Does anyone know of an SD Swap available for the XTZ (specfically SGP312)?
I tried one for the Xperia Z, but it didn't work.

Hey there,
I was wondering. Is the 4GB internel storage inside the Xperia U soldered onto the motherboard or is it just an SD card that's mounted internally? My Kobo had an SD that was simply plugged in inside the shell, which could be taken out and replaced with a higher capacity one although it had to be of the same class and speed. Could we do that with the Xperia U?

As you can see on the link, the storage has been soldered to the mainboard (the SanDisk chip)
Well, that sucks. Also, another question:
When we're porting a rom from the Sola to the U, the music apps wont be reading them from the internal storage, but rather directed to the SD card, but U doesnt have an SD card. So, how do you change that?
I don't really know how did you meant that, but in Xperia U, the internal memory has been partitioned and some of the space has been mounted as /sdcard (/mnt/sdcard), so the music apps should recognize it as an SD memory.
what I meant was, I tried porting a ROM from the Sola. But the music and other things don't recognize it because I think it has something to with Sola having an SD slot, so there is some change that need to take place in some .apk
Hi,
My brother wants to increase his xperia z2 internal storage.
i've 64GB micro sd.
i have tried partitioning(mini tool partition) it but didn't work,when i open link2sd it says {mount script error} {Mount script cannot be created}.
I would really appreciate if someone help me to find the solution to this.
Thanks in advance,cheers!!
Cant do that without modifacation of both the hardware and software
You could probably repartition and create a link to the external storage but that would need to be initilized every boot
For now just use GL2SD for larger files or buy another phone e.g 32gb nexus 6
If your phone is rooted then you can use foldermount to store internal memory files to the external SD card (for things like games etc)

Hey guys, my phone has literally only got 400MB of internal memory left and I wanted to do something about it.
Apparently in order for me to use my external memory (micro-sd) card, I'll need to root my Android device first.
How do I root my Xperia M4 Aqua - 8GB? I have checked and it does indeed have a unlocked bootloader (don't know what that is but apparently that's good) and how can I root it so it doesn't get bricked? I don't want to use any customized ROM or anything as I heard that you can get bricked via that. I just want to root it, nothing else.
And after rooting, how do I use my micro-sd card as internal memory on the phone? Thanks!
Hello!
Follow this guide to get ROOT; http://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/general/tut-blu-twrp-root-xperia-m4-aqua-t3238962
I use link2sd to link apps to SD card.
You have to make two partitions on The sd card.
Google link2sd and you will find plenty of guides
Good luck
Another thing worth mentioning is that Android Marshmallow has support for merging your SD card and internal memory into one, meaning that the SD card will literally become an extension of the internal memory. However, you'd have to wait for the Marshmallow update for your Xperia M4 aqua for that..which will most likely arrive early next year.
Hi I have a Xperia z2 and I recently upgraded to the marshmallow update. And now the apps on the sd card won't open, they have a red sd card symbol next to them. What has happened to my sd card, can someone please help me thanks.
that is know problem of permissions SD card in MM, solution for that i guess in eXistenz Rom 3.5.0
Your Sd is still good, but the app permissions are broken. Try installing the apps again without uninstalling the damaged ones.
What type of Micro SD Card Do I need to use as Internal Storage in my Sony Xperia M4 Aqua (E2303), does it have lag, and can I use Samsung Evo Plus 32 GB 95 MB/s U1 Micro SD Card? Thanks!
you can use sd,sdhc and sdxc (all micro sd) up to a reported 256 gig so i dont see any reason why you couldnt use the evo plus card ,give it a try it wont do any harm.
I use a scandisk ultra micro sd hc1, 32 gig card in my M4 Aqua
