Have you tried flashing a stock ROM from TWRP?
-------edit----------
I just remembered. This used to happen on the Note 2 at times. If you're booting and get the Samsung splash screen, try going to TWRP and doing a Factory Reset a couple times. No idea if it will work, but with the Note that would usually clear whatever block existed and allow the ROM to boot past the splash screen. Good luck.

If it exists, it would basically be that ROM stuck into a .zip file which could be flashed from TWRP. I'm not sure it exists, was just browsing the Dev thread for you to see if anyone posted it. There is a version here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292707 , but I'm not familiar with Loki enough to say whether or not you have it.

If Odin isn't working for you, a solution might be had via TWRP since you can still get into the recovery. If you flash your ROM or try your backup, does the install complete or does it crash? Have you wiped cache, dalvik, system, and data before the flash?
-edit-
Sorry, just saw your OP where you said you wiped and tried. If I were you my next step would be trying a different ROM just to see if you can get something booting.

Trying again. First wiping wiped cache, dalvik, system, and data , then restoring back up. I've tried this multiple times before hopefully it works this time. But generally when i hit reboot system afterward it just hangs at the Samsung Galaxy IV boot screen and does nothing.

After your backup restores, try using TWRP to do a Factory Reset a couple times before rebooting. Also wipe cache/dalvik again before the boot.

Failed again stuck at Samsung Galaxy S4 boot screen

I would try downloading a ROM to your computer then copying it to a microsd, put the card in your phone and then try to flash the fresh ROM from TWRP. (After wiping everything again.)

[Q] Bricked Verizon S4?

Hey guys, thanks in advance for the help.
So, I was coming from one of the earlier Hyperdrive ROM versions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41989203#post41989203, and flashing to the newest version. Following the instructions, I used TWRP (Loki'd, obviously) to format data, system, cache, and dalvik. Apparently, formatting also wiped my internal-sdcard, where the download was located... So now, I'm stucked with nothing to flash. I can access ODIN mode, but cannot find a stock image for the Verizon GS4. I downloaded the newest Hyperdrive onto my computer, but I cannot get adb to recognize the device. Also, TWRP is now telling me that my phone is not rooted.
Can someone please help? I need this phone working NOW.
Thanks again.

Okay, I used Odin to flash the VRUAMDK_NoWipe.tar.md5, PDA only. Odin says it succeeded and attempted to restart the phone. The phone is stuck on the SAMSUNG screen, with the Custom, unlocked icon below.
Any ideas?
I am now going to try flashing http://www.rwilco12.com/Files/Devic.../SCH-I545_MDK_562219_Stock_Restore.tar.md5.gz using Odin, referenced from this thread:

After you stuck on the Samsung boot screen, you could've tryed pulling the battery, and then manually go into recovery, and do a factory data reset. Maybe fix permissions, clear cache and davlick. Should boot then.

[Q] Bootloop after flashing any ROM

The other day, for reasons I'm not entirely clear on, after trying to reboot my phone, I found it unable to boot (just stuck at the last boot animation). I went ahead and decided to wipe and tried to flash a custom ROM (started with Beans, also tried Hyperdrive), but for both ROMs, I wind up in a bootloop after installation. Generally it will get to the very first screen, language selection, then simply reboot after a few seconds. This just happens continually. Only got things working again by using Odin to get back to the stock MDK release.
Trying to flash coming from build number JDQ39.1545VRUAMDK. Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks
Tried again with flashing a factory stock, rooted rom from recovery after full wipe/reset. It wouldn't boot. When I recover a backup I've previously made, it will boot up once just fine, then when I reboot, it just sits at the "Samsung" "Custom" screen with a lock on it.
Would really appreciate some help. Thanks
Same here, I tried to flash Illusion, and now my phone is stuck at the Samsung Custom lock screen...
make sure you are wiping everything (i do dalvik, data, system, cache, and factory reset) 3x for a complete clean install, then flash.

You might want to try cwm there has been a few posts with people and a similar situation. Twrp wipes differently then cwm and thats what causes it.

TWRP 2.5 works perfectly for me...
Solved! Went through another reinstall of hyperdrive, this time I only checked one or two options. Now I'm running smoothly with no issues.

Stuck on splash screen, but still have TWRP

I'm trying to clean up my S4 to sell, and so I wiped data/factory reset and did format data. I then reflashed HyperDriver 14 and now I get stuck at the Galaxy S4 splash screen. I do still have access to get into TWRP however. Is there something I can do from TWRP to fix this? I have tried to fix permissions and it says FAILED. Do I need to do an ODIN flash at this point? I don't know what baseband I have, but since I have TWRP that was functional does that imply that I have the MDK baseband?
Thanks for any help!

Try another factory data reset and wipe /cache and /dalvik. If that doesn't work I would double the check the md5 of the HD rom file to make sure it's not corrupted. If the file is still good then you need to reflash the rom but this time do a factory data reset, wipe /system, wipe /cache, wipe /dalvik, and then install the rom, and it SHOULD boot.

Yeah I tried that again and have done that a few times, still no luck. The MD5 checks out OK. I could try another ROM tomorrow.
I'm on TWRP 2.5.0.2, is there any benefit to upgrading to 2.6.x.x? Would that help me possibly?

[Q] I think I have two recoveries running parallel

So I had originally had TWRP/Hyperdrive on my phone, and switched to CWM/Cyanogenmod. I noticed now that I seem to have two different recoveries on my phone, because if I hold up+home+power I can go to a different version of CWM Recovery than if I use the Rom Manager app to boot into recovery. How would I rectify this? Would it involve wiping the /boot partition? I don't know where/how recoveries are stored so I don't understand how I can have two.
Doing a fresh install of a ROM has not resolved this by the way. And actually currently, I can't hold the buttons and boot into recovery at all, it gets stuck on the Samsung logo. I can only get into recovery via Rom Manager or Reboot options if I'm in android.

That's what I would have figured would fix it, because I'm pretty sure that's supposed to wipe /boot, but I found out I cannot flash kernels on my phone for some reason and when having to fix softbricks while experimenting with why it doesn't work and flashing different kernels, I had to do that whole process so many times I can go from softbrick back to where I'm at now in about 20 minutes.

So I flashed that one via Odin, followed the guide to root and everything step by step, and now that I'm back on stock kernel and want to install CWM Recovery, I downloaded Rom Manager and hit install recovery and it says everything worked but if I boot into recovery it's just the android stock recovery.
EDIT: Another thing I thought of. Could the fact that at one point I used this method to install CWM recovery on my phone have caused there to be two different recoveries running parallel?
http://galaxys4root.com/galaxy-s4-r...on-att-or-verizon-galaxy-s4-sgh-i337sch-i545/
UPDATE: Using this method I installed the latest version of CWM Recovery Touch but Rom Manager still thinks the normal version is installed, though now if I hit reboot to recovery from the app it actually takes me to the touch instead of a separate one. Is the app dumb or do I still have an issue? Also I cannot install kernels without tripping the count and having my phone tell me I need to go to a verizon store.

ROM manager may actually be the issue.
And as far as installing kennels I've never had an issue myself. The last link you posted is about flashing the md2 kernel in order to root the phone. Do you mean that?? Or installing say a KToonsez kernel after you're already rooted and have your custom recovery?

As in installing a KT kernel after rooting and having a custom recovery and ROM on my phone. Right now I have three 3/22 nightly cyanogen up and running but as soon as I install kt it trips the Verizon security and on have to flash back to stock kernel to use my phone. Booting into Odin and canceling out to restart does not let me get past the yellow triangle

Is my S5830i destined for the bin?

Ok to cut a long story short I've had to send my HTC One back off for repair so it will be away for a week or so, so I still have a GT-S5380i that I was given from my dad as a spare, thought what the hell last night and decided to flash a custom rom to make it at least a little bit better than it is as stock. So I spotted Touchwiz-Resurrected ROM and followed the guide on how to root and install clockwork mod, which was fine then flashed the rom, that seemed to go fine until I noticed no data or cellular connection and someone said I've probably lost my imei, checked that and he was correct the IMEI was blank, so basically thought what the hell flash back a stock rom using odin, did that and all seemed well, odin reported success and rebooted to be stuck at the Samsung splash screen and that's as far as I can get, I can get into download mode but no matter which version of odin I use or which stock rom I try and flash I cannot get past the splash screen despite odin saying it succeeded, I can also still get into cwm but that seems to take ages?? done full wipes reinstalls blah blah but cant get it to boot
So obviously somewhere along the line I've messed up but the fact I can get into download mode and cwm made me think I could somehow get it back?
Any ideas?

Tried that too which is why I'm confused
*edit*
Its back!!!!!!! I swear I tried that before but it worked, seems I needed to do the 3 file method using odin rather than the single file method..... or was it a different version of odin that did it??? either way its back

Try installing any custom rom from CWM. Make sure to do "Wipe data/ factory reset", "Wipe cache partitions", "Mounts & Storage> Format /system" and "Advanced> Wipe Dalvik Cache" from CWM before you install the custom rom. Here is the list of all custom roms for Galaxy Ace S5830i,
