I think pulling down the notification tab will gives you an option to disable Beats etc...
I am on Carbon ATM, so can't check to confirm...

Well basically I don't think you can. But if you go install ViPER4Android (an equalizer on xda) you can make it sound amazing again. Just set a profile that someone has already made.

Volume booast?

Hello guys, I'm new here and very new to the android platform. I got rid of my iphone for the amaze but the first thing i noticed was how quiet the music players volume is. I like to listen to my music really loud. Is there anyway to increase the volume. i've tried an app volume + but that didn't really do much. Any help would be appreciated.

I recommend going to the MARKET and downloading an app called POWERAMP. You can download the free trial that last about 2 weeks before it expires (you can uninstall the app and reinstall it every time to refresh the trial) or you can help out the devs and buy the pro version for about $5.99. Poweramp has a bunch of different settings for sound gaining, treble, bass, preamp etc. I definitely recommend it!

Thanks for the reply but i tried that app. That app just has a bunch of different EQ setting's to make the music sound louder but it also makes the music sound bad. I use playerpro which has the same settings with the dsp pack. Any way to increase the main sound? Like directly from the audio server.

[Q] Looking for desktop version of the Player's SoundAlive bass boost

I've been looking everywhere for something to use on my desktop PC that is similar to what the Player's SoundAlive bass setting does. It's just perfect - great bass boost with negligible impact on volume, zero distortion and no need to fiddle around with the equalizer.
The only thing I've found so far that is similar would be Poweramp's tone controls for treble and bass, but I haven't come across a software solution that would do that.
Do you guys know of any software like this, preferably something compatible with foobar2000? Or maybe what exactly is the technology behind the SoundAlive bass boost? Thanks in advance!
If you use foobar2000, why not using the equalizer plugin in foobar2000?

I do use it, but the results are far from the quality of the SoundAlive bass boost. I don't think the Player's bass boost can be achieved by simply boosting the lower frequencies on a graphical equalizer.
any answers
How about DNSe instead?
DNSe is previous version of samsung equalizer and used at samsung mp3 Yepp series.
Emodio was pc programm that can get theme or lyrics and else.(Nowadays this services were closed.) This programm use DNSe and It can play music.

PureXaudio with HTC One

During the installation of the ARHD 9.1 I checked the option for PureXaudio.
I figured it's not an app because I don't see it in the app list. Is this more like beats audio enhenser? Something you install and it adjust the sound regardless of the player you use?
How do I turn it on/off? I am using Winamp and Rocket Player. Neither player's setting have an option to turn the purexaudio function on.
Please help.
Thanks !
It's always on. No settings or anything.

Thanks!
On a side note, I am trying out different audio player and have noticed an issue of strong background hissing.
I tried a few different combination of players having Beats Audio on and off but the problem is beyond bearable to my standards. Some players are better than the others but non so far is satisfactory.
Do you have an audio player that you recommend?
Once again thanks for your help
Do you guys notice any difference with PureXaudio?
I thought the Beats is already pretty good, so I don't install that.

[Q] Speaker Bass Slapping CM11

Hi I am running CyanogenMod 11 nightlies on my Droid DNA and whenever the volume is over half on the external speakers, the bass makes a "slapping" sound (similar to what you'd hear in one of those overly loud car stereo systems). Anyways, this has begun to get pretty irritating and I'm wondering if anyone has come across this problem or has any solutions. I've checked the DSP manager app that comes preinstalled on CM and bass boost is turned off and all the settings look fine to me.
Regards,
Alex
EDIT: I found a solution, use a root uninstaller to delete the DSP application, reduces the speaker crackling and bass slapping effect.

Also you can use Viper4Android instead of DSP.
You try using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2211163 with clarity speaker option? It worked on my DNA to reduce the bass distortion. I used it on sense, so don't know how well it works on AOSP

sound

Is there equalizer app or something to improve sound?
Not while using headphones (aka not huawei sound effects)
My sound is very very low on latest update. I think Huawei broke something.
Question, does Mate 10 pro uses internal dac and sends analog signal trough USB port or it needs an active dongle with dac inside like Pixel and most phones?

I feel that too i think my sound speakers were louder when i first got it
They could improve it alot by allowing the earpiece act as stereo rather than high frequency
As i have stereo+ turned on so in youtube for example when i rotate the phone the sound experience really changes
As I've said elsewhere download equalizer pro. Works brilliantly and I use all the time with Spotify.

Most definitely. I am seriously considering downgrading my rom to an older os. It's just unbearably too low and tinny.

Can i see the icon of the app?
Or better a link?
Just look for Equalizer FX. Pro on Google play or other alternative APK places
