Hi I'm new to the nexus 10 and I was wondering if anyone knows of a ROM without any major bugs?
I use it for school so I don't really have time to play around is official cm 10.1 as stable as stock? Or is stock the most stable?
Thanks

Stock is always the most stable. None the less my n10 with cm10.1 nightlies runs rock solid. No bugs or reboots. Can only suggest you try it.

I want to second the cm 10.1 opinion. I ran SentinelROM (based on cm 10.1) for a long time and it was almost perfect. I have since switched to the official cm10.1 nightlies because of bluetooth issues on Sentinel and I am happy to say it is working very well.
Moreover I have found cm10.1 ROMs are the only ones giving a smooth UI performance. On my tablet AOSP ROMs always seem a bit jerky and seem to work with a lower framerate. Hard to put a finger on it but it may be the different Mali drivers but that is just a guess.
There are a ton of ROMs with no bugs, although all the major ones have had a few bugs lately in the last couple builds. Now that the issue has been found out, all the major builds should be stable once again.
Rasbean is built from AOSP source the same as the stock ROM
SaberMod is also built from stock source but with a more unique toolchain
AOKP is built off the AOKP source, there are many variants from official all the way to PUB. Mr.Robinson and Apophis are the most popular
Sentinel is one of the more popular CM10.1 builds
I personally have liked RasSaber the best, which is RasBean with the SaberMod toolchain and optimizations. The ROM is no longer available though.

CM10 or Carbon are good bets, but they will never really be as stable as stock. If you don't have time to mess around and you use your device for school regularly, then using a ROM might not be a good option for you at all, truth be told.

No reboots? Really? How did you manage that one.... It's at least 10 reboots per hour on mine. I can sit there and enjoy the boot logo over and over again while it reboots itself without me even touching the damn thing.

10 reboots an hour!?! I might get one a day, this is on stock ROM/ktmanta kernel, rooted and overclocked to 2.1ghz/720mhz. I don't often play games though, mainly browsing and reddit.
CM is in my experience about as buggy as stock or better. It's certainly more stable, at least. I've been getting less reboots since I moved to CM, to the point that I hardly care anymore about the issue.
If you don't care about tablet ui, I recommend sabermod. Pretty fast and stable-

I'm on stock unrooted and I just want a rooted, hassle-free experience. So which rom right now has the least known complications? Just a quick look at the development section makes me think it might be the Unofficial Rom.
Any recommendations?
I'm pretty happy with the alpha 2 from DAGr8. His third version gave me too many problems. The other roms' forums seem full of problems with the store or messages...I guess just try a few. If you nandroid where you are now switch back shouldn't be too hard

There aren't many at the moment. I would suggest staying stock with some tweaks until our phone becomes more widespread(it's still new)
I just flashed theunofficial and so far it hasn't given me any problems.

I would give unofficial a try. It is by far the most stable custom rom I have ever used. It has never frozen, given me FCs, or had weird random issues. So basically it works flawlessly and this is the first custom rom I can honestly say that about.

I have flashed all the roms and i keep coming back to Saurom 7.1 I do like the unofficial as well. You have to at least try 2 of them to test around with because really comes down to personal preference when many roms become stable.

I also must jump on the Unofficial bandwagon as it is "very" stable. I was on Solaris for a while but it seems to be out of the picture for now. But if you want a hassle-free experience, go for the Unofficial.
Another for "The Unofficial". Great ROM, very stable and smooth.
Dag_8 Alpha II is the best ICS out so far. It's currently my daily driver.
Alpha III caused SMS issues and other FCs.
If playing4sheezy comes out with Beta 2 for NOTEWorthy then I'll be switching to it, because it is the smoothest, cleanest, ICS out yet...
A Question
I have a question for the folks using alpha II, what do you like about it over Alpha I? I keep comming back to Alpha I because it is the most stable for me.
Cheers

Hi guys,
I am currently on AOKP ICS M6 and really like the stability of it. With JB 4.1.2 out, would you guys reckon that it will be stable enough for use as a daily driver?? My Nexus device runs well with JB 4.1.2 and I kinda like the fluidity and added functions of it. Will hope that I can replicate that in my SGS2.
Which build will be a good place to start if I am most concerned about stability and battery life?? CM10 nightlies? Kinda disappointed that CM has dropped supported for SGS2 and I am wondering if this affects the quality of the nightlies.
CM10 is pretty stable, for sure you can use it as daily driver.

played around with various JBs. I find that they are quite stable apart from the occasional FCs.
However, this one bug really irritates me and will be the deal breaker for JB: >>> Half Volume Bug!!!
Can I confirm that this bug is common across all versions of JB, be it AOKP/CM??

Maybe its just me, but I'm on Paranoid Android 2.5 and theres no volume issues whatsoever. First time I took a call after flashing this rom almost popped me eardrums out. Worth a try if that's what is stopping you from going JB 4.1.2 . No FCs so far either.
I often run piers unofficial aokp and sometimes official builds and I haven't experienced that bug. Not even once.

Is there ever going to be an M snapshot, RC, or Stable version of CM10.1 for the Galaxy Tab 10.1?
I'd like to use something better than a nightly.

There might be but considering that we haven't got a stable cm rom yet. Even after cm9 and cm10 support I would say it will be extremely unlikely but saying that this is probably the last version of android of the tab so because of that ad because we have much more time we could end up with a stable rom.

CM 10.1 is actually stable for P4. Nothing force closes on me and there are no SODs. As a matter of fact it feels so much smoother than official ICS. I have the ICS, CM10 and CM 10.1 and in the past I was alternating between all three but for over 3 months I have not restored the ICS at all. The CM10 I have restored a couple of times mostly to apply new updates after which I run back to 10.1. It is snappy and with the deep sleep fix, it is just so much nicer.
Special thanks to the CM team who have kept our device alive and kicking. No immediate plan to replace it. I call future-proof. Zillions of thanks to Pershoot, one great guy I admire for his support and doggedness!
Give it a try, I am sure you will find its worth it.
Cheers!

Yeah I got CM 10.1 I get many force closes and other things but compared to the official ics release it is a hundred times smoother. The first thing I did as soon as I got y tab 10.1 was to root it and remove the touchwiz crap and have some pure CM goodness. Probably will update to the latest nightly cause I am running a nightly which is about 3 to 4 weeks old.

There a few good choices out right now, I'm curious to hear what rom Rezound users are using as their daily? Which rom are you using, for how long, what problems are you experiencing or have experienced and your current settings that are making your phone run so smooth?
We also have Beanstalk, XenonHD, Infection, PAC-Man, Tron, Rage, 10.1 & 10.2. I'm currently on LiquidSmooth, been on it for the past few weeks and it seems this could be the one, I'm tired of changing from rom to rom due to bugs.
Hopefully this thread can share others stories and opinions which can help in choosing a solid daily rom to use.
Ecliptic rez v9 for a few months now. No problems at all.

I am running an XA revision model. S-on. Clean flashed Infection and funky kernel (flashing updates as they come) with HTC dumlock TWRP (temp s-off).
I have two batteries (laza two battery and charger combo), so I switch them out frequently as to not have one wear faster than the other. I swap about one or two times a day (essentially rebooting my phone two times a day).
I have had no issues with this ROM. Been running 2.9.1 since release.

I've used Infection, Tron and a few sense roms, but currently I'm running Beanstalk, which is my favorite so far. Stable and fast.
Although the first 4.3 rom showed up! We'll have to keep our eyes on those.

I've been getting a lot of reboots on Liquid Smooth. I don't know what's going on as it was going fine for a while now. But like I said, now my phone get extremely hot, reboots a lot and my biggest concern is the screen tear. My phone will flicker sometimes and it looks looks like streaks going down my phone screen. I usually run PAC, and am currently on izzaeroth's build of it, has been extremely stable for me. I've been running it for over a week, which is a pretty long time for me, but I've had no SoD's, no bootloops, no problems.
I've flashed most of the roms up here, and I always go back to PAC for the options. No offense to Neo, but his roms are the only ones that give me bootloops, so I've kinda been avoiding them lately.
I had been running Infection flawlessly (Built in kernel at 384Mhz minimum clock, default overclock built into ROM) until my contract ran out, then I switched my personal phone from a Rezound to a GSM unlocked phone on Net10 (HTC Aria right now, but a SGS2 Skyrocket is en route as I type). I would highly recommend it as a daily driver and good tweaker ROM.
My work Rezound is just out of warranty, and after running almost every major build here, I will likely be unlocking and switching to Liquid Smooth on that one, but that is just because I know it is rock solid stable and I want something different for a change, my employer doesn't care... Nothing wrong with Infection at all though, I would highly recommend it.

It's just a newer build than the last one released by shrike as far as I can tell, it has been a little while since shrike did a build. It's buried in the PAC thread, link to post.

the most stable from my experience was a cm9 ics based rom as its most compatible with the device...most roms 4.1 based and higher have reboot issues because of a deep sleep issue caused by the default setting of the min frequency being too low under performance settings...but if you want everything to work including bluetooth and not have sense cm9 would be your best choice...4.3 based roms still have many bugs such as mms not working after first reboot and camcorder keeps force closing..4.1 and up still has a few bluetooth based bugs and your reboots...the reboots still happen on 4.3 based roms like pac until you change it to proper settings

Even the latest version of cm9 (back in 05/28/13) has bluetooth problems. Is there really no aosp or kang that is 100% functional? Weather it be 4.0, 4.2, 4.3? Came close with Liquid Smooth but still having soft reboots.
Consider Talon v1.0, because either nobody is using it (unlikely with over 3000 views), or people are using it and brenuga just built it right and it works... and my money is on the later. Seems extremely stable, feature rich, and bug-free, it is what I am going with for my work phone.
My ROM of choice is CM10.1.3. I have zero issues with it. CM9 would be my next choice.
