Only thing is reqied - my kernel.. and any stock based rom.. backup first
now try it on my mothers x10I hope phone runs smoother with your kernel and this tweak thanks for your work
you are a gret developer ..
EDIT: OMG this Tweak is Amazing
flash Ilusion X and Omnie engine and benchmark score increased from about 2400 to 2700 and now flashed this one too and benchmark score is now 3300 and my mothers phone is so much smoother i never experienced such smoothnes on this old phone really good thank you my mother would be surprised
It's not just the benchmark that increased. Combined with game mode on extreme or ultimate on feralab 27, nfs most wanted has never beem this smooth!
Thanks @FeraVolt! :thumbup::beer:

Thanks Ferat, you're the bomb!!!
Fix permissions.
Yesterday i did a fresh install to see what magic the latest is GB-kernel (10.1) can deliver.
Today i found this thread and off course installed this tweak. Durng install i got an error about setting permissions.
I ran it several times and everytime is resultedt in the error.
I solved it by 'Fixing permissions' in CWM.
After that the tweak installed perfectly.
Will run it for a while to see what it does....
Before i can run it, it needs to be charged... It's full with emptness (LOL)
[EDIT] It took 2 hours with the phone off to fully charge. Rebooting now. Letting it settle and let';s see....
First impression is good! I've got screen transistion set to very slow and the screen is very smooth!
Playing Flying Turtle is ok, but it isn't a heavy game.
@FeraVolt: I read the updater script and saw that it first deletes all egl files and then tries to set permissions.
Because i had the error in setting permissions, could it be that if i did a reboot the systenm would be unstable because of missing egl files?
Maybe something to look into and to add the fixing permissions (in the OP-instructions or in the script).

UltimateGeppie

Hello dev
Any possibility to make it work on doom ul BL?
I'm on donut HD 2.2.9 + doom kernel
Thanks in advance

Can't use your camera after flashing this? Don't worry, it's because of 01_qcomm_omx.cfg in system/etc. No need to remove it, you can use a third party camera app like Camera ZOOM FX. When you remove 01_qcomm_omx.cfg you will no longer be able to watch video's in 1280x720, not with HW / HW+ and not with SW decoder.

i played it but touch is tooo heavvvvyyyyyy , and i cant play it at all ...
its supposed to be compatible with x8 since it is found in market .. someone try it and see if it can be solved .. i'm using miniCM9 btw
First: CM9 is quite heavy in it's nature...
And second swap your SD Card
And use chainfire3D.
And use auto memory manager with "aggressive" setting.
I played it quite smooth.but I admit. Touch is a little heavy.but I'm on GB not ICS

The performance on stock kernel will never be good as compared to custom kernel.
And yes , you need to unlock your bootloader to swap.

Who says so? I am sorry but...
Swapping is NOT supported on stock kernel. You must install custom kernels which of course you must unlock your bootloader. It may show in Swapper you have successfully enabled it but there is no effect.

I had just found new Adreno libs in JBX ROM thread...
I thought that, if they are the latest release, they would work better than old ones. So I tried them with ICS ( Doomkernel and xDarkICS v.1 )
Result: More smoothness in the launcher, settings menu... Also tried them with Modern Combat 3... It runs more smoothly too!!! :victory::victory::victory:
Contras: Not found
EDIT: DONT FLASH THEM IF YOU ARE USING GINGERBREAD (2.3.X), IT WILL CAUSE LOWER PERFORMANCE!
With this new libraries device will have 30/40% increase of performance ( thanks for the info jgregoryj1 )
INSTRUCTIONS:
-Download new JB Adreno libs (attachment )
-Make nandroid backup
-Flash Adreno libs
*If they dont work advanced restore of /system in recovery
-Enjoy!

UPDATE: FLASH IT ONLY IF YOU ARE USING ICS. Using this with other android versions can bring lower performance( as with Gingerbread) or break video playback ( as with Jelly Bean or CM10)

makes everything run so slow the home launcher is running at almost half speed (maybe moreso)
So not recommended by me :silly:

The updated adreno drivers are only for ICS. Attempting to use on GB will cause all sorts of issues. Your performance will tie a signife drop if used on GB. Not only that if o remember qualcomm right they were saying upwards of 30-40% performance boost with these drivers on ICS. Wish they would work or could be modded to work for GB but it doesn't work that way... it would need complete rewrite

Works well on cm9, makes it way smoother.
Has anyone checked whether video playback/recording, camera, etc still work after flashing this?
EDIT:
Just tested and they all work fine. Definitely smoother too. Pretty much on par with Gingerbread.
Thanks mate, works well on aokplay
Sorry for my bad English. It's not my native language.
I installed this on Markphyton's ICS rom, and ran Nenamark 2 (graphics benchmark) before and after and the results were:
Before: about 25.6 fps
After: about 32.5 fps
This is awesome! Thanks!
Seems to work in CM9, i didnt notice any visible improvement with Turbo kernel and LuPuS UI, but benchmark scores are a tiny bit higher.
Strange that its not already in CM9.... guess they are just new.

On 2.3.7 I'm getting 13.3 fps on stock clock speeds.
And 16.1 fps when overclocked to 1.6ghz
Which is bizarre when you consider the fact that FPSe runs at full speed on Gingerbread, but doesn't on ICS even with a crazy overclock!
I've not tried an ICS ROM in a while, but if it's performance is starting to beat that of GB - It's kinda tempting to switch back!

Hey guys.
I am looking for a fast ROM witha fully working camera. Can you guys give me some advice?
I don´t care for sony apps like timescape, I think it slows the phone down.
Currently I am on Techdevil gaming ROM. But I am not a gamer, I just use it because it is fast.

Yes it is but not video recording which works never be fixed to tell you take truth(most likely) but the most stable and fast Rom is stock based donuthd. But dixperia is good too but choose one that fits you. I like both s-style and light because stock never boots on my phone and I'm not a premium so I don't have the gaming.

try thjap 18b... its the smoothest stock based rom. link can be found at thjaps blog. just google it
Thank you guys for your help. :good:
I am right now trying to install DiXperia 8 [Stable], but I have a problem. First I tried to install it with DoomKernel, but the ROM gets too slow. Then I tried to install it with the Kernel from the other versions of the ROM (Beutiful, S-Style and Fast), but when the phone boots the ROM every thing is in Landscape mode, and I can´t get it to portrait. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to use the phone's stock ROM, if yes how can I get it?
Thanks for your help again :good:

In my opinion, mcsquizzy98's aokp based hypersensation update 4 is the best. It's got Feravolt's FPS uncap (only works with Ferakernel v4 ) and is really fast, smooth and stable. On fxp cm9.1 and fera's ice v2 my phone keeps freezing and then reboots after 30 seconds. Haven't had that problem with hypersensation. If you do decide to install hypersensation, delete all except system_tweak script from the init.d folder, as the other scripts conflict and cause problems, such as lag in games.

Okay so i flashed almost all the ICS roms and it all lags on my X10. The speed is there but the animations lag. Like pulling down the notification bar , window animations , screen off animation. They all lag. Can some one tell me how to solve this? Is this a videolag problem or something? I really love the fastness of ICS roms. Im on FeraLab ICS v4 currently!
Hi bro,
first you may need to read this :
http://socialcompare.com/en/comparison/android-versions-comparison
ICS and JB required higher resource than GB,
so, we need to make its ALAP .
Probably you shoul try CM10 from Scrith for comparison.
FYI
but there was a review about this rom and everything went smoothly on the guys phone in the video!!

Really lot of options to make it smooth, such as tweaks, apps, cust your startup, etc.

Work
From what I can tell, none of the ICS ROMS are 100% stable yet. And to get them running smooth will still take a bit of work, tweakings bits and pieces here and there to iron out the kinks. GL

I have my x10 running faster than before on Scritches v3 rom with Amin kernel p6005, if you try it I flashed scritches camera fix as Amin kernel needs the patch. P.s. don't flash the aeros libs or it will lag on that rom and kernel.
I was previously on Zmod7ver3 which is one of the fastest gb roms I've come across. You'll lose cam tho.
