Any page plus users? - HTC Droid DNA

I am currently on straight talk AT&T with nexus 4. I really love this device, however there service is not quite there yet. I used to be with Verizon and there service is great (you just pay way to much). I would be okay with 3g data speed.
So my question is how long have you been using the DNA with page plus and are you happy with them.
Is development still good with the DNA or are devs moving on?
Do you think it will at least be updated to 4.2?
Thanks everyone for your input.
Edit : what is a con off the DNA?

Let's try the one bump per 24 hours thing.
Anyways dev isn't falling off from the DNA, its still getting new stuff constantly.
I can't help with page plus, I have T-Mobile. Perhaps not many do, hence no responses about it.

Thanks for the reply,I was a bit haste in the bump.
it seems to be a solid phone and that sounds good with development still happening.
I am surprised more people are not doing the pre-paid thing.

page plus is a prepaid carrier of Verizon. 55 bucks gets you unlimited talk and text and 2 gig of data (3g) it is just like net 10 or straight talk, but for Verizon.

I'm reading a lot of data issues with ST. Are you using an ATT Note i717? Mine is rooted with a JB rom.
Soft cap is ~2GB for data on At&t compatible sim card. Not sure about T-Mobile compatible sim card, but I think I remember reading on HoFo that it was around 5 gigs.
I received a call from them when I hit 2.1, but I haven't hit that mark since.
If Tmo existed in IA, I would switch to the $30 prepaid since I hardly talk, and when I do, I generally use GV

DNA to Sell

If anyone knows someone searching for a DNA message me. It comes with Trident, Seido, and Bodyglove cases. In good shape, no scratches. Rooted, unlocked and S off. If you want a reference let me know. I've sold phone here before to a well respected member who you can check with if you want. Just don't want to put his name public and have him bothered more than necessary.
I'm going to Tmobile, can't afford my Verizon Data plan anymore.

Only if your in a reframed 1900 MHz area. The DNA doesn't have support for mobiles 1700 MHz aws band. You'd be stuck with edge.
It works with 3g on att though. If it's just you on a plan theres plenty of cheap prepaid options on att. I'm using my droid DNA on net 10( att prepaid mvno)

Just thought I would post here instead of creating a new thread. I have a DNA for sale as well. Unlocked, Rooted, S-Off. It's a limited edition red DNA. Only problem with it is the cracked screen. I would replace the screen but don't have the time to. If anyone is interested shoot me a PM.

[Q] Gnex to the DNA

Well after going through 4 GNex replacements VZW has decided to send me a HTC DNA to replace it, and it will be here monday.
I am curious as to the two different DNA Development Threads... ?
Can someone explain?
Also as I have been reading threads (still reading now) that the current RUU is unrootable?
Is this still true? ( I may have already got to "that thread" by the time I get an answer)
Just trying to get some info before I delve into it.

Are you referring to the DNA Android Development and DNA Original Android development boards? The first one (loosely speaking) is more for kangs, and roms that are based off of stock, as well as roms that are based off of other people's work (i.e. not fully original work). The original development board is geared towards roms built from source (i.e. AOSP roms), as well as development that introduce original features.

Agreed.
I intentionally moved from the gnex to the DNA, as I had a coupon to get it for free and I felt the deal couldn't be beat.
After a slow start (as s-off wasn't available yet) when I first got it, I am now absolutely thrilled with it and couldn't be happier.
Performance is so much better than the Gnex, it's ridiculous.

I too will be a Gnex refugee. My 2 Gnexs have touch screen issues that come and go. My used DNA should arrive tomorrow. I just want an Android phone that works properly. I'm also buying a Qi wireless charger.
I am S-off, Rooted. Tried several roms but had no data at all, couldn't sign in to Google account.
I had backed up my stock Rom after I rooted and I'm on it now. Rebooted.
On LTE/cdma. Getting frustrated... No 4G sucks.... Don't know how I ever survived on 3G....lol

Have you tried to ruu it? Maybe that will help. Also try after ruu going into stock recovery and factory reset from there. It fixed my radio when I was stuck on roaming... Maybe it will help you. Also have you tried reseating the sim card? Those have been known to be very touchy on our phones

Did Verizon and HTC break up?
The only HTC phone available on their site is the Incredible 4G and its for pre-owned only.
In store they have nothing.

And to celebrate, a day later Verizon Wireless forced HTC to take the bootloader unlock down from htc.dev site.
Yea looks like Verizon certainly has a firm grip around HTC and Samsung's balls. Both flagship devices are now locked down with the latest softwares.
And with VZW locking down the bootloader on the One, it is now time that VZW and I break up.

HTC one At&t

I'm currently with sprint/boost running a Samsung Galaxy S 3 but I had a chance to play with the At&t HTC one and I must say I'm impressed. Very very nice build quality but I can't get past the lack of removable battery and sdcard slot.
Here's my question, how many of you came from a Samsung device to the HTC one and are overall happy with there decision? 32gb is a lot of space but.....ya its not removable.
How hard is it to unlock the bootloader cause god knows at&t loves locking down there devices?

1. I had the SGS3 on AT&T and have been using my HTC One since May and I am still sitting on 12GB of free space.
2. Battery has been fine, I had to get my original one replaced through warranty because it kept locking up and the it wasn't properly aligned but the new one actually gives me a much better battery life. I went from 2 hr's screen @ 18 hr's used to almost 3 hr's screen at 20's used. Again I have work e-mail and security software installed on my phone which drains the battery a good amount.
3. Depending on what bootloader version you get with the new device you can either use Revone/Moonshine to unlock the bootloader or if you get a device with the newer bootloader you can still use HTCDEV to unlock it the official way through the manufacturer.

Well I decided not to go the route of at&t due to severely restricted data usage and way overpriced data plans. $90 for 6GB of data is pure greediness on at&ts part. I get truely unlimited data for $30 a month on sprint so it just makes no sense to move providers

I collect almost every flagship device from the top OEMs and the HTC One is a huge upgrade from the S3. I've held a S3 today and it felt so horrible in my hands because I'm so used to holding this metal housing on my phone. And the difference in speed is crazy
If you plan on switching to AT&T you have the choice of a 32GB version or 64GB version. Plus cloud storage if you use Dropbox or Drive
And I think we have a AIO(All In One) toolkit now to make it even easier to unlock your bootloader

Pretty sure straight talk uses AT&T towers.
And in my opinion customer service is the biggest downfall of mvnos like straight talk. Go ahead and look up some reviews there are a ton of horror stories, people getting there service or data throttled or even cut off at arbitrary times, and not being able to get it straightened out. Eff that.
Sent from my MB860 using xda app-developers app
You can't expect good consumer service from prepaid providers. Just look at Metro PCS.. No disrespect but when I call consumer service I want someone who I can understand answering my questions
And Straight Talk uses AT&T and T-Mobile towers. You choose which carrier you want when buying the sim. They also support AT&T LTE now.
