obtained an s3 i9305 wit no screen or LCD was going to use it on TV but unfortunately i get as far as plugging in MHL cable and cant do anything was looking to enable Bluetooth so i can controll it with my BT mouse.
I dont think usb debugging is on but i have managed to root it with Odin, even to get androidscreencast so i can enable the Bluetooth would be great.
or can i do usb otg + MHL simultaneously?
Any help much appreciated.
What mhl cable are you using? Standard ones don't work, it needs to be s3 specific cable

You need a keyboard and mouse but you also need video out. You can't use both at once so you're pretty stuck

configuring everything on a different phone and restoring it to yours solves everything - set up a VNC server or something like that, FTP server, etc

Could someone tell me how to share my PC internet (to use internet pass-through) to my SGS 2 (CM9) via USB?

Won't work, get connectify and install on your computer/laptop, it should have wifi.
Connectify gives you multiple options to connect, avoid adhoc ones. Choose the last option.

You should be rooted and have iptables for it to work.. Maybe something is missing there? Try searching for how to reverse tether you will find many guides with manual steps to take (via shell), my advice would be to go through them and see what's not working for you there and that would probably be the case the app is failing.
Good luck!

I uninstalled the update. Went back to original settings. Re ask the same questions and got the same results. I checked Google now and it worked flawlessly from my exact location. You're also running an apk not made for your device. It may depend on other apps/resources that you don't have installed.

I think it would be prudent to have a specific subject related to Spotify for this. I feel that many apps use DPI as the indicator for tablet mode (ex. Gmail) so I'm not sure what Spotify is doing but I am also curious. I will check on my TF201 and report in.

My guess is that it looks at the build.prop, don't really want to mess with it, because I probably don't know what I'm doing.

Confirmed, just tried this before searching the forums (and ending up here haha),
I bricked my phone a little today editing build.prop. had to reflash. Lol.
I jst tried to change ro.product.model and ro.product.id, didnt work.
I'm using Paranoid Android on my Nexus4. I tried to us PA's Hybrid Settings to set the per app DPI for the Spotify app too 600p, which will force many apps to switch into the tablet layout. However, I did not have any luck getting Spotify to change into tablet mode. I also enabled the Force and Large toggles, which is necessary to force tablet mode for some apps, but didn't have any success with that either.
My best guess then is that Spotify determines what kind of device you have from the android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE, wich provides the device ID.
I have no clue about how these things work, but if the Spotify app is installed on a tablet, the read phone state permission, what happens with it?
LOL. goddaMNit, this thing is really annoying, and also, i have very nice playlists on Spotify so I don't mind the shuffeling But still, i'm kinda obsessing abot this thing.

Do you have a Samsung Gear? Will I be able to use this like the Gear in the future (I just want notifications and to respond to texts from the watch) is that possible I've downloaded the Master (phone) and Companion (Truesmart) apps and I don't get any notifications. I've searched this forum and Google plus for information and have not seen anything yet about it other than Kurt (who is a God for his work) supposed to have fixed it any help with this would be greatly appreciated

I've got remix running nicely on my i5/Nvidia 780 system. WiFi working now, only issue now os no sound. HDMI is connected to TV via Nvidia 780 card so I'm guessing the no sound issue is due to the card maybe?
