I am on stock 4.2.1. My problem is that the video recording is dark. When in picture mode everything looks bright but when I start recording it goes dark.
Any fix for this problem?
If you are using some other app for video recording then its a system error.
I think so it isn't supported on our device.

Using stock. It does not completely go dark. It's same as the image below (but not from mmx a116) it's not from my mobile but this is the exact problem. The right image is when I capture picture and when I starting recording it goes dark like the image in the left.

their isn't error in 4.2.1..

If you feel that I was a bit rude than I am sorry. I just thought that you don't know the problem because this problem persisted in 4.2.1 as well as the old stock.
The video gets zoomed and becomes a lot darker than the photos captured at same place, same time and under same light.
I think it's the problem with the video library files which needs to be changed. I think I Will have to look at the other smartphones stock library files with same hardware architecture as Canvas HD.

its a kind of manufacturing defect we can say...it gets a zoomed wen we record video...
so chill on...its an awesome phone..try loving it...

I love the device and that's why I am trying to make it perfect. I don't think it's manufacturing defect, it's the video library files that needs some editing. I am on it and reaching there.

Yes it is because it proves you mess with stuff you shouldn't without performing a backup.
The need for doing backups (for everything, anything you change from using your computer everyday, to changing anything on your phone has been beaten to death) so to come here and admit that is to open yourself to ridicule.
Also it proves that you posted without first reading the rules of the forums, which you agree to when you got an account and had to agree that you have read.
IT is illegal to ask to do illegal things on the forums (ok we start from the basis that regardless of voiding warranty, rooting is not illegal). Trying to copy copyrigthed material is ilegal. Now, you can try to fo to a TMo (corporate) store, and get your SD card exchanged, it worked for some people.....

I just flashed the 4.2 camera and gallery on my Ruby, which is running SpeedROM 8.0, and photosphere opens, but the focus dot just drifts around, and it won't let me begin taking a picture with it. Does anyone know if this is something we can't have due to hardware issues, or do we just have to wait for appropriate hacks to be done?
On the S3, as soon as u center the circle in the target circle, the pic takes and then u tilt the phone up or down to find the next target circle. When you center everything, the pic should snap automatically...

yes the 4.2 camera for the amaze isn't completely bug free since it technically isnt for the amaze... some dev's are currently trying to get out the bugs so that they can get it to integrate into their current and/or future roms

Hey just a heads up, I can't get the photosphere working for the life of me.
I get the same problem that OP mentioned but it never works if I close/open it again. Any ideas? I'm using speed rom right now

You can try changing the build prop model to a galaxy nexus, using an app like build prop editor

Aside from night mod,that is really bad compared with the stock cam in pretty much every cam app i tested so far.Its a great addition with many features.

Burst Shot
I have been trying to figure out how to take burst shot. One way is to hold down the (-) volume button and touch the capture button. But this results in a force close. Does anyone know how to sort this out?
crashes in panorama mode any fix for that?
Heard there's some kind of a virus detected in this camera app like smszombie or something by avast and kaspersky mobile antivirus softwares. If possible please someone run a security check on the app.

Yes, it is just a normal app
I've got 4.3 stock and only diving mode and disco mode work. I've also tested version from Google play and the same modes only work. Do you happen to know the solution?

I dunno why but it just started working, so never mind.
Finally a good working AR Effect!
With the Play Store one (1.1.10) pictures was really dark and i had to take photo with a lot of light!
With this one pictures are great!

Does the camera work with other apps that require the camera? If not, it might be a hardware issue.
