how can i do that?
Easiest way is with a file explorer or running fix permissions in recovery.
If there are any libs that go along with the app be sure they get moved to system as well.

i fixed permissions with recovery and nothing. if they are missings lib, i ignore it, if you can tell me how check it, ty.
i am just installing the apk and converting in system app with titanium/rom toolbox.
Use a root file explorer and check data/app-lib for libs to go with that apk

and saw the video and he was working on the video maker app which looked awesome...
someone extract and paste it here pls and make it available for 10.1
this one is the 10.1 official video maker but it seems to be avaliable only for us rom , push it to system /app via esfile explorer .but first you need to be rooted and enable root explorer from settings

If it doesn't show then the copying prosess should be failed and you need to enable read/write from setting and make sure it got superuser permission. Are you sure you are rooted?

If it's a system application then you can find it if your device is rooted ..

Edward Cullen, no offense but that was a n00b statement. If he installed it by himself it cannot be a system application. Also, the file of any app (even user app) is available in /data/app
AND, rooted or not, the app Explorer by Speed Software allows you access to those system files. Only difference is that you cannot write, but you can find the file and COPY (not move) to /sdcard.

Yeah it needs
So I've extracted CM9's stock SMS app and it installs fine on MIUI, however when I reboot the SMS app is then replaced with MIUI's stock one. I've frozen MIUI's stock SMS app, and that works fine. But I can't install CM9's sms app without overwriting MIUI's one, and then obviously it'll be replaced by MIUI's one on the next reboot..
Is there a way to get around this? Or is there maybe a way to install both of them without one overwriting the other? Thank you!

Did you push it to system apps? You'll have to change the permissions to 644, but that should keep the app after a reboot.

I forgot what folder to go into, but I know it's somewhere in the data partition. I'll jump back on stock and try to find what file you need to delete to get it working.

I never used titanium backup, should work.
The way I do it is with a root browser (like Smanger or Rom toolbox lite)
I'll tell you how do it with smanger app
With smanger go to this folder
data/data/com.lge.lockscreensettings
Inside com.lge.lockscreensettings folder is two files
wallpaper.png (might be named something else) & wallpaper_land.png
Delete both of those png files.
Afterwards you will be able to pick a custom lock screen background.
Wooooow i am very grateful woow bro thanks!!!!

Hi,
Today I'm gonna tell you how to fix the Note 3 My Files not working on Note 2.
For the ones who flashed it and opened my files, most of them noticed there is no difference at all. But actually, thats because its not installes properly.
So today, I'll tell you how to get it working.
First, download this: https://db.tt/W7Pm3RMy
After you download it, go to system/app with a root explorer with right permissions, and delete the original note 2 my files, it should be called, SecMyFiles or somthing like that.
Next, push the New Note 3 my files to system/app. And delete the old SecMyFiles.odex.
Now reboot, Enjoy.
PLEASE Give Me A THANKS BUTTON if I Helped!!

You should have it under SecMyFiles.apk. . But I guess you're ROM is Deodexed so I don't think you have odex files.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yes it's a deodexed rom... will it still work? I followed your guide up until the deletion of the .odex file cos I dont have that file in my app folder. It crashes when I try to run it, with a single vibration followed by 3 successive vibrations....
