can i downgrade 2.1 do 1.5?
and where to find 1.5 android os
To download from a 2.1 custom rom to a stock 1.5 rom simply download a new rom here:
http://www.htc.com/uk/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=283&act=sd&cat=all
If your on a generic phone choose the last one in the list. You will be asked to input your serial number, this is to ensure you get the right rom for your phone.
This will revert your phone back to the Sep 11 2009 update (1.5).

you can't and you lost the root
i wait the official eclair rotted by our chefs
ok...tks...will wait for the rooters to crack it open
It may be a long wait or never that the bootloader gets unlocked on the 2.1 RUU.
HTC have really tried to lock that rom down. Once you have root access its always best to stick to custom roms, the warning was on this site for months now.
I just revert my hero from 2.1 update 1 to stoc 1.5 hero UK JUSt by flashing with the old stock rom.
this is nice!
Hi *,
i´m desperately looking for an android 2.2 (not 2.2.1 or above) firmware image for a HTC Flyer 16GB Wifi Model P512 (no gsm). Does anyone still have an old rom link? The original HTC rom of 2.2 would be perfect.
The current rom is 2.3.3 and HBOOT is 1.10.0000 and i need to downgrade to 2.2.
Any help would be appreciated!
kind regards,
vaxo

2.2 Froyo doesn't exist for the Flyer AFAIK. 2.3 is the earliest.
Ye the flyer came out with GingerBread, is there any reason you want FroYo?

According to the internet it came out with 2.2. I need 2.2 for verification of an issue in 2.2 (cannot give further details) ... sadly i just bought the wrong device (website told me its 2.2)
"Back in February, HTC announced the much-awaited HTC Flyer tablet at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2011 in Barcelona. HTC Flyer is the company’s first tablet device. Most of the tablets announced this year runs on the latest Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) Operating System, but the HTC Flyer runs on the old Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS. Even though, it is powered by the 1.5 GHz processor, why would anyone go ahead and buy a device with outdated operating system?"

Nope sorry, You won't find 2.2 for the Flyer unless there's been a leak of HTC's pre release software which I doubt.

Hi everyone, Im still kinda new to rooting and flashing roms. I have been running cm10 on my HTC one x and have been loving how smooth and fast it is, but i have been missing the sense camera so i have decided to got back to a sense based rom. I'd really like to flash the latest viper x rom but my CID doesn't seem to be supported and my hboot isn't high enough? My HOX is an Australian release from Optus with CID OPTUS001.
Is there anyway to update this?
At the moment I'm running the ICS viper x rom, if optus releases JB for my model will it come through and update my hboot?
Sorry for all the questions.. everything seems a little harder on the HTC's
Cheers
Chris
I have problem... I am from Slovakia and we have from Orange (package = Optical TV and Internet) and there is for some money of course app to watch TV via tablets, notebooks(in browser) and smartphones. When I want to watch something in smartphone it streams the video but suddenly it always stops and says: "Inicialization of DRM has stopped". Person from Orange told me that I must have unrooted (I have rooted phone) and of course relocked bootloader. I have JellyBean(JB hboot) and TWRP for JB hboot. I tried these ROMs: myONEdx+ RC1.0 (JB | Sense 4+ Lite) , Desire X Stock ROM 2.20.401.5 Jelly Bean Sense 4+ , Desire X Deodexed Stock ROM 2.20.401.5 Jelly Bean Sense 4+ and both of RUU but without success. Does it mean that unrooting the phone and relocking the bootloader is the same? Can anybody help me what should I do? I tried every stock ROM from the list but without success...

I bought htc one m8 from e-bay (at&t unlocked) when I was USA. That at&t apps are really annoying and I didnt get the lollipop update. I wanted to update the rom by myself and delete the at&t apps. And now I rooted + unlocked bootloader and installed android revoulation 5.0.1 lollipop rom. I can't use wifi + I cant reboot the phone (it stucks at white HTC screen). I didn't flash firmware because s-on still. So I need really simple and detailed information about what to do. Can anyone pm me about it or explain in comments?
There is not Lollipop update for AT&T yet.
And if you aren't on AT&T's network you won't get any OTAs either. AT&T is fairly unique in this regard, other versions will update regardless of what carrier you are connected to.
For most Lollipop ROMs, you will find your WiFi is broken due to wrong (old) firmware. Your options:
1) A couple Lollipop Sense ROMs (LeeDroid?) seem to work with 4.4.4 firmware. But if your firmware is older than 4.4.4, I don't think any Lollipop Sense ROMs will work.
2) Revert to a ROM version that supports your firmware. For instance, if you are still on 4.4.4 firmware, install a stock or custom 4.4.4 Sense ROM.
3) S-off and update your firmware "manually".
