I have p760 with cracked digitizer, looks awe full but it still usable. But i have problem, i didn't notices it happened after the screen crack or before, now my proximity (light) sensor doesn't work, while I'm in the call when i hover my hand above the phone sensor it doesn't go black. I have downloaded program "proximity sensor finder" which when you hover hand shows approx how many cm's your hand is, but it always shows (----- cm) like my proximity sensor even not there

The subject matter of this thread is the Proximity Sensor, meaning, when you receive a call and put the phone to your ear, the screen supposed to turn off so you won't accidentally hang up or open other application by touching the screen with your face. The Proximity Sensor of my phone worked perfectly. However, couple of days ago the Proximity Sensor stopped functioning and I'm wonder what could have caused that. I'm picking up the phone, talk on the phone and the screen is fully lit. I remember that, one day, I calibrated the screen... Could that have been the cause?
Anyway, does anyone know how to turn the Proximity Sensor on or, if it is on, how to make it work properly?

i'm having problems with my proximity sensor. in the middle of a call, the screen lights up suddenly even when i got the phone pressed hard against my ear. is there an app that can fix this issue?
I would like to know this as well, my sensor seems to have a mind of it's own whilst I'm on the phone.
My device (a Samsung Galaxy pocket Plus) has no proximity sensor and therefore doesn't turn off the screen when I am talking. So I am searching for a way to turn off the sceen at the beginning of each call to avoid random input on the touchscreen.
I found a lot of similar questions in the forum, but I found none that applies to my situation. In most cases people have a crashed proximity sensor and use the app "proximity screen off" as workaround, but that app doesn't work if there is no sensor present.
Is there an app that turns screen off in the moment I or the other side accepts a call without the presence of a sensor? If not: Would it be a big deal to create one?

when i test it if i put my finger on it it work if i move my finger 2mm it stop working.
example: when make a call screen not going black except if i touch the phone to my ear.

The fingerprint animation while screen is locked appears every time except when the phone is vertically upside down or when the phones screen is fully covered from top to the level of power button(I guess some proximity sensor is used to make this happen).
But exactly where is this sensor??
I am not able to find an app which connects with the proximity sensor of our phone. Any app?
