[Q] [HELP!] AT&T i777 does not recognize SD cards - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

My at&t model GS2 (i777) is not recognizing SD cards, except for the very fishy one with NO brandname on it, but it's only 512mb capacity. All the other cards (1G, 2G and 8G all Kingston) cannot be read at all. I tried connecting with PC, as well as formatting them FAT32, still no luck, the mount options are grey. I tried upgrade from 4.0.x to the newest official 4.1.2 JB and problem remains.
Please if anyone has an idea, I'd be thankful to hear.

Try using this program. I had to use it for my i777 to recognize my 64gb card.

thank you! i formatted the cards again and now the 512mb brandless and the 1g Kingston both work on phone, and it turns out my PC also only reads these two cards with adapter.
I guess card does matter so i'm buying a new one to try my luck.

Can you give us the link for it I could have sworn 32gb was the largest micro sd made.
I know Kingmax claimed to make one back in May but didn't know it was released yet.
Is the Evo3d capable of handling 64? Thought it maxed at 32?
Edit: It is only expandable to 32gb

I think they put that because at the time 32 is the max available. I remember hearing someone say they had an older phone that was released when 16gb cards were the max and the specs said the max was 16gb but then a 32gb chip worked fine in their phone when they came to market.

I have a 64gb swapped in my n2 & n10.1. Only problem is I need more room.
Also certain kernels require certain formats. That's about the only issue I've seen....

Funny. So no issues? How long and how many apps do you have running on it? Sorry I just don't feel like wasting money to once again have it crap out after a month.

[Q] micro sd card ultra for 4.2 player

Ok so I plan on upgrading my sgp's micro sd card to 32 gigs. Specifically the 32 gb class 10 sandisk ultra micro sd card. My question is, are the galaxy players compatible with the newer version "ultra" micro sd card?

That's the micro SD card I'm currently using and it works flawlessly. Plus the read and write speeds are pretty fast.

You can buy a 64 gb card and it works flawlessly. There's a thread on that.

Sd card problems

Does anyone have any problems with their sd card not registering? I recently bought a PNY 32 gb class 10 sd card and my phone will not recognize that there is one inserted. I was just wondering if anyone else have had the same problem and what did you do to fix. I have tried to reformatting it and still nothing. Some times it will read it but most time it will not

Try cleaning the contacts of the new sd card with a Q-tip and alcohol. I had a new sd card that was having trouble being read so I cleaned it and never had problems again!
Hope this helps.
Thanks definitely gonna try that when I get home

What are you formatting the card with? Fat32?
I tried formating it through my phone when it let me and also done it on my computer
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk
Sorry but I gotta ask what's a fat32?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
Fat32 is the format type of the sd card. Ntfs is the other common one.
How do I find out which one and is it only on the computer?
