Tried using galaxsim but it allows me to pay thru credit card after hitting unlock. Where can I find an app that's free to unlock?

It's the same application that I used. It leads me to the galaxsim pro unlock which is a paid app. Ive installed galaxsim and after hitting unlock it says that unlocking will only be successful if I download the paid galaxsim unlock pro.

Did you download thespecific file?
The version of GalaxsimUnlock from XDA threads is free, only the play store version one is to pay

Uninstall anybpreviuos version of the app and use the one from the link I sent you, if that still fails I can send you the apk file in haven when I get home.

Hi,
I have a problem with my I9300 (Orange PL).
I'm looking for a solution on the forum but with no positive result.
I have the latest Omega rom. Voodoo and GalaxSim Unlock from PLAY store did not see the EFS files. GalaxSim from XDA writes that "Your device is unlocked" but it is not true.
Maybe I need to do as some suggest downgrade to 4.04 or 4.1?

The app says my phone is unlocked when infact it's locked to Three UK and asks for a code when a foreign SIM is inserted

You have probably installed one of the newer modems and you have the new EFS format. I believe that one can not be unlocked with this program. Read the thread on EFS and in case you have an older EFS you can restore that one (and also an older modem), unlock the phone and then upgrade with the unlocked EFS to the new format (by writing the new modem). Take backups of the EFS at all steps.

Thank you for your reply! How can I install the correct modem version with odin ? Before it I was lose my IMEI number, now I have it but I dont want to do any damage in the phone, so what can I exatly do with it step by step ?

I am on 4.3 and have efs v2
it doesn't work for me, I am getting everything green, it says that my phone is unlocked and when I put an unsupported SIM, I get asked to put an unlocking code.
is there any solution to this problem?

I've bought an S2 which is currently locked to O2. I'm on a T-Mobile contract. If I want to unlock the phone is rooting enough, or do I also need to replace the ROM with a custom ROM?
Root should be enough make sure you back up your efs folder first though

Root it then use chainfires app in the market. Unlocked mine in 60 secs. Just rooting on it's own won't unlock the phone

Has anyone got a link to a good copy of the ODIN exe which is required to root the S2? The zip file attached to the link listed in the FAQ seems to be corrupted (I've downloaded it 4 times and each time Winrar is telling me that the archive is corrupt).

Hey guys I have a question ..I recently rooted my gs2 i9100 which was locked to a Canadian mobile carrier called Rogers..after rooting the phone asks me for a unlock code when I put the sim in...I thought that rooting a phone would not require this ..anyone that can answer my question and if possible direct me to a website for the unlock code or a software I can use ...please help thanks

Root only give you admin privileges and full control of Android.
Network lock is stored outside of the system.
Try to use Galaxy S2 Unlock app.

That software requires you to put the nv_data.bin file from your EFS folder to generate an unlock code. It will patch the nv_data.bin with the unlock code.

u can check for some third party apps from stores for the same, may be one like in the link below

Yeah, but the vodoo unlocker will work so you can use your phone again.

I root again and I use voodoo APK
As of now, Gsu will patch a few files, not generate codes.
Once paid, you can use it as many times as you want, it'll be associated with your google account so you might use it with your sgs4 next year

I also have the same problem , after updating the ROMs to the latest version , the sim unlock seems to have disappeared

i am using the latest Slim bean , and the unlock.. there is no problem . use the simlock for JB roms.
I have the issue my phone lost imei, meid and i think basband is also nil so please and because of that i cannot connect to network any help would bhi appreciated, and if any one do correct mine i will do favour in return also

they fixed it by using odin to flash stock tar and they were fixed.

if u don't get ur MEID or IMEI restored then just leave a comment to make another tutorial with the MEID recovery method.
