I know there is already a few threads with the newer HTC Driver 4.0.1.001_20121107
Im using Windows 8.1 RP and wansnt able to get my PC to load the driver by just executing the installer even if the drivers were already installed.
So I just extracted all the HTC drivers and made a zip for manual instal from Device manager.
Works for both 32 and 64bits

HTC Driver 64-bit vista

I'm trying to do the temp root for my Evo 3D on my 64-bit Vista machine but I'm having problem. USB Debugging is set on the 3D then I plugged it to my pc and my desktop run through it scanning for hardwares and installed the driver for it but it is not the correct driver because my computer doesn't see the 3D. I then manually update it to the 64-bit driver I've downloaded from http://androiddrivers.net/category/htc-android-drivers/ but it said my driver are updated and I can't install the driver I've downloaded. Please help. Thanks.
Install HTC sync. Then uninstall it

[Q] [Question] Fastboot drivers SK17i on Windows 8 Release preview?

I have recently installed Windows 8 Release preview and can't manage to install fastboot drivers. Tried already installing them from flashtool drivers folder but windows doesn't recognize them, also tried manually from device manager pointing at the extracted drivers from flashtool drivers setup (used universal extractor). Last i tried the inf file from SE bootloader unlocking page....no way....does anyone know how to do it? In HTC 3d they solved this with a modified fastboot driver for Windows 8. I really am beginning to like the interface of this new windows , don't want to switch back to 7.
EDIT: Found the solution . Just disabled the driver signature check in windows 8 .
how you have done it?
Fastboot drivers
just download rar file i have created from link above and extract it to your computer.connect your device to fastboot mode and when windows ask for drivers point the location to extracted fastboot folder.you must remember to point the location drivers folder and you exactly must point x64 folder or x86 folder(x64 for 64-bit os x84 for 32-bit os) otherwise windows will not find the drivers for you........(NOTE:do not point folders inside x86 or x64)...just try this,if this helpful don't forget to thanx.....
(dl.dropbox.com/u/82612571/fastboot.rar)i am new user because i cant put direct link.copy this to adress bar.

HTC Drivers on Windows 8

I have Windows 8 64bit and I'm having an issue installing the drivers for the DNA. It tells me that the driver installer is not supported for my operating system. Has anyone successfully installed it on a Windows 8 64bit machine?

I'm using Win8 x64. Only thing I installed was the driver portion of the HTC Thunderbolt installer and the android sdk. Already had them installed for my Thunderbolt. I have both usb storage and adb access on the DNA as well.

When you plug the DNA into your computer it will mount 2 partitions (disks). One will be called HTC Sync Manager where the drivers are located. I'm using the drivers from the Win7_64 folder. I installed them through device manager and all has been working fine under Windows 8 x64. If you have any trouble please pm me.

When your DNA is in USB debugging mode under dev options, it will show up as an unrecognized device in device manager when you plug it into your computer. From there you can proceed to install the drivers with the files I mention in my other post.
I am having the same issue. I opened up the virtual partition and loaded the drivers as you suggested. my DNA is listed in the dev man as MyHTC. I have usb access but no ADB. I am using the ADB from the AIO tool kit. Tried several diff USB ports and a diff cable but I don't think that's the issue. Also tried the adb from the sdk. still no dice...
I have Win8 x64 as well. After turning on USB debugging, find the device in Computer and run the sync manager. At least, I think that's what I did. I'll have to check in the morning.

Oppo R5 ADB driver issue

I can't install my ADB driver in a Windows 7 64bit machine. When i tried to install the driver from the phone, nothing happens after hitting install. When i checked the properties of the driver from the phone, it's on "Read Only". I tried to install drivers but i have no luck.My phone is not rooted since it's still in warranty. Any suggestions?
FYI: Main reason I'm trying to install it is because for the Frep application. I'm getting an error device not found when I'm trying to run the .bat file in Frep for windows.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
