[Q] AVRCP Support - AT&T LG Optimus G

Is there any rom for the Optimus G that has AVRCP support or anyway to get titles to show up over bluetooth?

Builds based on LG's ICS/JB should have AVRCP support, but keep in mind that the device you're streaming to may not. Because of the new Bluetooth stack in 4.2, AOSP based ROMS (e.g. CyanogenMod, AOKP, RootBox, PA, BeanStalk) will not have AVRCP support.

Guess that would be why I have never had it working. I went right to AOSP based ROMs as soon as I got my phone. Might have to try out a stock based ROM. Thank you for the replay.

[Compatibility List] Bluetooth HID/IME for Fascinate.

Update: I am now going to be updating this thread with Roms that work with the WiiMoteController app and other HID support. If you have any extra info, please either post or PM me.
It seems that these are mostly roms built from the ground up, ones with 99% of the samsung crap removed. Here's to hoping for a nice BT stack!

I was wondering with EB01, whether HID input was supported. I really want to use a bluetooth controller with my phone
Anyone know of a way to get it working?
I noticed that I was able to connect to other phones using bluetooth after EB01, maybe it'll work with a controller too.
no, HID doesn't work yet. Regular android doesn't support it, but CM6 and CM7 do, so once kaos gets his builds working with bluetooth, we'll finally have or HID support.
wrong forum btw
my droid x would pair with a wii remote stock
I had a thought, the Galaxy Tab has Bluetooth HID support on it. Can that be ported to our Fascinate?
Bump for great justice, anyone with a clue feel like looking into this?
There's not much to do beside wait for punkkaos unless you want to help him port CM7. I've been wanting this too, so maybe if I ever get some time I might play around with the cyanogenmod source. But I have no experience writing operating systems so don't expect anything from me.
I have successfully paired and used my wiimote with my fascinate on jt's aosp using the WiiMoteController app in the market eventhough the post says bluetooth is borked. So idk what's up with that.

paired but does it connect?
I've paired my BT HID keyboard with most ROMS I've tried, but i have never connected, and never been able to use it yet. Punk Kaos is the only one i know who is working on a solution.
I will have to try pairing my wii remote than, I'll let you know results.
Update : Didn't work on JT's Superclean EB01.
I have a Wiimote working on jamezelle's MIUI, so I guess that means it works.

Oh nice! I didn't realize wiimote works on AOSP but I guess the main thing that's broken for that is bluetooth headsets? Now I need to find my bluetooth keyboard and maybe get another wiimote just for gaming. Kind of glad the bluetooth game gripper flopped, I can just get another wiimote although the PS3 controller would imo be better for emulators.
I didn't think of that, I'm going to look for an app for it

For me it won't even turn on bluetooth on vanilla aosp 0.8.1. Did you just enable it in settings?
@newtype: superclean is not an aosp rom so it still has Samsung's bluetooth stack, meaning it won't work.
i have the apple wireless keyboard working on jamzelle's MIUI v4 rom!

[Q] Implementing Bluetooth AVRCP profile to stock ROM

First, you probably want to know, what is AVRCP.
AVRCP stands for Audio-Video Remote Control Profile. It transfer data over Bluetooth to the paired device.
Via that profile, for example, music metadata(title, artist) is sent to the Bluetooth device.
On CyanogenMod 7.2 ROM, on my LWW, I was able to see the music title on my Bluetooth headset(SE MW600). However, stock ROM has no support for it.
Is anyone familiar with these profiles and how can these be implemented to stock GB 2.3.4 ROM?

[Q] AVRCP 1.3 can be implemented on stock based rom?

Hi all,
I would like to use AVRCP 1.3 bluetooth profile to send track information to my car receiver. As for now, the stock ICS roms only implement the AVRCP 1.0 profile in the bluetooth stack which doesn't include track information.
I've read that CM9 has implemented this profile into the ROM. I'm now using a stock based rom (jellysandwich 6.2.5) and I would like to know if it's possible to implement the avrcp 1.3 protocol into that rom.
Does anyone know this?
Thnx!
avrcp 1.3 found in android 4.3
Also found it in Samsung roms

I've made the same question time ago.. but got no response.

I've been making tests and I managed to have AVRCP 1.3 protocol into a modified stock rom (Gin2Jellybean), you can check the version of AVRCP in the console. But it seems that there must be tweaked something more because I can see AVRCP 1.3 but the apps cannot send any track information (I'm using PowerAMP which supports it). It seems that nobody here is able to achieve this..
Greetings.

[Q] Is there any ROM where HDMI OUT _and_ Bluetooth API works?

Hi,
I'm looking for a ROM that supports both HDMI OUT and Bluetooth API (WiiMote, SixAxis Controller).
As far as my research and experience goes HDMI OUT only works on Sense-based ROMs, while Bluetooth API only works on CM-based ROMs.
Since I got a Nexus 4 I want to use my Evo as an arcade gaming console and for that I need both working.

Hmm,
I don't know of any ROMs that are AOSP that work with HDMI out, but you can try KingCobra's ROM.
It's Sense, but when flashing it, you can select to have AOSP features..
That's all I can think of at the moment.
BUMP
I have been looking for these two features since I purchased this phone. Right now it seems I can have HDMI with a sense rom or a working Bluetooth API with a AOSP rom, not both. Thanks in advance.

Current State of Bluetooth: 5.x.x and 6.x.x ROMs

How are Android L and M ROMs handling Bluetooth connectivity, both for audio and talk?
I'm wondering specifically about CM12, CM12.1, and CM13 based ROMs vs AOSP, AOKP-based ROMs.
What are Verizon S4 users' best choices for stable Bluetooth 2 & 3 performance on Android L and M?
I'm using OctOS, specifically OCT-L-M6-FINAL-5.1.1-20151229, and Bluetooth more or less works but I have run into a few Bluetooth Share FC's over the few days I've been testing it so far.
