Are you using LTE all day?
Sent from my SGH-I717D using xda premium
Battery life on my Note easily lasts all day.
Sent from my Galaxy Note (SGH-i717) using XDA Premium.
It would be helpful if you elaborate your Note's set-up. Such as like what ROM is being used, brightness level, LTE/no LTE, etc...
My Note currently has no issue lasting a full work-day with LTE on the whole time. And this is with moderate usage. (No videos, and minimal music)
I'm satisfied with mine... Just keep a charger near by.

There are only a few reasons why you see your battery life as terrible.
1) You are coming from an iPhone. But now you're using a tool of a phone, not a toy, so your battery life will be lower.
2) You are coming from the Droid RAZR MAXX, which is the only android with a bigger battery.
3) You have a rogue app that you didn't use before that is draining your battery life.
4) You are using excessive amounts of LTE data, and you came from a phone without LTE.
If those apply to you, there's your answer. If they don't, you may just have a bad device or battery.
You really need to be more specific when stating something as subjective as battery life is terrible. May I suggest you post screenshots of your battery stats so that you can give some insight to why your battery life is terrible. Coming on these forums and ranting without evidence won't get you very far.

Pretty much every device is unique, even though they are produced and assembled in identical fashion. It's possible for a device to have faulty software or internal hardware from the factory that could drain battery, and it's also possible for it to be shipped with a faulty battery. It's not a common issue, but also not unheard of. If nothing in his usage of the device is out of the ordinary, then it's possible he received a faulty device or battery, and should exchange it.

Install cpu spy and make sure you are going to deep sleep. For weeks I couldn't make it through the day and once I realized that the phone wasn't sleeping I found the app that was causing it and deleted it. I get great battery now but still reboot every morning because my original charging cable was lost so my phone will not sleep until I reboot.

I would say battery life can be defined by screen on time only.
Brightness and lte makes much difference.
Anyways just refer to other battey forums. Search helps.

Compared to what???
If you are trying to compare your Note to Apple itoy that is like trying to compare pink tricycle with pink tassels to a Corvette ZR1. No comparison at all, definitely more than apples and oranges. Having owed, well still own till I sell it, Dell Streak only other 5 inch screen out there. Agree it is still not apples to apples (or vette to vette), but Shelby Mustang to ZR1 and can say the battery performance is about the same. I upgraded my Steak to a 2400 mAh battery and had all services on and OC'ed to 1.9 ghz, yes I know single core, standard definition resolution, etc, but as close as you can get in 5 inch screen world. So far the 2500 mAh and stock ROM, with everything on, battery time is relatively the same. Will say only phone that might compare is Samsung Skyrocket HD that is set to come out this month(?), inside they are close to the same, but the screen is 4.6 inch super Amole plus.
Can anyone help me out? This is my battery on battery monitor widget. It says 1500 mah. I've only had my phone off the charger for 3 hours and I'm on 33 percent and watching it drop fast.

Battery Monitor Widget guesses at the capacity (or hard codes it). Go into the apps settings and you can tell it the battery capacity.
Also, make sure your using decent batteries. The two for $15 deals on ebay are not direct replacements. Stick with oem or brand names llike Anker.

Yup. A rezound battery is the same size, works with the tbolt, and is slightly better. Just be sure you get a standard rezound battery and not an extended one (which also works with the tbolt but is huge and going have ti get a special cover.)

In my honest opinion yes. The extended battery really isnt that bad in terms of looks and feel. You do get a better feel and grip on the phone and its much easier to use it one handed. It doesnt look that bad and after a few days, you wont even notice it.

depends on what you want they have battery they have 2750 mAh and 3500 mah thats what i know so far. so depending on the size of the phone you care for like if you want some life in the phone but not that bulky go with the 2750 mah. now if your like me always streaming videos or surfing the web and don't care about size go with the bigger battery
How much use could one expect from a rezound battery?

I can say that I have good battery life and I use the phone between moderate & heavy.
4G, Facebook, twitter (3 accounts @ 10 minute updates), texting, notifications. games & video watching plus email checks (3 accounts) every 2 hours. Start at 100% at roughly 6-7am and still have around 30% at around 1am. i do have it on wifi from 9pm to about 1 am most times when Im home because I control my roku unit with the phone.

Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
I don't mind the bulge, i think it adds grip.
With the extended battery I get about two full days and part of a third, with one Gmail, one Yahoo email (15min), and Facebook. I also had an Exchange with push and got the same times.
However, I mostly do quick internet searches and 10-15min gaming sessions twice a day. On the stock battery I was getting a day tops.

Extended battery. The rezound battery will only give you a little xtra. I hate to say it but some of the claims by people with the rezound battery are hard to believe. Not saying they are all bull but I dont think they are exactly as stated.
Well I haven't seen any claims from some that use the rezound battery and was kinda curious what could be expected from that battery.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
I bought the Rezound battery a while back hoping for some amazing numbers, but in honesty, you may get a few hours out of it. I've never had jaw dropping hours with it but if you r wanting a big boost, I would go with the 2750mah. I'm almost leaning towards it myself.

I'm used to phones with poor battery life, so bad that I have to charge at 50% or I lose my phone quick. I'm trying to train myself out of this, but it is difficult after so long. The LGOG is so much better that i don't have to charge until 15% or so to be safe. Anybody else having similar 'problems'? Used to bad batteries and panicking at 50% or so on your LGOG?
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda app-developers app
Lol. This is exactly how I would describe my relationship with my phones, both current and previous. The GS2 had abysmal battery life. I'd always get nervous if I got under 50% and knew I wouldn't be near a charger for a few hours. The iPhone 3GS I had before that wasn't any better.
The OG has been great now that I've got it set up properly. No worries now.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
IPhone 4S was similar, but the G2X and especially the OG Evo 4G were way worse.

Coming from an HTC Inspire I still have a habit of putting my phone on the charger at 30% battery life on that phone was horrible for me.
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda app-developers app
Battery life has been about the same since I started using android phones. I can't really decide which of those I have owned was noticeably worse than my OG. Nothing really stands out.
Had the HTC vivid for a little while in between my atrix and LGOG and by far worst battery ever. Carried a spare on me at all time. Glad those days are over.

My Atrix 4G had pretty scrappy battery life. Loving the battery life on the LGOG. Although it pales in comparison to the Atrix HD with the EB40 battery mod that I used to have.

My battery life has been solid with this phone actually. I'm currently running GinSix 1.5 with sk8's kernel with the Conservative governor.
I bought the droid DNA a couple days ago and I have 10 days to decide wether or not I want to keep it. It sounds like Verizon won't be getting the HTC one so I'm trying to decide whether to buy the s4 or wait for the developers to unlock the 2.06 boot loader so I can root it. Opinions?
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
It's really up to whether you like touchwiz or sense. And if you really need extra storage.
And keep in mind, the Verizon s4 will have a locked boatloader, so there's no telling how long you'll have to wait to root that. So I woildnt make rooting a deciding factor.

Its the battery life that's really getting me. I absolutely love the display and camera quality but only having 16GB of internal storage is holding me down. I only have around 60 apps installed, all of which I use, but I have more that I would like to install but can't because of the limited space. I love the DNA's well built body and everything about the way it looks, but having poor battery life and a small amount of storage is whats changing my mind. The S4 is such a high demand and popular smart phone that I doubt I would have to wait that long before somebody unlocks it.

S4 over DNA
Better battery life, I'm even running the DNA on HSPA+ and it dies faster
Far better camera
I love blocking mode for at night, it works just like iOS do not disturb
Deeper Dev Pool for troubleshooting and hacks
Faster across the board
Will have a bootloader unlock solution almost day one.
MicroSD card for pictures and downloads
Multi color notification light
DNA over S4
Damn it's pretty
Great screen
HTC feels less bloated
More available storage because it is less bloated
Did I mention that it looks far better?

The Dev is just waiting for the Verizon version to be released before he announces the exploit.
The S4 has the option for qi but requires the purchase of a new back panel that has the qi receiver built in, it's not released as of yet but I believe it is set to go for $40.
If I were you I would get the DNA and personally I wish I had the option to because the main reason for getting this phone was a 1080p display but now that the S4 has one I would choose the S4 because I miss the developer support with galaxy phones.

Not to mention that the S4 battery is removable and charges in 1h from 0 to 100%. With that being said the DNA has an impressive battery life considering the "small" 2020mah battery and the 5inch 1080p display.
Quick charge batteries usually end up needing replaced much more often than a non removeable battery like the DNA has. Quick charge is cool and all but the average battery life on my DNA according to gsam is 18 hours. More than enough

Then you need to get a new battery because you clearly have a faulty one. You are the only person on here with a 1 hour battery while everyone else gets 24 on light use.
For what it's worth, this phone seems to eat batteries. I've been through 3, and its not even my daily driver anymore. The processor gets extremely warm, and that in turn gets the battery warmed up too. You can find batteries fairly cheap on Amazon but be careful about which ones you buy.

I think it comes down to expectation. I was able to play Inotia 4 for about 6-8 hours in airplane mode while flying.
However, in my home area the signal strength is weak. If I have 4G on, I lose about half of my battery power in about an hour.
(The battery is about 1 year old by now.) I bought a new Anker battery from Amazon. Reportedly it works well with the Amaze.
I'll have to test it out. Though I think in my area the battery life is not going to be too great due to weak signal...
It is ironically much better when I'm traveling.
install greenify from playstore (ensure you have supersu and root first) and you will be fine. my year old dead battery became alive again. also you can use anker battery, combined with greenify the phone can last day and half or more.
