Need a cloud storage app - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, After using cloud storage apps on my android, I am left wondering why cloud services don't support the basic feature of downloading to the device by default? At least an option would be nice.
I am looking for a free cloud storage service which can download the data to the android device automatically. Dropbox doesn't do this on it's own.
One example I have found is Dropbox + Dropsync.
Its good but I am looking for a free service.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Request: Skydrive 25GB Free Cloud Storage App

Hi all, not sure if this is the right forum for such a topic, please let me know if this should go elsewhere.
Microsoft's SkyDrive offers 25GB of free cloud storage and has recently combined it with their Live! services (MSN, etc). Would it be possible to get a WinMo App that allows for uploading/downloading of files via SkyDrive? The official Microsoft Windows Live! client doesn't do this, it's basically an MSN client.
The app I had in mind would be along the likes of DroppedBoxx which works on DropBox, or EverNote. The benefit would be that SkyDrive is 25GB storage, FREE, without restrictions. I believe this is much more than DropBox (2GB free) and EverNote (500MB upload monthly free) offer.
If anyone has any program or any link that could guide me in the direction of a Sky Drive app, that would be great.
Thanks!
That is a fantastic idea since it integrates well into the Windows Live ecosystem.
I just wanted to add that Microsoft's up and coming Live Sync (also free) is much more similar to DropBox than SkyDrive.
EDIT: Live Sync was formerly known as Live Mesh
bump in case anyone has any leads.
I agree, good idea!

I totally support that idea, it's a great service and having an app for this would be great, I wonder why microsoft haven't included this in Windows Live Mobile
Fantastic i'm new here and was looking for WinMo App that allows for uploading -downloading of files via SkyDrive
bump for visibility, anyone??
You can upload the files to MyPhone, then transfer them to your linked Skydrive account (then delete them from MyPhone to preserve the limited space).

cloud service for wm6.5

is there any cloud service left suppofting wm after close of myphone, dropbox and sugarsync ?
there is droppedboxx but not successful indeed.
thanks in advance
i also wanna knw
any news?
Many, just because MS closed it's services does not mean others will.
Personally for cloud storage I use some of my hosting space & thus have our own company app market & cloud storage ability all controlled by us, simple reliable secure & cheap ...
DroppedBox is working perfectly well.
For me it's a good solution.
If you want to sign for a dropbox account with 2.5Go clic my invitation.

File Transfer to Contacts

Okay is there an app for this? If both people had the same app and of course had android... Like where I could upload something and they could download it like a mms, or would I have to use cloud sharing? Also which is the best cloud sharing and easiest for both pc and phone? Skybox/Cloud whatever microsoft calls it, dropbox or? I'd like one where I could upload everything from a pc with no transfer/UPLOADING required, just drag ad drop, plus the most storage would help.
Like WhatsApp? But max it allows is 12 MB I believe. For larger sizes I just put it on dropbox and link them to it.
Talking about best cloud service, I don't really know Cuz I don use much of cloud services.
PS - you could just mail em. for larger sizes, Google automatically does it with Google drive.
life!
Yea since posting this, I discovered es file manager has the best cloud storage options, it has 8 cloud services ya can log into (Box, SugarSync, Dropbox, Skydrive, G(oogle)Drive, S3 Amazon, Yandex and Ubunto One) I got WhatsApp so I'll have to try and talk my gf into downloading that for easier file sharing. So far she's just been logging into my cloud's and asking me to load this and that. hahaha

[Q] What online photo sharing service to use?

I'd like to sync my photos from my phone to an online service and am looking for recommendations for which one to use.
I want to have these functions:
Either FTP support OR an app that uploads all camera photos automatically
Support for HD-video
All files need to be saved in their original size
Cost no more than $60/year
Good gallery-function online for friends to see my photos. Photos are hidden for all but people with the shared link.
At least 3GB storage space
These features would be nice but are not mandatory:
App setting to only upload when on wifi and/or when charging
App setting to delete local copy when uploaded and instead just save thumbnail or small version
Is anyone able to recommend a service based on the above? Flickr, Picasa, Photobucket, Imgur, Zenfolio, Smugmug, etc.?

[Q] Sync folder to <x> storage

Hey everyone,
I've been googling for many hours. I've been to many shady places. But I've come up empty handed.
I'm basically looking for an app, that can provide syncronisation between a folder on my device, and a folder on <insert cloud storage here>.
I'm personally trying to migrate away from Dropbox, of which I've been a heavy user for many years. But in the light of the recent NSA gate, I thought I'd take a look what else is out there. I've chosen MEGA, as they provide (on paper) the security I like, and enough storage for my cloud-storage-needs.
I've been using Dropbox to automatically store the images I've taken with my phone camera and I take a backup of my texts every night at 2pm, which is also, automagically, uploaded to Dropbox. The official MEGA app takes care of the first, but the latter is taken care of within the backup app itself. It can be disabled, though.
I've looked for sync apps, but neither those or apps like Helium doesn't support MEGA.
So dear XDA,
Is there hope for me?
ownCloud provides universal access to your files via the web, your computer or your mobile devices — wherever you are.
It also provides a platform to easily view & sync your contacts, calendars and bookmarks across all your devices and enables basic editing right on the web.
