[Q] Need help! gt-p7500 - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello.
I installed the official firmware via Kies.
Thereafter, charging plate, nothing happens on the screen. The screen lights up, but no picture. After some time, heard a welcome sound. Then press the power button the screen and then re-enable the screen that would go to the unlock screen - that is, image appears on the screen and on the tablet works fine.
I tried to enter download mode. When you press the volume - and the power button the screen just lights up but no picture. Then that would go into a mode, you need to blindly press buttons as you remember. Download In the picture did not appear, and in the installation menu appears base with a choice of a full wipe, wipe cache, install from SDcard and from the cache, restart the device. But when set to SDcard tablet gives the inscription E: Unknown volume for path [/sdcard]
What happened to the screen and how is it treated? (the problem is not the hardware - the system works after download)

You went to the wrong mode lol...that was recovery mode. Download mode is the right one. Then, you connect to PC and reflash stock ICS via Odin and see if your problem goes away.
In case you don't know, go to www.sammobile.com and download your desired country's firmware.

[Q] 5830I cant get into download mode. pls help

HI there,
I can start my 5830I normally and everything works fine.
I can get to the recovery mode, by vol.+/home/pwr, and everything there works fine
When I vol.+/vol.-/pwr, I got a black screen (the backlight LED is on), and no download mode.
The vol.+/vol.-/pwr used to work and I had flahsed my 5830I a few times. Then I used CWM 5.0.2.6 to bakcup my phone and did one restore. Then I cant get into download mode anymore.
I could connect my phone to computer using SDK. I can use adb reboot recovery to reboot the phone to recovery
But if I use adb reboot bootloader, the phone just boots normally.
I fear that my bootloader has somehow damaged, either by CWM or by my last flash (using odin 1.83, I flashed also the bootloader file and with re-partation checked).
I wonder how I can fix this problem and get into the download mode. I can now use my phone normally and the current system seems to be quite fine. But I still want to have the chance to flash.
Thanks a lot!
Reboot bootloader does nothing because the phone doesn't have an accessible bootloader
This was sent from a Galaxy Ace. Problem?

Try Power+Home in case you flashed S5830's CWM recovery.

I didn't flash any recovery. I just restored my own back up using CWM.
"CWM 5.0.2.6 "
Maybe you used wrong CWM not for yours S5830i but for S5830 D/B etc
Use only this CWM ClockWorkRec5830i.zip

[Q] Soft bricked i777

Hey guys, I really need help with my situation. I've been looking all over the forums for 2days straight trying to find solutions to my problem. I have a galaxy s2 i777 and I had the sho-stock3 rom. Then I decided that I wanted to back up my rom, so I used rom manager to do it. that's when the problem started. when the phone tried restarting it was stuck where it says "galaxy s2" with the yellow triangle. I put it into download mode and tried to flash siyah kernel..it worked..but when I tried to reboot my phones says "firmware upgrade encountered an issue, please select recovery mode in kies and try again. of course kies wont let the phone connect. and yes all the drives are installed for my phone. now i'm just stuck trying to flash stock firmwares for the phone and the stock rom but it always fails in odin. please help me!!!!!

Can you put the phone into download mode? I would assume the answer is yes if you still get the "connect to kies" message. Following are detailed instructions for getting into download mode.
Download Mode:
There are several ways to put the phone into download mode. You should try all of them that you can before you give up.
Recovery mode:
With the phone off (and not connected to the computer), and battery installed, hold all three buttons, vol- vol+ pwr continuously until the initial boot screen appears the second time.
Download mode:
1. With the phone off and connected to the computer via USB cable, and battery installed, hold all three buttons, vol- vol+ pwr.
2. With the phone off and battery installed, hold vol- and vol+ (but not pwr) while plugging in the USB cable.
3. With the phone off and battery installed, hold vol- (but not vol+ or pwr) while plugging in the USB cable.
4. Attempt each of the above three options with the battery removed from the phone. The computer will supply the power to the phone.
5. Use Android Debug Bridge (adb) which will only work if USB debugging has been already turned on in Developer Options, since you can't boot into the system to turn it on. With the battery installed and the phone connected to the pc via USB cable, use the command "adb reboot download".
6. Use a USB jig. With the battery installed insert the USB jig into the USB connector of the phone. Some have reported that this method works when no other method would work.
If the phone will go into download mode, you will need to use Odin desktop to flash the stock firmware. You should use the latest stock firmware. Go to the Download Repository and download Odin3 v1.85 from the link near the top of the page, and also download the latest stock firmware, "I777UCMD8 Stock Binaries (Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean)" from near the bottom of the page. It's the next to last item. Download both to your Windows pc, and then follow the detailed instructions below to flash it onto your phone.
How to use stand-alone Odin3 to flash firmware:
Follow and recheck each of the following steps. Do them in order listed, as some steps are dependent on previous steps. Instructions are for Odin3 v1.85. It should work with any version of Odin, but some details, like color of items, may be different.
1.) Open Odin on the Windows Desktop.
2.) Have the USB cable plugged into USB port on the computer, but *Not* plugged in to the phone.
3.) Shut the phone off.
4.) While holding down the vol+ & vol- keys, plug micro-usb plug into phone.
5.) In Odin, you should get the yellow box under where it says ID:COM with the text 0:[COMx], and in the Message area, <ID:0/00x> Added!! where x is some number, usually 1-8.
6.) In Odin, make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are checked and all other items are not checked.
7.) Click on the PDA button. Browse to the tar file you want to install and select it so its path appears in the text edit box next to the button.
8.) Make sure the check box next to the PDA button is checked.
9.) Click the Start button.
10.) You should see the green progress bar advancing.
11.) When complete, you will get a PASS (or FAIL if unsuccessful).
The phone should boot up normally. If it does not, enter recovery (see instructions in the download mode section) and perform a wipe data/factory reset.

Can't get into download mode or recovery mode

I recently bought a rooted Galaxy S3 from a friend. The problem is I can't get into download mode or CWM recovery.
I tried installing CWM recovery using ROM manager (v5) but I got an error saying: "GT-9300 does not have an officiall supported CWM recovery yet.
The phone is on android version 4.1.1 at this moment.
Could you help me installing recovery?

No download mode then you have a faulty phone and require a service centre repair .
jje
You could try a usb jig to force into download mode. They're a couple of dollars / pounds whatever.
There's also a thread in general to find who could lend you one nearby

That seems a smart question I'm new to Samsung.
Download: Volume down, power on button and front button (home button) pushed in at the same time whilst the device is off to get into download. Result: I see the screen go on (screen is black but there's backlight) and after a couple of seconds it just boots the normal android system.
Recovery is volume up, power and home at the same time when the device is turned off. Same here, I see a response e.g. the backlight goes on but after a few seconds the phone boots up normally.
The booting proces takes longer than it normally does when just turning the device on. I think the software installed is causing this (the hardware seems to respond but it's like the software just ignores the input)

I'll keep my hands of the adb thing. I don't want to make my problem worse
In my country no one seems to know such a usb jig but I already found a place where I can order them
I just have to stick the thing in and wait for it to engage download mode before I plug in my normal data cable right?
Thanks for the help
So I believe. I've not used one myself

You can the following procedure, as described in many threads around here. You just need to do the following steps:
1: download stock firmware (you can find it at http://sammobile.com)
2: download Odin (i recommend v3.07, you can find with a search)
3: install usb drivers for your device
4: put your device in download mode (remove your battery and put back on the phone; after this power it up with power button + home button + volume DOWN; when your device vibrate, release the power button but keep the another 2 pressed)
5: confirm the warning on screen with volume UP
6: open Odin, click in PDA and select the downloaded firmware (you may need to unpack it first, because Odin expects a .tar or a .tar.md5 file)
7: plug your device in your computer; Odin must recognize your phone (a blue field will appear on screen)
8: uncheck only the auto-reboot and leave the another boxes as it is
9: click on start button and wait... it will take around 15 minutes
10: when "reset" appears on the screen, disconnect your device, remove the battery and put it again; after this, power up your phone normally and wait the boot. It should work as expected now.

Umm, I would rather take it to the service centre.
If you're not sure what's wrong and if you don't mess around with your phone, that's the only way you got.

You screen was black even in download mode?
If not, you could try to flash CWM and do a factory reset in your device, and reflash the rom. But I think it's better to take your device to an authorized service center.

i managed to flash stock rom via odin (without seeing anything) and problem still occurs.. my wife brought it to service center and was told that the problem seems to be on the screen itself *hope its not* we'll call them after 3 days to know the real problem..
i hope its just a wiring problem, because if the problem is the screen, that means a lot of money ~
thanks to all!

TUTORIAL STARTS HERE*
1. Enter Download mode by holding both volume rockers and inserting a USB cable while still holding
2. Get to the screen that asks you if continue with Download Mode or not.
3. Remove USB cable and click the 2nd option.
4. Phone will restart and that's how you turn on a phone with no power button.*
Is this how you get into download mode? Anyway that's how you may be able to boot too.
Well and if you can't boot cause of softbrick you simply should flash another rom via Odin. Once there you can access recovery with restart tile in many actual roms I think. Otherwise you can use rom manager to boot into recovery or other apps. There are many possibilities.
