great! jb is 4.1 or 4.2?
Still no official words, but I think we will make for 4.1 .
DXEngine for JB 4.1 relased. Thanks to extremetempz . Download and report!
BTW: Try it with DX X/10!
I had download and flashed the Kernel with your DX X/10. If compare with the FeraKernel JB v4, there have a bit slow and laggy. I had set the CPU governor as smartassv2 and speed in 384~1190MHz.I/O scheduler is BFQ.
Strange :/. I was using FeraLab v4 in the past and today flashed it too and it seems to be working similiar, while DXE need some time to work better itself cause of new Linaro version. OC it to 1228 with performance profile for a moment or two, then back to your daily option and see how's .

I not sure whether 1228Mhz will run in my phone or not. Based on previously tested, 1228Mhz will give me a WLOD when running certain apps. Btw, I will try and report to you after this....
Don't forget to give it some time .
tested 4.1 kernel...so far so good...hopefully got 4.2 kernel in future..
btw....can u list down the feature of the 4.1 kernel? hehe

Great work with the kernel DikeJ ... its really smooth and fast.. i set the frequency to 1190 and had no problems battery life is good..
and the antutu score is the best i got on my x10...
The next thing we wish is the caller screen and phonebook of xperia z for x10...great work appreciate it mate..
Impressed.
Just replaced Ferakernel v4 with DX Engine and wiped cache and dalvik.
After reboot i made setup as follows: 245/1228/Smartassv2/Noop
The ROM settled real quick (total of only 59 apps), and it still is stable @1228!
I expected it to wlod, because with other kernel my hardware can't keep up with this frequency (max: 1190).
So, till now I'm pretty impressed, and i'll let it settle some more and see how battery will perform.
thanks to DikeJ and eXtremeTempz
I usually get reboots while using map, did anyone check it too?

I've never used tethering before, but i'm setting it up right now.
I flipped the switch in Settings and it shows a predefined SSID: Sign into Wi-Fi network with WPA2 PSK and a predefined password.
I changed password to a simple text (abcdefgh), and it's up and running.
Trying to connect with my Asus TF-101 (custom 4.2.2 ROM) ...
It finds the SSID, and I enter the password. It's verifying.....and ends up with authentication problems.
x10 is still running and doesn't WLOD or anything.
On x10 I switched security to Open. The tablet instantly connects and i can browse on my tablet.
Cannot test USB tethering. Sorry.
Best regards,
UltimateGeppie.

Hi boys, this is my modified rom for my xperia play, based on original but with beatifull graphic and system tweek.
I worked hard on the graphics and I give you the possibility to test it, I do not think you ever seen such beautiful graphics and equally gratifying to use
I removed all the bloatware SE and added new programs and lawncher (Go Launcher ), added ringtones, alarms and so many more useful programs by default.
The rom is great at the best kernel in circulation, is the great Doomlord v10, and my rom has already 'integrated libraries to work with the wi-fi.
I hope you enjoy and if you'd like to offer me a coffee, beer, etc. I do it I will be 'very happy and I will continue the development of this terminal.

What is the "G" for in place of the 3g or Hsdpa?? Normally my data connection says H. Will it still catch the H connection speeds?
G is just the type of connection... Where as 3G is miles faster, H even faster.. And H+ faster still! G is the slowest form of data connection.

Darkforest ICS 18-04-2012 INCREMENTAL UPDATE - DISCONTINUED
Hey,
I recently discontinued this ROM as I am working on other stuff for development now, with FreeXperia, and I think this ROM is complete enough to discontinue it.
For the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY, based on Official Sony beta. Tweaked for performance and stability, with some eye candy too.
Maintained by KeiranFTW of Team Darkforest @ http://darkforestgroup.com
Light, AOSP styled Android 4.0.3 Rom for the Xperia Play. Rooted, Google Applications and Face unlock pre-installed.
Rom package may look big in size, but that is because Google Apps and Face Unlock are included.
Changelog so far:
Mobile Bravia Engine Installed
Added WiFi fixes
Added Darkforest App with onboard OTA and tweaking
Added latest su binary and superuser application
Google Apps pre-installed
Face Unlock pre installed
AOSP Themed (Thomassafca)
FB Video and Game Like apps removed
De-odexed framework
Added AOSP Messenger/Conversations
Removed Sony Home
Added FileManager (OI)
Busybox installed
Notification Toggles
Property Tweaks
Working Touchpad and Gamepad
New Adreno200 libraries + drivers (performance increase)
Added CPU Option in Darkforest app, here you can set CPU frequency, governor and IO scheduler in app, meaning you don't need SetCPU or NoFrills anymore
To use the CPU settings bit, available frequencies need to be exported at /sys, this is present in Darkforest kernel, not sure about DooMKernel, but this won't work on the stock kernel.
Added CM Music instead of semc music, to add << || |> >> to status bar go into application settings.
Added BLUE notification toggles.
Replaced Launcher2 with Trebuchet, should work well, using nebkat's Trebuchet.
Added AOSP keyboard
Added DARKFOREST Settings in Settings application
Performance Settings under DARKFOREST Settings in application, tweak CPU Speeds, I/O scheduler, CPU Governor
CM Trebuchet (Launcher) Settings under DARKFOREST Settings.
Added WP7 style notifications in the new update, with transparent background.
Screenshots of Incremental update functionality is below.
*** You must use a kernel that exports available frequencies at /sys, Darkforest Kernel does this, if CPU Frequency options are not present in Performance Settings, ask your kernel developer to do this ***
Installation Instructions:
If you are already on Darkforest v4 ICS ROM, there is no need to do the below, just flash the update over the top.
If you are using ANY other rom, you WILL need to do the below. If you do not you probably will run into issues.
First of all, flash this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1571463 <- this contains the base.
Then, flash an ICS kernel, preferably advanced stock, or hotboot one which has recovery.
Then, put the file on SDCard, and flash through recovery
4.1.23 Download: http://icxperia.com/keiran/DFRv4/DFRv4.1.23.zip
18-04-12-DFR-INCREMENTAL Download: http://icxperia.com/keiran/DFRv4/18-04-12-DFR-INCREMENTAL.zip
Please install the incremental package over the top of the ROM.
Download is also via Darkforest Application.

glad to heard that, but three days??? i even upload this one last night how could be...????
If this is a silly basic question, I don't care.
Does this ROM support wifi tethering?
I mean infrastructure tethering e.g. using phone to tether off another.
So?
Is this fixes the inverted screen thing?

you can download wifi tether for android 3.1 BETA14 see it on the downloads tab.
though there is no wpa_supplicant support. but tether still works. tried on ics.
Default wifi tether doesn't work for the device I want to connect.
Maybe because it uses Ad hoc to connect I think?

Its stable. Data works. Used it myself and there were no crashes. Nobody else is complaining right?
Just don't turn off Auto Rotate screen, I think?, and you'll be fine.
Judging from the FINAL in the name I'm guessing there won't be any updates.

why not? i personally hate auto rotate so i always turn it off... what does it have to do with the stability of the rom?

It seems that turning auto rotate off causes freezes. I know, crazy, right? I also don't like it but it's better then crashing. No one knows what causes this bug.
That said I'm not sure if this bug applies to this rom. You can either test or wait for the creator to answer.

I don't know much about this stuff. If I flash this, will it be overwritten by the CM kernel when I update CM?

Yes, at least I think so cause CM always makes kernel stability better on each release but jose51197 will keep this updated frequently

So since CM is always updating will this work on any build that I have right now?

Yes I would imagine so. I'm using it on avatar rom at the moment. And it just applys zImage to kernel.

Are there any oc options for stock ROM? I know I should just switch to CM or Viper but I haven't made the leap yet...

Can't wait for a Sense kernel, I have weak signal issues with CM, and would love to have some new governors and kernel based overclock/undervolt on Sense. Thank you for bringing this to us.

BTW, I know a while back some people were having a "weaker signal" with CM, but after looking into it, it turns out the signal was the same, just the amount of bars shown was different. Meaning Sense was just mis-representing with a stronger signal than it actually had. You might actually have issues, but thought I'd mention it anyway.

Cool, I'll check my signal in one particular spot, then flash over to cm and check the dbm rating in the same spot.

glad to know this, first kernel made, any features anyone wants, sweep2wake is in progress(beta kernel, still waiting for my device) and fastcharge is added too, only reason for not being a public release is that i dont know if these are effective, sense kernel will be soon, just that htc source is buggy and gave me errors even compiling without modificatios!! :crying:
