Is it possible to change the colour of the keyboard backlight and capacitive buttons back lights?
They are white but I would like to change them to blue, can this be done?

Wondering if there is a mod to activate the backlight on softkeys when the screen is on and not have them dependent on the light sensor. Its seems as though it needs to be pitch black for the keys to illuminate. This isn't very helpful in low light situations. Mainly asthetics, but it'd be helpful as well.

I'd like this as well, or at least an adjustment to light-sensor.
Bump, maybe there's a dev that can tackle this.

button lights useless
The lights are useless unless you are in the dark. Anyone know a fix?
Use screen filter from market it disables it and also it reduce more the brightness of your screen more then you can do via settings.

Guys, just a question in your xperia u do you have a backlight line (white) looking the display side in a diagonal view?(under black border)
Sorry for my bad english!
It's normal, the backlight LEDs are located there.
Hi,
I just upgraded my firmware from KBLH1 to XDLK1, used the official version from Samfirmware. Everything seems to be working fine except on the lockscreen I see weird grey smudges on the left side. It wasn't really clear with a colored wallpaper, however, with a black wallpaper its very evident. Attached is a screenshot of the same.
Not sure why this is happening, and its only happening with the lockscreen, I have a black wallpaper on my homescreen as well and it seems to be fine. Is anyone else facing this issue. If yes, do we have a solution for this.
Also, the LED looks a bit dimmer than usual.
For the screen effect:
-comes from the ripple effect
-was already there on ICS
-only solution is to turn off ripple effect in lockscreen setting
For the led thing:
-since JB, the led is set by the light sensor (same as the screen when set to "auto")

Hi, thanks for your reply. I figured out the ripple effect part, didn't know about the LED thing. Thanks for that.
Hi there,
Does anybody know of a way to lower or illuminate the light of the static - back/home/show all screens - buttons? When reading my phone in a dark room, the lights are quite heavy on the eyes.
Kind regards,
Martin
Mine seem to change with the screen brightness. Do you have your ambient display turned on.

Thnx for the reply! It does indeed change simultaneously with the screen brightness, but it will always stay on. I was wondering if maybe the button lights could be turned off completely and only appear when the screen is touched for example. But I'm guessing it's not possible.
Can anyone tell me why it's in two colours. What does it signify when it goes from blue to orange. Thanks
