Guys can anyone suggest me a 4.2 rom which doesnot have the flickering and touch screen issues
I want to upgrade from 4.1.2..... i like the stock interface more....

Sorry bro, there isn't any rom for us as of yet.. But I think the SAM v4 is based on S4 clone and not Micromax so that should work in our phones.. I can't say for sure, but will surely try it. And ya its not like the stock one. You will have to wait for someone to upload one like that.

so almost all roms have the probability of getting the flicker issue...
and one more thing I am currently on stock 4.1.2...
can i just install [4.2.1] STARKHD v3.6 or [4.2.1] SAMHDv4 ROMs directly using CWM? or do i have to update to 4.2.1 then install??
sorry if u think this question is silly.....but i'm good at modding xperia devices....but this is kinda different
You can directly install them using cwm.. That's alright bro we all were in your situation once.. And i'll suggest you don't try to flash any custom roms that are based on the stock 4.2.1 given by Micromax. Cause for all of those we will get that flickering issue

stock based rom means ... u mean ... StarkHD,samHD all those????
Which means all of them are stock based right??
Only MIUI and CM(not released yet) are non stock based right.....
well that is how we categorize in sony forums

You can check on which base rom the custom rom is based.. I think the ones which have Micromax as their base roms will show flickering.. As I have flashed several times, I haven't tried them but I have heard they work great.. Stark hd is based on mmx while sam hd is not mmx based.. You can check out the base rom at the end of the thread details

Ok guys... After try n try n try all method to get Micromax A110 custom rom on Ninetology i9500 Stealth 2 now its working fine with replacing official mmx A110 boot.img in all custom rom..

yerp, i have installed every custom rom from micromax A110 and official rom ICS/JB it is working fine, but acceleration censor not working in custom JB. i've tried figure it out but still cant find how to solve it, for this time being i use manual rotate from play store apps. but others work fine as claim by dev.

Data Connection Problem
I'm not sure you all have the same problem... i can't connect to my data plan.. i tried replacing the modem.img with the Black Pearl 2 modem.img but it still doesn't work... any solution for this?

Thanks for the reply, I know that place and I have tried many different ROMs already, infact there are so many to leave anyone confused so I dropped this request to get benefited from others experience and try those ROMs someone might suggest. btw I did find one quite good ROM already MicroKat .

In terms of compatibility n stability stock itself is the best rom n wait for sometime ithink in next update micromax will give many feature of s4 like it did in canvas 4

Canvas 4 is great but it also has some compatibility issues in this rom I was not able to run street fighter 4 it gives force close error where as in stock rom in runs flawlessly n I think this might also happen with other apps

There is no "Best ROM" because everyone has a different opinion, and everyone has different things they want in a ROM. This is why we don't allow/care for best Rom threads. There already 3 in this Q&A section alone, and 2 were made in the last 24 hours. Plus it tends to lead to fighting and arguing over the silliest things in life-like phones.
Best thing to do is to read the threads of ROMs you are interested in, flash the ones that look good for you, and try them out and make your own decision about things.
(copy/pasting this closing message like a winzipper makes a ROM)
Or any other custom rom for a116.

Dude cyanogen is best ..for rooted device . we can over clock a116 and is best stable os if cyanogen ROM is developed for this device. No cyanogen ROM yet 4 a116. I have used many custom ROM .but I have heared tat cyanogen is best 1.

well the reason behind micromax devices not having CM roms is, the kernel sources for the MEDEIA TEK MTK processors which are used in our phone isnt available since neither micromax nor MTK is ready to make it public. With out these sources, you cant have overclocking and other CM features ..!!
SO wait for it..!!
Sony have relased some sources, there are devs already on this.
Pray to god that it comes soon..!!

If sources of CM is coming, thats great and welcome. But I think CM team still does not support Dual Sim. The source cannot help for dual sim phones based on MTK65XX. This is not unnecessarily being a begative remark but this is discussed many a times in at least dozens of times and places.
Still, may be someone proves me wrong, by making directly the first CM with dual sim for A116, I will appreciate him/her. Best of Luck :good: to all devs.
PS: If non-mtk chipset roms like Samsung can be ported for many Micromax models, then technically any rom can be ported. But still, the cm source will give single sim rom.
Some discussions read before in xda, but its almost a year before discussion. May be something new has come.
Even if You Get Source it Will be Very hard to Compile Bugless CM......
Faea Team Is Currently Working on it once they done then it can be ported to any mt6589 phone
