rom, eaven when I update, but they are still there. Is there a way to get rig of them, or to format the emulated folder when I install a new rom?

Yes there is a way to totally format your whole phone (even the system folder). MegaWipe can do that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1832326
Note: MegaWipe will delete your ROM from your phone as well, so you will need to download a ROM and place it in your external sd and after flashing MegaWipe, flash the ROM without rebooting the phone. Because there will be no system to load if you install no ROM.
This is one way to do that. I think there are other ways to do this also.
Thank you.

Thank you! This is very helpful
My galaxy S2 (gt-i9100) was running cm13 for about half a year. Some days ago I let google play update my apps. The result is a bootloop.
I've used the voice recorder to record a lot of notes I need to remember. Is there any way to get those files out from the phones internal storage?
The CWM recovery installed lacks the option to wipe cache / dalvik, which I would hope could get the device out of the bootloop.
When booted into recovery, I've tried adb, but the device is unauthorized.
I think usb debuging was disabled, however, I'm not sure about that.
The ideas I have to solve this are:
1) flash some other recovery that will give an option to wipe cache/dalvik and be able to boot cm13
2) flash some other recovery that will make adb able to pull the files while in recovery mode
3) flash some recovery that is able to copy files from internal storage to sd card
4) factory reset, and hope the files don't get deleted (this is the very last resort)
The thing is that it seems like I'll need to do all installations from SD card via the current CWM recovery. Does anyone know of a suitabel download / howto that can help me get my files off the phone?
If reason for boot loop is Xplore file explorer latest update , uninstall it with developer advices:
http://www.lonelycatgames.com/wiki/xplore/crash_on_cm
I did factory reset twice because of app.
Thank you, Kepsilla. Unless that is an app that is installed with cm13 or gapps, I don't have it installed. But your link gave me hope:
If you have custom recovery on your device (such as TWRP), enter recovery mode, open file manager and delete folder /data/app/com.lonelycatgames.Xplore-1

That means that if I can install TWRP recovery from CWM recovery, I should be able to access the filesystem. That should open up to two possible solutions:
a) Copy my files from internal storage to SD
b) Delete / modify some files to take all apps I've installed from play store will not start automatically.
Does anyone know of a TWRP that would give any of these possibilities and install on a i9100 using CWM?
(I can't really experiment iwht this - I feel the risk of loosing the files is too high. I have to know I'm going the right direction when I do something.)
Solution was very simple: By holding volume down pressed during boot, the device boots into safe mode - no apps started. Then I could just uninstall the apps that were set to autostart. Reboot and problem was solved.
I came across this way to enter safe mode when googling a error message that started to pop up frequently on my S5 mini. S2 with cm13 appears to have the same way to enter safe mode as S5 mini with factory rom.

You can access safe mode that means an app is causing this.
I would Guess It would be facebook.
Now Boot to TWRP and Delete /data/data/com.facebook.katana and /data/app/com.facebook.katana.
Reboot your device.
If that don't work for you Try Using MTP.
If you don't wanna do that.Take an SDCard Insert in the phone.Boot to recovery.
Move the files manually.
Painful but good.
If not A SdCard Slot is present then Try an OTG.
After recovering your data.Do a Full Restore and do a Nandroid Backup.
You are Using Custom ROM!!!!!!!
You are supposed to be taking More Precautions and being less Dumb than other Users.

You have To install a Custom Recovery In order to go further.
Install a Custom Recovery Like TWRP or Team Win Recovery Project.
A custom Recovery is similar to Normal recovery that comes with Stock Android Recovery known as Stock Recovery. The question Might arise that why Custom Recovery but first We Must Come To know That What a Recovery do and How does it become "Custom".
Android recovery is a Program embedded in a part of android storage that helps us to recover restore backup or Flash System Packages.
A Stock Recovery would only flash OTA updates that are signed by the system only.More the stock recovery Would Not be able to do Some functions A Power user requires.
Now the answer to the previous Question That " Why Custom recovery" It's because a stock Recovery can't move files and Make backups called Nandroid backupup.
Now a Nandroid backup is a Backup a Tester or a Power User would Usd to save His A.S.S in Times he Would do something that causes something like you have encountered.
Now A custom recovery Can only be Installed via Flashing From A PC using Odin.
Find the Custom Recovery For Your Device Named TWRP.
Choose very carefully this could destroy Your device PERMANENTLY
After finding Your Device specific TWRP recovery once again make clear it is Good for your device.
Check The Whole File name.
It should have A Name Like "Revovery.tar.md5" remember it should have an "tar.md5 or similar" ending if it don't have that format find again a different Version or use a different web to download it Now Flash It Via Odin. How?There are loads of Videos on Youtube Find "How To Flash TWRP via Odin On Any Device"
After getting A TWRP recovery on your device It's time for you to "Boot to TWRP" Here boot means Directly going to a specific Programes like Bootloaders Recovery Download Mode ETC.
Find or Borrow a Card from a Friend or Someone.this would not take long.
It would only take half an Hour.
Now Boot to TWRP.
After booting to TWRP.
There would be many Options. This page is Called TWRP HOME page.
Click on Advanced.
It would open other option.
Click on File manger.
Now There would be a File Manager Simmilar to Root Explorer.
This is Time We Recover your Data.
Find Sdcard from the list click on It.
Then you would See your internal Memory.
Now Go to the folder where you kept your Images or anything
After arriving to that folder click on the floating little folder icon On the Bottom Right of the screen with a Tick Mark on It.
After clicking on it
It would Open A Series of options.
Click on copy or move.
After clicking go back to The Root Directory(The First Screen you got after clicking on File manager is called root directory)
There you should Find a List of folders.click on Storage Then extSDCard.
Now again Click on the floating Folder icon with a TiCk Mark.
It would again Open the Same Screen as Before Select paste.
Now you have just moved a Folder of your data from internal memory to extSdCard.
Go back To the root directory and Repeat Step 1 to End to recover 1 folder per Try.
After recovering all data.
Remove your sdcard Transfr data to pc.
Go to TWRP home.
Select Wipe.
Click on advanced Wipe.
Tick Cache.
Tick Art Dalvik.
Confirm your action.
Reboot The phone.
If it does not Solve the stuck at screen Problem then Go to TWRP home Select Wipe and Factory Reset It.
It should Boot now.
There is one question Left.
What is MTP.
It is Called Media Transfer Protocol.
It is used to transfer files from PC to device or vice versa.
Have a Good day and ask me For help If you get Some more questions or are stuck.

Since there isn't any Custom ROM for the SM-T380 I made this TWRP back from my tablet, running on stock Oreo took all the bloatware, Knox out to add some root mods, and latest updates with Magisk root. No other personal app added
This is a compressed TWRP backup, not a flashable ZIP!
Download it from here
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1lBsTd04Un6xJQkA0E6LpWxeDX7bhwsai
how to install TWRP
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga.../twrp-3-2-1-1-tab-sm-t380-10-02-2018-t3747564
DOWNLOAD/EXTRACT zip file from above Google Drive's link to your PC
Now REBOOT your tablet into TWRP recovery
connect tablet using USB cable to your PC make sure you have Samsung drivers installed, so you can see your tablet on your PC
ON your Tablet create a backup within TWRP's backup tab on your SD Card storage (choose storage SD card)
browse to that folder and open that SD card's TWRP backup folder, using your PC
go to last folder where you should see some files, delete them then
Copy EXTRACTED files from (Google Drives) into TWRP backups folder on your SD card TWRP/BACKUPS/xxxxxxxx/ from your PC to that SD card.
Where xxxxxxxx is your device serial number;
Once done copying the file
go to, restore's tab within your TWRP
RESTORE everything showing there (all those three partitions)
REBOOT to system
IF you can't see those copied files on your tablet then you have missed something. Restart back into TWRP
Thanks

Indeed it works on a T380

I just installed it on my T380.. Be sure to follow the directions entirely. And remember to reboot TWRP after putting the sdcard with the backup files back in or else it may not read it (mine would not).

followed the directions but device wont read the backup file. would you mind posting all the steps you took to do the backup.
I had the same issue, so when the proper backup files are in place on the ext sdcard and reinserted into the device, but the device won't read it -- for me, I had to reboot the device into recovery and THEN it would read it.

always change apk extension with .APKbak
so if you got into mess you can rename the APKbak into .APK
if i got android 9 can i do this it?
Is file support with t385??
I want to personally thank you for this TWRP image! I completely hosed my sm-T380 that I just got as a backup tablet while trying to root it.
This did the trick Thank you again!!!
I did this using internal memory and all ok. thanks.
I need to say THANK YOU BRO!!!! You just saved my ass!!
But can't tell how much a custom ROM is needed for this device.
Only things to do, is to remove all the bloat left whit the link you provide above and that's it.
Once again, 3 thumbs up! (don't ask me where I found the third one lolll)
it's a great work .I want download it, but I can't download google file directly(site blockked), I have to through VPN.So the speed is not quick enough for me,I can't complete the downloading within an hour when google vary the token. The download work can't continue and must restart from the beginning.
If you have time, would you please split it into several parts, each size blow 300M?Thanks a lot, this file I think useful and can give me big help and save me time.
