[Q] Xperia Sola's build quality!? - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

I was wondering how good is XPERIA Sola's build quality in your opinion?
Do u face any problems? For example mine already make some noises on both sides
next to volume button and power button... I guess it is because of pressure every time
I press these buttons. How do u fix it? Do you put in some paper or something like
that to make it stiff and strong? Share your opinion...
P.S.
I bought this phone a week ago.

I was thinking of getting a case for the phone to save it from scratches and dust but I don't think It would help with that back cover..
and I know that every Xperia Sola user faces these back cover housing problems... I just wanted to know If someone has a solution, some tips how to fix this.
Reason I am concerned about it's because I don t want to get it to condition when that back cover would be deformed completely, I ve red on Sony talk forum and have seen some pictures of half year used Xperia Sola... looks terrible, ofcourse it depends on how you use it. I use mine carefully, and first little noises appeared in a few days...
Anyway... I might buy case for the phone... maybe it helps. Thanks for reply
some other thoughts?

Nah man it's not a creepy phone and bro I must tell u for me it is proving to be a very supercool gadget..... If ur facing any lag problem I would simple suggest u an app ''greenify'' just use it and let me know.... this app actually renewed my phone

Can you share an apk?
Does in needs root premissions?
Sent from my MT27i using xda app-developers app

Ya bro it needs root permission and I swear I am very happy after using that app, I really feel as if I am using my phone for the first time .here is the download link

Well my phone is not actually old. So what excatley this app does? Is it just another task manager?
Sent from my MT27i using xda app-developers app

Nah bhai it's not a task manager, never use task managers coz they harm the system, greenify just hibernates the background apps ''remember it donot freeze or kill'' .just try it once man..... Oh and yeah my phone is just 3 months old
Sent from my MT27i using xda premium

After I get root I will try, Thanks
Seems like I solved back cover problem wasn't that hard at all. I taped small insulating tape slices on the inside of a cover sides where it made noises ... now It does not make a single noise, feels good attached to phone

Haha I will try ur tape trick too thanks for that.....

I can t find greenify app thru my xperia sola
when I find it thru pc it show that my phone isn t compatible with this app... why?
about the tape trick, just tape only 1 peace on each side from inside of a cover in places where the noises come from... at first I thought 1 peace wouldn t be enough but with 2 on each side it s tough to attach housing to the phone.

Ru using gingerbread? If yes then bro update it to ICS.. 54
Greenify works with ICS and JB
Sent from my MT27i using xda premium

And also ICS is a huge battery hog... No thanks I am good. At least till stable vrsion of ICS comes for sola wich is probobly never
Sent from my MT27i using xda app-developers app

Bhai my phone is running on official ICS I updated it through pc companion and trust my words there is nothing at all wrong with it all is great, I just rooted it nothing else. Its the greatest gadget I have ever bought, can play all 1 to 3 gb games without lag

Battery backup is 10 hours using games, browsing and also listening to music, there is one option in ICS ''power management'' just tik it in settings and then see ur ICS battery backup
Sent from my MT27i using xda premium

sure sola is a greath phone instead of what other says about it.
I ve got ICS official update to, but the batterry drained a lot faster and I was facing some lags.

discovered new issue... now that part where is XPERIA sign and speaker on the other side started moving.. a little bit but still It can go ugly after half year tryed to unscrew and screw back, didn t helped... what s next? Screen will start moving?
Anyone else got this problem?

I have the same sound on the back cover whenever I touch the back with my fingers. I think it would be because of the plastic case. It's not bothering thing but I'm so curious to find out what is it !?
Mine has an annoying creak if I press to the left of the power slot.
I should point out that it is caused by the case not quite flush against the power input... appears to be a design flaw.
Mine has this as well, its most likely due to a slightly loose panel. I think its normal, which is to say its a byproduct of how the tab is designed.
They replaced the back casing of my tablet..problem resolved
sent via awesome aRc (rooted 2.3.4)
Mine has one above the top right of the screen when in landscape, close to the power button. It is extremely annoying because I seem to grasp that area a lot, otherwise I probably wouldn't care. I have been thinking about checking the warranty to get it fixed, but I fear its a design flaw with the plastic case and such.

You are right... The phone cannot overcharge... but when it becomes warm the problems start...
The moment I use the phone for - let's say 10-15min - it becomes unresponsive. The screen pop-up menus start flashing (appear - disappear) and I just have to switch off the screen and wait 10-15min before I can use it again but not for long...
I haven't searched in any other forum but I read about a guy who had the same problem and he received a new Mini...
So as soon as we are back in Belgium I will change both our Mini's.

This isn't an overcharge problem, from what you've said anyway. If it was an overcharge/overheating problem it would show up as soon as you use the phone?
I had an old LG Chocolate. One of the first heat sensor touch button phones and that had the problem of when the phone got too hot (either sitting in the sun too long or on charge too long in a warm room) it would start jumping around the menus and all that, I couldn't work the phone without cooling the touch buttons down. It happened as soon as I unlocked the phone, sometimes i even think it was trying to do things even when it was locked.
So the fact that it happens 10-15min after stated using, leads me to believe it is something else. Does anyone else agree with me, or am I completely off base??
Cheers,
Evil.
Thank you all...
I think i better consider again to buy the phone....

Feeling now like I have married a beautiful wife but she never stops nagging. ( ok I have and she doesn't just incase she reads this >:~} )
Had the yellowish tint and it was getting it worse then sent it off to Sony came back a month later with ICS installed but nfc broken and I use it all the time and getting FC even using contacts aaarrrrrggghhh if it goes back to them I may just give up and jump ship grrrrr
6 reboots and countless FC's and gave up installing the rest of my daily needed app's that never gave trouble before.

True, and not that it brothers me rooting and fixing, but really annoys me that we spend plenty of money like lemmings on devices that are really below standard.
It its usually the second version of all manufactures devices that the bugs are ironed out.
So now have to spend hours of my time fixing the crap that should not have been there in the first place. Companies are now out sourcing the support for their devices to the crowd. If only they would reduce their prices to match the poor support!

Hi,
I've just received my new body from ebay. But I have problems changing the front part of the body. I have removed the screen connection cable, the problem is that I can't understand how to remove the camera and the plastic in front of the screen (is this the digitizer?). I managed to change my silver Neo V into a white one, and yeah it was hard trying to remove those pieces from the front plate: there's nothing more to it other than just slowly cutting all of it away. :/ But I did read somewhere that adding some heat to it (i.e. use a hairdryer) helped to loosen up the glue holding it together.

I once charged my phone via Samsung charger and my lcd was done away with...but don't worry about your bootloader...india hai...bootloader kya hota hai ye tak nahi pata hota yaha ke service centre walo ko...simple root tak to pata nahi hota...ha ha ha...just relock it by flashing the relock ftf and flash stock GB ftf and take it to them...and then show like you are a complete dumb who can't even install apps...and pretend like you know nothing how it happened.
I did the same thing and got my lcd replaced under warranty...but beware...if you don't mind your device lying there for a couple of months...go with it.

Yeaah...just tell them u were updating firmware or repairing via pc comp and all off a sudden something(obviously u should not be knowing...bcoz u are a complete dumb) happened and the phone went dead...give it a soft brick...or just remove some system app so it goes into bootloop...but DON'T speak the word Bootloop...you know why...Ha Ha Ha.
If your device is bricked they simply repair it via pc companion...and since you already have relocked it...it will straight away start repairing it...hence they dont even think if it is locked or unlocked.
