I've searched everywhere and haven't found anything. I was wondering if acid sound mod is available for the galaxy s4? I experimented with acid sound mod v7 but it killed my in-call audio.
Thanks for your help guys.

^Thanks for the reply...Im on hyperdrive with viper audio installed and enabled but it is nowhere near what acid soundmod does. Is it just me? Or am i not setting viper4 audio correctly? Maybe you have a suggestion on how you have it setup in your phone? I left acid sound mod at its out of box settings on my gs3 and it sounded phenomenal.
Thanks again.
Interested in this to. The EQ settings in Viper don't seem to change my sound much if at all.

U picked the wrong driver
is anyone have found a right solution to the problem as i am also looking for get it sorted aptly...
I've had some serious success with viper4android, running hyperdrive with ktoons 7/7 kernel. I've never heard such crisp, loud, and bassy music out of my sennheiser HD558's as I have with the viper mod enabled. For me I use the cortexA9 driver. And my settings for viper are simply: under fidelity settings, viper bass, natural, 50hz, 3.5 db. Viper clarity, ozone+, 8db. Also in the aroma installer for hyperdrive I checked the volume option to loud. That's just my experience with the mod. Tweak it to what sounds good for you, and always check to make sure the driver is actually processing the audio.

Beats audio and Dolby Mobile for X8
Hello all developers and XDA member, and yes this is what the title says.
Its Dolby Mobile and Beats audio in one package that the member vanillaLVL has ported to our X8s, and Ive got the permissions to publish it here on XDA.
What does the modules do?
The modules will increase the sound quality and make your sound more clear.
I already have Beats Audio
If you alread have Beats Audio you can install this too, it just overwrites the Beats Audio files that you have installed.
How to install:
Just install the update-audiomodules_signed.zip from the description to make it work.
Then open the Dolby Mobile app and accept Superuser permissions.
Done, now it should work perfectly
Credits:
The credits for the original mod goes to CKKnot.
Quinny898 for Therese Dolby Mobile app.
All credits for the port goes to vanillaLVL and all thanks goes to him.
And thanks to me for fixing a valid update.zip file
Thanx will try!
is it really working becuse I can't hear diffrence and also if I task kills [in go launcher] it is disabled? becuse when I go to app it says "permisson..." ALSO how to install without beats audio becuse beats audio is ruining music on max volume really badly
@down
I also have same feeling I just can't hear diffrence and everyone is saying that dolby have AMAZING sound but I just can't hear it
I should try SRS maybe there I will hear something
update.
SRS from CKKnot is same but Paul said that he will work with him[with CKKnot] so it should be fully working ;]
i tired it out but not sure if it works can't hear any difference by activating dolby.
Don't know what i should say about it, everything still works
edit: yea on max volume its really bad !

if you have any app at /system/app, backup them
then do those following
1. install ur rom again without full-wipe
2. install the rom fix etc....
3. reboot
4. restore back those system app that you backup-ed
This is unfinished version of mod, try to wait and monitor this thread instead.
[Mods] Dolby Audio , SRS , Beats Audio
Working great in my minicm 2.1.5

It only had small difference. Only the crisp is increased. But you can leave without this.. DSPmanager is still the best! and it can Emulate Xloud beats or what ever mod there is.

Combine DSP Manger with POWERAMP...
DSP Manger( headset = bass extreme)
PowerAMP (without any modification = leave bass, treble and equlizer on the defaul/NORMAL)
AND YOU GET THE BEST SOUND QUALITY FROM YOUR HEADSET...
(((DSP Manager without it's core files - general it's NOT working...)))
Beats audio it's just flashable "sound boost", no config avaible...

After reading loads. I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the mods and stuff.
So can anyone examination what's the best way to make the sound quality better?
There's loads of bits from the voodoo side of things or the beats audio I'm not sure..
However I am a audiophile and would like the best sound and also more volume.
Thanks in advance

Voodoo Louder will give you up to 6dB more volume with headphones/headset, Voodoo Sound doesn't work with SGS2 as the Yamaha DAC isn't compatible with it. Best bet is to get a decent audio app with EQ/bass boost/widening/etc.
Other than that, a decent set of headphones/canalphones should make the sound 'acceptable' tho not as good as a phone with a Wolfson DAC like the Galaxy S (or so people say).
try some pro headphones
use voodoo louder
use dsp manager
I'll be buying voodoo louder tomorrow. I test the quality on a pair of sennheiser HD650s into a Neco Soundlab custom headphone amp so there's no issues there. :-D
So I take it that the beats audio mods don't work at all?

Some say Beats works well while others say it makes no difference at all. Could be a placebo effect but not sure. Read the Beats thread here on XDA's Gslaxy S2 forums or make a backup and then try for yourself

+1 for PowerAmp in terms of best audio quality. Better than the other apps I've tried. Also using Voodoo Louder which does not affect quality but does increase volume in headphones by 1.5, 3.0, or 6.0 decibels.

Ok this is what I'm doing. On my neat rom I have installed beats audio and so far WOW I can actually hear the sound stage and the bass is way better. I will buy voodoo louder tomorrow and put it on the resurrection remix rom and see if I can indeed hear the difference.

Ok so I've ended up putting both voodoo louder and beats on both roms and they both compliment each other and now the music is amazing! So if you want good sound quality do that. It works for me

Meh I don't touch EQs or dsps because all your doing is coloring the audio I've found with beats and voodoo louder and my sennheiser mx500s when I'm out or HD650s when I'm indoors both are excellent

I'm running 'The Collective' AoCP ROM on the Samsung G-Note with Beats Wireless headphones. The difference between the ABv3 software and the regular DSP manager is like night and day. The regular DSP manager couldn't utilize the headphones' true potential. Tight punchy bass, distinct mids, and crisp highs. It's a much welcomed enhancement to my listening pleasure. :good::good:
Im just trying to see if anybody had any suggestions on what app i can use to increase my volume a little bit. Im using CM10.2 i knw im not gonna get it like touchwiz had it cus i knw its lower running aosp. I purchased Volume+ a long time ago and used it with every phone i would run cm, however, it doesnt seem to be working anymore like it used. If i try to mess with the eq it would make it worse. Thank
I always have volume issues on cm roms. Video audio is the worst. My fix was to use a tw rom. There are flashable volume booster mods you can use.. Not sure if they work on cm or not.
Hyperdrive tw rom has 3 different audio options in aroma. Normal, slight, and extreme volume boost. There is also Viper 4 audio that has awesome audio settings for media playback.

I use V4A and it boosts the volume significantly. Follow the instructions in this thread and you can experience the full potential of the G4's audio.
