Can you enter download mode?
If so, try restoring your phone with the factory Rom using odin

If you can't get into download mode you are screwed! Sorry
But if you can you should be able to flash stock through Odin.

yes i can get to download mode but i cant install stock rom.
thats what the t-mobile thread was asking to do. i can install stock kernel but not rom.
Why were you trying to install google now, when they said in the thread that it was only for ASOP Roms (CM9 or AOKP) anyway? Maybe try to push via adb if someone has a copy for you model if possible.

Good luck. This is ugly. I still have not rooted my device because besides working great as is, I am not comfortable hacking it. I know if I mess it up it is my fault and the thought of ruining it and cost I paid is making me cautious. I may hack it down the line. But for now, I'm going to enjoy it as is.
Hopefully, you get it restarted somehow.

I'm guessing u installed all the right drivers if Odin sees your phone right? Are u using the most updated version of Odin made for our phones? U try download the rom agn? Maybe bad download, if yes try download a different version of rom, maybe the rooted one or if that's the one u used download the factory one, u try different computer? Reboot computer? , pull battery from phone for few min, some of these things sound stupid and pointless but take it from a guy with 7 samsungs its almost impossible to brick a Samsung
yea i got all the drivers and download correctly working. its weird cus it can install kernal and not rom, oh and im trying to install stock rom. only stock rom for t mobile comes in .tar type all other are made for cmw .zip format. im sure it can be unbricked but it will take some developer to get that done. i found this thread where alot of people messed up on same thing so hoping there will be solution soon. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28531684#post28531684

What about the tool kit? U can install rooted rom from there while in Odin no? Try the 3.06 version of Odin? I.mean **** what u have to lose at this point . I'd still redownload the file if was me even if waste of time . I have a at&t version and we have 100% stock Odin and a rooted Odin ..
U said u can install the kernel?? Can u get into cwr with correct kernel? Probably dumb question but I asked anyway
Rooting is of no real risk for ATT at least.

Hi
Yesterday i rooted my Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100m VIA The zergrush exploit.
I Tried to flash CWM Via Odin and it did not work!
My phone will not access recovery and when turned on normally says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again"
I have tried flashing the bootloader, kernel, CSC, modem, and firmware several times but they always fail!
I tried to follow this guide here and it also did not work!
I can not think of what else to do so i have posted this thread here!
Thanks
*EDIT*
This is what originally ****ed me up: http://galaxys2root.com/galaxy-s2-r...ckworkmod-recovery-on-rooted-galaxy-s2-i9100/
if you read the comments everyone is having the same issue
*EDIT*
- What is the error you were getting in Odin=I have successfully flashed a pit file and when trying to flash my firmware it comes up with this
<ID:0/004> Added!!
<ID:0/004> Odin v.3 engine (ID:4)..
<ID:0/004> File analysis..
<ID:0/004> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/004> Initialzation..

<ID:0/004> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/004>
<ID:0/004> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
So it is failing at NAND Write Start!!
- Did you try to flash other recovery's? If yes, then which one= No but i am now
- Do you still have download mode= Yes
- Did you flash .pit files or re-partitoned= Yes i flashed the correct pit file and it succeeded
- What firmware were you on= I9100MKG2
- Did you reinstall the drivers= Several Times
- Tried different usb port / pc= Yes
- Did you try different cables= Yes
So I guess you've flashed a stock I9100M ROM via odin and failed too, right?

Flash custom kernel so you can get to recovery then.
And if you tried that too keep on flashing.
Hold on a sec, odin passes or fails?

Oh boy, did I just read that you used a .pit file and that the flashing failed? You do know that the flashing needs to succeed when you flash a .pit?
Did you use a .pit the first time when the flashing failed?

To start with: Odin stuck's at flashing.
Details:
Model: Samsung Galaxy S 2 I9100Т, almost 2 years have past since it was purchased.
History of ROMs used: Almost after the purchase it was flashed with the latest nightly Cyanogenmod 9+ something that is 4.0.1 Android.
But the ROM was for normal SGSII, not T, although it worked good for something about a year. It was flashed with stable Cyanogen 9.1, also not for the T. With that ROM it worked another 7-8 months and suddenly got a problem with "Apps not responding at all". So, first it was factory reseted via CWM recovery, and after that, i was asked to get a new OS for it. So i flashed nightly Cyanogen 10.1xx. All ROMs, that were used with this device, were downloaded from the Cyanogenmod "official site".
Case History: After a month of doing well with 10.1 nightly, during a downloading or even installation process of a casual, but a 3D game, with a size of 20+ megaz, it suddenly got stuck and stoped responding to any input. It was rebooted by taking out the battery, w8ng for a few mins, and putting it back. After that it started to get stuck, right on the loading screen, repeatedly. I tried wiping cache via recovery: it was "doing something" for 5 mins and then saying: "Kernal Panic". Then i tried factory reset option, and the result was the same. Also, installing a new ROM via install zip recovery feature, that ended with the same message, also after a long w8ng time.
Not so successful Reanimation history: While trying to flash official service 1 file NEE (Nordic Contries) firmware 4.0.4 with Odin 1.85, it got stuck almost right at the start, while it was trying to flash a "cache" part, the process status bar havent appeared on the device even after 20 minutes of wating time. So i decided that it should be disconnected from the PC for good. That led to a standart soft brick, with a picture: "mobile - ! - PC " and a message, asking to flash something, that actually works with Kies. Download mode is still availible but recovery isn't anymore.
I tried flashing with Odin 1.85 and 3.04, and even 3.07. I tried flashing quite an amount of offcial firmwares: 2.3.3 и 4.0.3 и 4.0.4. и 4.1.2, both 1 file and 3 file versions. All the same: it kept getting stuck almost at the start, with a message or process, depending on a firmware version, but always same for the same ROM, and as i said before the process bar havent appeared on a phone even for a moment during all those attempts.
Notice: The PC, that was used to Odin-flash this device, a month before was able to flash another SGSII and did it perfectly.
Thanks in advance to everyone, who may help me in this "case", and sorry for not so good english.

It sounds to me that you have a hardware failure and there is nothing you can do. If your rom was somehow messed up, then your recovery should have been fine. Try returning it to stock as much as possible and send the device to samsung. Try to atleast reset your download counter.

Yes, i can easlly enter Download mode aka Odin mode, from this with 3 fingers method. But as i mentioned in the first post, Odin doesn't want to flash anything, it stops right at the start.
If you can provide me a link to the cure, ill be greateful.

Done with Kies. What exactly you think i should try to flash with Odin to provide you the output?
And btw, the last working OS was custom JB by cyanogenmod.

Yes, remember cm from OP.
You could flash LSJ (google "jelly bean test firmware s2 sammobile") so you can get the odin fail log up on the screen.
Flash only csc, code and modem.

pit file missing
you have to download pit file so it can create a partition. download it and flash it together with the tar file of your desired firmware. i had the same problem but it couldn't create a partition as it is full bricked and i sent it for a warranty
re-partition fails

What ROM and what Kernel did you use before it happened (Kernel version is also important)? And what did you mean with you got stuck? Details are important when you are dealing with cases like this.
I saw this kind of screen before, some guy had the same problem. However he couldn`t fix himself. Ever heard of Sudden Death?

No one has been successful with that method yet. The issue will be that the wear levelling bug has wiped out your eMMC and it needs replacing.
Have a read in the general forum of the "ultimate SDS thread" or whatever its called. There is also my "important - are you covered" thread stuck at the top of general.
So thats the sudden death ? Were you on 4.1.2 before you bricked?

before rooting was on what ever the latest firmware was
i did not use triangle away
i was using paranoid android 4.2.2
then went to cmod9
so i think i am screwed
CM9 has no SDS fix.
All you can do is try and get warranty repair if you're still in warranty. Otherwise pay for a Mobo repair / replacement.
Someone posted a how to to fit a new eMMC and the cost of the eMMC was cheap, but the effort was a lot.
People gotta take care what firmware to flash :/ Stock 4.1.2 is safe , I used DFG and didnt get any freeze for like a week so my phone's stable now ... maybe samsung come up with a new firmware which makes your phone explode or ruin our devices ... Who knows >.< ?

Hello guys!
I am new here, nice to meet all you guys. I have a huge problem with my S3 and I hope it can be fixed without having to replace the motherboard. Last week a flashed the 24th December nightly of CM14. I did a clean flash through my recovery (TWRP) and everything was working fine until two days ago when I found my phone stuck with the CM logo. I removed the battery and tried to switch it on again after reinserting it: it only showed the "Galaxy SIII" logo and couldn't boot. Now, my phone is still in this state. I can go into download mode (and it correctly shows the model number) and I have full access to the twrp recovery. However, the recovery says "no OS installed" and shows an internal memory of 0mb. It is impossible to do a full wipe as it can't mount any partition (only the recovery partition). Using Odin, I can't flash ANY rom I tried so far... I think it's a soft break as I have full access to the recovery, with a full funcioning touch screen and vibration. Is there a way to fix it? Any help? When I'm home I will give you more details and even post some photos of the error messages I get from Odin and the recovery.
Happy new year to everyone and thanks for your help.

You should try to flash a Factory formatting firmware and remapping the partitions with Pit file using Odin. If this doesn't work... There's nothing else to do
TapaStalking
Where can I find the right factory formatting firmware and pit file? I have an International version of GSIII bought in Italy (16gb). In case it doesn't work, will replacing the motherboard do the job? The thing I still don't get is how can the internal memory be damaged if I have full access to the recovery? The recovery is stored in the internal memory, isn't it?
Are you Italian? If so, take a look at this... http://www.androidiani.com/forum/showthread.php?t=344896
TapaStalking
Yes, I am! Thanks, I'll have a look at that link.
Ok, I've tried flashing a PIT file to repartition through Odin and this is what I got:
<ID:0/003> Odin v.3 engine (ID:3)..
<ID:0/003> File analysis..
<ID:0/003> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/003> Initialzation..
<ID:0/003> Set PIT file..
<ID:0/003> DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!
<ID:0/003>
<ID:0/003> Re-Partition operation failed.
<ID:0/003> Added!!
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
When I switch it on I can still go in download mode and recovery, but nothing has changed. I will try now to download a factory formatting firmware.
EMMC brick bug claims another device. Nothing can be done other than replacing the EMMC chip in a specialised repair shop. Or buy another motherboard (i know you're against it, but sh*t happens, yo).

But if the EMMC chip is bricked, how can I still enter into recovery mode? Isn't the recovery stored in the EMMC like any other partition? Am I missing something? I mean, If I couldn't go into recovery I would agree with you, the EMMC would have broken. But as I DO enter into recovery (and can read some files) looks like another problem... If I am wrong, please explain how it works because I'm a little bit lost
I had researched before posting and hadn't found anything helpful, that's why I asked here. There is no need to be rude as this forum is here to offer help between all members of the community

Why "added" come later then repatriation operation... I think you should try and try.... Maybe you can change Odin version too. Don't give up just after one try

Thanks, I will try!! Anyway if it keeps failing, I found a new gs3 motherboard for just 20 euros...if it's not too difficult to replace I think I will buy it.

That's difficult for nothing. Done this summer on my sweet S3, there are tons of tutorial in youtube.... The only thing is wishing new motherboard is OK and don't have a locked imei.... Think at this... Maybe is just time to have a new (and newer) phone

Are you using the original Samsung USB cable and USB 2.0 ports?

yes, I am! I tried several times but it fails every single time... I think I'll buy a new motherboard, 20 euros is a great price. I already have a newer phone (galaxy s6) but I need this s3 to be back to work in order to use it with my secondary sim card Anyway, If you think about installing CM14 nightlies, they are not stable at all at the moment.

I am not intending to be rude, I even explained what EMMC Brick bug means as a way to educate you and the ones that search the forums for explanations, but since you got my post deleted because you thought i was trying to be rude, well yeah, okay. That's why I hate people.
Please keep it respectful in here, and respect each others opinions..
