[Q] i9100 can connect to Tmobile but not to ATT - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
After one week looking for a solution, and before posting here asking for help, I'm completely lost. This is what happened:
Last week I got a new unlocked Galaxy S2 i9100 with Gingerbread 2.3.5 installed. I took the phone from the box, connected the Wi-Fi and updated to Jellybean 4.1.2. After that, I could connect to the Tmobile (Lycamobile) network but not to the AT&T network (H2o)…the one I need to use, so, after trying a few combinations. Root, unroot, etc., I'm back to the original configuration without being able to connect to AT&T:
PDA: I9100XXKI3
PHONE: I9100XXKI3
CSC: I9100OXAKI3
Kernel 2.6.35.7-I9100XXKI3-CL577579
Sales Code: ITV (I also tried XEU, XEO, and KOR with the same result)
Any help will be really appreciated!

[Q] CSC issue after ROM upgrade

Hi,
I'm new to Android and Galaxy S2. My phone was purchased in Spain from Vodafone.
I have just upgraded my ROM as per Intratech's guide (thanks by the way for the nice gude). The upgrade went good but after upgrae Kies shows the old CSC and says it can't update. Is this expected? I thought the CSC was supposed to change to the generic one.
I used ROM XWKE7 from the guide. After upgrade I get the following:
Doing *#1234#, I get:
PDA: I9100XWKE7
PHONE: I9100XXKE4
CSC: I9100XEUKD1
Doing *#272*<your IMEI>#, I get
ATL
In Kies it shows:
PDA: KE7 / PHONE: KE4 / CSC:KD1(ATL)
- Can someone please clarify?
- I'd also like to know if after this I still have to do something else to unlock the phone to use with a different provider.
- I was hoping to leave the phone as unbranded so future updates will be picked up through Kies.
Thanks in advance for your help.

[Q] Question regarding network and hardware problem.

Hi im from Ireland and i recently bought an unlocked samsung galaxy s2. My network provider is Meteor but the phone has inbuilt vodafone hardware on it and sometimes when i connect to the internet it still thinks im a vodafone customer. I brought the phone to a meteor store and asked was there anyway to correct the problem and they said it was a hardware problem and that i had to change the hardware and that they couldnt do anything for me but recommended this site. So if anybody could help me with this problem it would be very much appreciated.
Read and understand what you are doing before flashing.
flash this to your phone it will give you meteor settings it is stock firmware.

Need help correcting CSC & Firmware

You can skip to *** if you want.
Background
Back in June/July when I was attending my friend's wedding in the states I bought a GT-i9100 off eBay while I was there (I live in the UK). Came with Gingerbread installed at 2.3.4. I knew there was a 2.3.5 available and possibly even ICS so I tried an OTA update. ~EDIT: I just remembered the other reason I wanted to update was that the screen had a yellow tinge and other some users were saying updating the phone fixed that for them.~ Nothing. Looked around the web, found out you need to do it via KIES and that there was indeed an ICS update for the GS2. Phone wouldn't connect to KIES so I did some more looking around in case there was a known problem but I also came to the realisation that my phone might be from a region where it wasn't released.
It turned out to have originally been bought in Hong Kong (the previous owner left some family photos and company documents on it too). I should have realised sooner when the phone had chinese as a secondary keyboard language. I identified the CSC as ZSKI3 and lo and behold Hong Kong wasn't getting ICS for the GS2.
Did some poking around and got confused by the conflicting or rather inconsistency between guides to change the CSC. Somehow followed followed one guide and put on XWLP7 (I believe this is open Europe. But I think I only flashed the ROM (PDA). I ended up with ICS but there have been minor niggles whilst using it which I think might be caused by something being mismatched between the firmware, kernal and rom.
***
Problem
I believe I'm suffering some problems with my GS2 because I flashed just the PDA to ICS and now there might be some conflicts going on between it and the firmware/kernal.
I would like to correct the CSC, ROM, firmware and kernal to open Europe or some other open CSC which you believe to be better.
I understand that I got myself into this mess and don't expect you to take the time to give detailed instructions.
Current versions
Code:
Model: GT-i9100

Serial number: This is unknown in the settings. Did I do this?
Android version: 4.0.3
Baseband version: I9100XXLPS
Kernal version: 3.0.15-I9100XWLP7-CL340913

Ok, i did very much the same thing as you. Ok probably no. I brought mine oversea not ebay. However i live in Australia. But the phone was stock from asia. I wanted try flash and play with different roms. Blah blah.
What you need to do is have a data cable like one you were trying to use with Kies. Now you need to see if you can get into odin mode ( from an off phone position, hold down vol down + home key while turning on the phone.) This feature as far as i know is for all android phones. And is one feature you cant break, flash or change. ( note, if ya cant get to odin mode, you have yourself a brick, screwed or stuffed or wat word deem appropriate? )
If all above is working. Goto http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3 somewhere in the mid of that page is some field you need to put in. Pick your phone model, and the country you are in or want the phone to set in. Down load the file. And follow the odin guide which i am not typing out. You can google it with full pictures And video eye candy.
Good luck.

[Q] [SWH-M250S] Loss of network after 5-10 minutes of flashing any firmware

Hello Guys,
I have ended in to to a very strange problem.
I got my Samsung galaxy s2 from a Hong Kong seller on Ebay with model GT-I9100. On the back sticker and the box.
I upgraded to Leaked version of 4.1.2
Android Version: 4.1.2 - JZO54K (Jelly Bean)
PDA: I9100XXLSJ
CSC: I9100OXXLS1
MODEM: I9100XXLS6
Changelist: 462349
Build Date: 6th November 2012
After 3 months of usage, one day morning. I lose all my network which never came back and *#06# giving null/null. Also unknown baseband.
Tried out several stock roms which would get the signal for few minutes and then die out. Will get the IMEI until I restart, after which it gives unknown.
I came to know recently that my phone is a SHW-M250S converted to I9100 when it was shipped. The IMEI check showed me that it was produced by SKT with model number SHW-M250S. I don't know what firmware version it was shipped to me.
I tried out the M250S_HOME_M250S.UG26.1655_CL906886_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5 from for korean M250S with korean PIT file and phone works with NFC and TV tuner. Still after few minutes, network dies out and never comes back. Sim card not recognized then and unknown baseband, IMEI.
Tried with the latest stock rom for GT I9100 with I9100 PIT file I9100XWLSN_I9100OXXLS8_NEE but same result.
I rooted my phone and had back up of my efs. I do not know whether that was modified before shipping me.
Please let me know if any one has faced this kind of a problem and/or solution for this.
Thanks in advance.

[Help] Identifying correct stock firmware for I9300T

Hi everyone,
I'm in a conundrum. I've gone and soft-bricked my Samsung G3 I9300T and my attempts to flash it with various stock firmware have fallen flat. Can anyone offer me help or direct me to a thread (for dummies) for identifying which firmware would be suitable for my I9300 as I'm led to believe there are differences eg. ZSALED (Hong Kong) vs UBALE6 (Brazil).
Phone details:
Model: GT-I9300T
I've seen other threads posting AP, CP & CSC but I'm not sure how to obtain these details
I'm sorry for being ignorant. But many thanks for your time.
History of phone:
I purchased it off kogan a few years ago.
This is my first time rooting and flashing my S3 and everything's gone horribly wrong.
When I try to put it into recovery mode it will 'cycle' the Samsung Galaxy SIII title page but never reach recovery mode
I can put the phone into Download mode.
I've attempted to flash the phone with these firmwares:
-GT-I9300_TGY_I9300ZSALED_I9300OZSALED_I9300XXLEF.tar. md5
-CheckROM_V4_LG8.tar.md5 (from a thread: PM me if you'd like to know it)
-I9300XXUGMK6_I9300OXAGMK6_I9300XXUGMK6_HOME.tar.md 5
(I use Odin3 v3.04-3.09 to flash these but everytime I run into a Fail)
Hi,
Could someone direct me to a thread that'll teach me the notation of firmware. B/c I still don't understand: the meaning of the designations for PDA & CSC.
Example
Model: GT-I9300
Country: United Kingdom
Version: Android 4.3
Changelist: 2168382
Build date: Thu, 28 Nov 2013 12:07:41 +0000
Product Code: BTU
PDA: I9300XXUGMK6 (What does XX, UGMK6 mean?)
CSC: I9300OXAGMK6 (similarly, what does OX, AGMK6 refer to?)
MODEM: I9300XXUGMK6
And what's the difference between Samsung Galaxy SIII International (firmware) I9300XXEMC2 & I9300XXUGNB4? (XX means Australia, but what do EMC2 or UGNB4 mean?
Again I apologise if I irritate some of you. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Kinetik

Thanks for the reply, Darke. Would this NZ firmware still be compatible for a handset in Australia, Sydney? I'll give it a try anyway
