ive recently flashed to CM 10.1 which is running android 4.2.2.
id like to get some stock s3 apps like internet, video player gallery and contacts back but i cant figure out a way to do that.
there was a thread on the-area51.com(cant give the link as im a new user) named "samsung galaxy s3 jellybean stock apk's download " about this
but it doesnt work as its made only for 4.1.2 any help or suggestions please ?

You can't use the stock apps because they require samsung framework which is only in stock roms. If you want stock apps,.you.must use a stock rom.

Curious if there were any devs out there that could port ROM with TouchWiz 4.0. The Galaxy doesnt seem to have a problem running the latest Touchwiz, why not ours?
If not then is it possible to use the Touchwiz widgets (if i can find them) on the Galaxy Player 5.0?

One of the ROMs for the 5.0 either has it or had it. I've had TW4.0 running on my player before. I think it might have been Meticulous' ROM that had it but he deleted it.
Anyone have a copy of Meticulus's ROM I can download? I can't find it anywhere because it was deleted off XDA. I really want TW4.0 on my Galaxy Player.

Are you referring to version 2.0? If so, I cannot because its not compatible with the USA version.
I've tried his latest version but I didn't really like the launcher so I reverted back to stock.
i meant the 3.0 which is compatible with your device then wait for CM7 or CM9
At least TW4.5 & TW3.0 both work well on 4.0 while sometimes 4.5 causes FC...
I am new to the world of Samsung (previously a HTC Developer), I would like to flash a Stock Jelly Bean rom to my Galaxy S3.
I understand that software is required with Samsung's and you cannot use Clockword Mod recoveries to erase and flash roms etc..
Could someone tell me if there are any stock jelly beans out there? I am referring to ones without Touchwiz and S Junk - just generic Google stuff.

Clockwork recovery works just fine with Samsungs, flash cf-root to root and get cwm recovery.
Then check out supernexus ROM, cm10 or liquid smooth jelly bean ROM.
If you want to try out a leaked touchwiz jelly bean ROM there are loads of leaks.

Thanks man, btw is there anyway to have Google Chrome as your default browser rather than 'Internet'. I mean like - no internet there at all.
Get a root explorer and go to /system/app and delete secBrowser.apk
That'll get rid of it.

Hi. I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Mega i9152. Are there any custom ROMs like cyanogenmod out there for this phone? I cant seem to find any. If anyone knows please share the link and the procedure for installation. really appreciate it. If there aren't any then will cyanogenmod 10.1 work for this phone (using twrp that is)?

There is no custom rom yet for our i9152. The closest to a custom rom is cokelat which is more of a modification like deodexed and zipaligned.

I rooted my I9152 just for the custom roms. actually i am new to rooting and stuffs and now I realized that my phone has no custom roms available -_-
You can backup your apps using titanium backup, transfer application data to sd card using gl to sd, make a nandroid backup clone of your whole phone, view system app using root explorer all you can do when rooted.

It is, you need just to install a stock based rom, like ArchiDroid, Neatrom etc

Have you tried installing old apk versions online and even current ones or have you just tried from the google play store? I am 100% certain it is possible to get whatsapp on a galaxy ace because mine came with it on unrooted and completely stock ROM.
