20d to 20f - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

I have a rooted and unlocked T Mobile P769. I got the following update message:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I installed OTA RootKeeper as per the instructions below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2371529
Then I went ahead and accepted the update. The phone rebooted, started the install (android icon with spinning blue energy orb) and then half way through changed to a dead android (android on his back with red warning triangle above it)
I restarted and checked the SW version - it is still 20d. When I check for updates it says my phone is up to date.
Does this mean I have blocked OTA updates permanently?

No, it means that you modified the system in a way that the update could not follow. Be sure to uninstall link2sd, busybox, overclock, or anything that modified the build.prop. super user or voodoo ota will not affect the update.
EDIT:
Make sure you restore before you uninstall. The ota will come again but you have to wait for it. Good luck

[Q] Stop JB Update Prompt?

The JB OTA downloaded, I deleted it, and it downloaded again. Tried FOTAKILL and that didn't work. I don't want to install update, is there any way to stop the update prompt from popping up?
freeze the FOTA and update services with chefs freezer, dont delete it, you might need them later... there is a list for the safe apps to freeze in android development section.
Are u talking about this:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
What if I want to install it? I tried doing it yesterday but this is what it ended up as:
I quickly hard-reebooted it and then I had constant reboots and boot loops.
What should I do? I had flashed the JB "official" leak...
My specs:
Thanks!

Yep, that's the prompt. Freezing FOTA and Updates with Root Tools seems to have worked, now when I go to settings and look for updates it starts to check for updates then stops. We'll see if the prompt shows up in 12hrs, fingers crossed.
.
No problem dude

Oh cool...wondering what happens if we install the update.

I still can't get Titanium Backup to work

I've been trying since October 5, the day after picking up my GN3. After flashing CF-AutoRoot the first thing I did was install TB. Upon opening the app I got the usual prompt from Superuser asking for root access. I granted it but instead of getting root I see:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I've heard of others having problems with restored apps from TB but I can't even get that point because I can't open the program.
Is there a solution?

looking for a no nonsense root for SGH-1527 4.2.2 l527UCUAMK2

When I bought my phone (SAMSUNG-SGH-l527★Android version: 4.2.2) they said it would be rooted. They used
Kingo SuperUser Version : 2.1.6.8 to root it. It worked fine for about a year. I did a factory reset and now some charging page screen pops up when I charge it.

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This page screen is extremely annoying. It blocks me from shaking my alarm clock off in the morning.
There is a little gear in the top right corner but the charging screen, when it is clicked the screen goes blank.
How do I get rid of the charging screen?
I would rather just obtain root use ChainsDD Super User.
How do I get rid of Kingo SuperUser Version : 2.1.6.8 and reroot with something less intrusive.
all the articles I find talk about flashing rom or using King root which Id rather not do
hmmm no response so how about kingroot is it any better than Kingo SuperUser Version : 2.1.6.8
kingroot also installs it's own bloatware = Purify

Replacement M9 Phone should I try and update or root first

My original M9 battery is not holding a charge after about 3 years of faithful service. I was able to pickup a new M9 and would like to root it. It is a AT&T phone and my current provider is AT&T.
How should I go about rooting this phone should I put it on my AT&T account and then root after it gets an update or should I try and root it first ?
I am happy with stock but I do like Viper Rom (but worried that there might not be much more development in terms of custom roms for the M9)
Thanks for any help or guides you can point me to

How do I deroot my v30 and upgrade to official Pie firmware?

I rooted my V30 awhile back on Nougat, and now I want to restore to official firmware and relock the bootloader using these instructions:
Guide: How to upgrade/downgrade/restore official firmware on your V30.Is it possible? I found the new patched version of LGUP for Pie from another thread, but when I try to flash an official Pie kdz using "upgrade" it is giving me an error something along the lines of "0x4 cannot cross flash model h932 to h932" for some reason. I will pull up a picture in a little. Any idea why I can't do it this way, do I have to use partition-DL and overwrite? Is there any way I can do this without losing my user data?
I originally rooted my phone using the instructions here:
[ROOT] H932 - lafploit 1.5 up to v20a
WARNING DO NOT LET YOUR PHONE REBOOT, OR POWER OFF UNTIL I TELL YOU THAT IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO. If you do, I am not sure what shape your phone will be in. This should go without saying, but you MUST have your bootloader unlocked...
