Hello everyone, and thanks for clicking on my post I'm a relatively new poster around here, but I've lurked these forums ever since I've been using Android. Now, I want to create this into a repository for theming. Not simple homescreens with some derpy GO Launcher EX themes or something you found on MyColorScreen, No. I'm talking about actual hardcore theming. Please read on!
Also, check out my LOCKED BOOTLOADER MODS REPOSITORY HERE, Thanks
POST YOUR RESULTS!
PART 1:
Pre-Requisites:
-A Phone. If you don't have one, I don't know why you're here.
-Root. Okay, well technically you don't need it, but in order to get the full effect you should have it.
-CWM/TWRP Recovery. In case anything goes wrong.
-CREATIVITY. This is important, the designers of the Japanese flag lacked this one.
PART 2:
Okay, so first off, we need to get a LAUNCHER. For those who don't know, a launcher is an application that changes the way your homescreen and app drawer functions, and can introduce new theming capabilities.
I recommend one of the following:
-Nova Launcher (Most popular)
-Apex Launcher (Changeable Fonts)
-Holo Launcher HD (Less RAM usage)
-GO Launcher EX or Launcher Pro (LOL JUST KIDDING)
PART 3:
Set up your homescreen the way you like it, I prefer one screen with my Music/Whatsapp/PlayStore/Duolingo/Spanish/Translate, with a Google Now widget at the top. I use the 3 language things because I'm increasing my Spanish vocabulary. Estoy aprendiendo Espanol(; Anyways, once you've got it how you like it, get a wallpaper that will fit the general color scheme of what you're trying to accomplish. Don't pick some stupid Batman wallpaper if you're making a Hello Kitty theme. Now you're probably bored, so here's where the real magic starts...
PART 4:
DOWNLOAD GO LAUNCHER EX IT'S THE BEST RAWWWR.
PART 5:
I was kidding. That thing sucks lmao. xD Anyways, download Xposed Framework Installer, and then download XThemeEngine. This is where you need root. This is going to allow you to modify your status bar and some system icons, without needing a custom ROM such as CyangogenMod, AOKP, MIUI, PACMAN, iOS (Wait what?)
Download Xposed Installer HERE
Download XThemeEngine HERE
Now, launch Xposed Installer and grant root access blah blah blah and CLICK ON "INSTALL/UPDATE!" Good job! If you just bricked your phone, it is totally my fault! Because I touched the button for you and decided against my own gut that this is risky and still did it so yes it's TOTALLY MY FAULT! Sarcasm. Everything will be fine, if it isnt, you have CWM and a brain. Okay, next, go to the MODULES tab and enable "XThemeEngine" and then tap it to launch it. Grant it root and choose the theme you want. You might be thinking, "HERHER DERRRRR I DON'T HAVE A THEME [email protected][email protected][email protected]" Well, I'm getting there. Basically, we can port any theme for CM, etc. to our phones using the method the creator described in his thread. I won't get into that. Instead, I'll leave you with some links to some themes Because I'm just a generally likable guy.
Xposed Framework

PART 6:
THE FINAL PRODUCT.
Homescreen Preview. That Google Now Widget... Sabroso(;
Notifications Preview. See that WiFi indicator? It's a crown(;

SOME HELP
-Not all status bar icons change. Well gee, you can't ask for everything can you? Pick a blue theme if you want a nice blending. It seems as if it's only the Network Signal and the Clock that don't change though.
-Not all the settings menus change too! Seriously? Deal with it.
-My phone's broken. Wow, that really sucks doesn't it? Kidding. PM me and I'll fix you up, or check out cmahendra's offline KDZ flash if it's that bad.
-I accidentally downloaded GO Launcher EX, HELP THIS SUCKS. Well, if you want your phone to stay pure, you ought to throw it at the sidewalk and get a new one. That launcher is hideous and gross, your phone will hate you forever now. If you're okay with that, find the uninstall button. Oh, what's that? You can't find the uninstall button? Find a CWM image for a phone that isn't yours and flash it. That'll get rid of it!(; Please don't do that.
-I hate you. That's alright, I can live with that.
-I WANNA REMOVE THESE THEMES WAH. Go into the XThemeManager and choose stock theme, or uninstall the XposedFramwork completely.

Looks pretty slick I see they got Mixer, I did enjoy that theme while on Cyanogenmod maybe check it out, thanks for the leg work.
Just put Mixer on and it's nice some of the stuff is off but then again this isn't a deodexed rom so it's pretty awesome none the less may try something else but I am enjoying the possibilities here, thanks again for sharing this.
Edit - again thanks for this but everything is slightly off so I'll stick stock, it's a cool idea but just not for me, thanks, also noted a bit of a slow down with it.

Wow, thanks for being open to new genres. (; Anyways, check out "Xposed Status Bar Mods." Just google it and find the page here on xda. Just go into "tweaks" after you enable it, and then scroll down and select "remove/hide clock." Makes your UI so much slicker, now I just use my lockscreen for my clock aha
And as to the dubstep comment, I must present you with this. Imagine slaying aliens to a track like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiNYUQXMH0A

Sorry to hear that, I think my power button is starting to give out after all this time. I currently have IcySnap installed, but will be going back to using MiRaGe and maybe tweaking it to my liking, if mrg666 gives me permission to do so.

@ the mods, my apologies if this screenshot is violating XDA rules, if I have to remove it I will.
This is my favorite theme setup
I'll post what I used to get it looking this way soon, just kinda preoccupied at the moment.
Edit: Okay this is a pretty simple setup, just follow my instructions.
1.) What is needed:
- Xposed Franework
- App Settings module for Xposed Framework
- UCCW
- Beeping Weather (UCCW skin)
- Bar line UCCW (not my work, I honestly forgot where I had found it but I have the original theme zip for it)
- Simple Metro Mirrored White icon pack
- FLATRON CM10 theme
- Stock Analog Clock (themed with FLATRON)
- PowerAmp Pro, with Minimalist skin
- Patience
2.) Activate navbar with this build.prop tweak:
# Navbar control (0=on,1=off)
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
3.) Pick out whatever wallpaper you like
-----------------------------------------
Now comes the most time consuming part of the process.
Install Xposed Framework, and install the framework itself, then reboot.
Install App Settings module for Xposed, then reboot.
Set this dpi value in App Settings for said app: Apex Launcher - 180dpi
Open Apex Settings, go to Homescreen Settings and set the layout size to 7x7
In Behaviour Settings disable auto rotate
Now you may proceed to setting up the icon shortcuts
Phone/Browser/Messaging/App Drawer/Camera/Gallery/Apollo
Make sure you have the Simple Metro Mirrored White icon pack and have it in your sdcard placed wherever you wish to place it. Choose those icons for each apps individually.
If you have purchased PowerAmp Pro, set the 4x2 size widget and choose minimal style (white text)
Start placing the rest of the widgets in place and resize them properly to fit neatly where they belong.
Download BarLine V2 UCCW skin, which you'll most likely find on XDA in some thread with minimal screenshots.
By the way those widgets are all UCCW, except for PowerAmp Pro
Set whatever wallpaper you desire
I guess reboot to finalize everything. Let me know how it goes, my bad it took so long to get back to you on this, hopefully you enjoy using this setup as much as I do
Let me know how it goes.

I am not RESPONSIBLE if your phone malfunctions or is corrupted in any way shape or form. This is also ONLY for Droid X and Droid 2 at the moment but I hope to make my way to other phones Fission supports as well....
Instructions have changed... You no longer need to mount or unmout system when in recovery. I have edited the install script to make it faster and easier to apply this theme over Fission as well as it being available on Fission ROM Manager and the Lite version as well... New instructions are as follows:
**After downloading the theme file place on root of your sdcard
**Reboot into clockwork recovery using Rom Manager or Bootstrap
** select: install zip from sdcard> choose zip from sdcard> Galaxy_S_Theme_x.x.zip
**Select "Yes - Install Galaxy_S_Theme_x.x.zip
**Navigate back to main menu and select "reboot system now"
There you go, that wasn't so bad. This theme is now up on Fission ROM Manager and Fission ROM Manager Lite, this will make it a lot easier by making it pretty much one click theme update...
Posted up a How To YouTube video on installing the Fission ROM and my Galaxy S Theme... Hope it helps those how need a visual aid.
YouTube How To
Follow me on Twitter and tweet if you tried my theme, thank guys!
@StuntinX

**I want to hear your thoughts on what
you would like to see in this theme and
and I will take it under consideration
ONLY for DROID X and DROID 2. Will be ported to as many phones says people want just let me know. Also don't be afraid to voice your opinion, I would like to here what you think and might want changed.Themed Facebook and Twitter applications have be added as a update.zip and you may just flash it as normal.

This will be fixed. Sorry for the lack of attention to this thread but things are pretty busy around my parts. There is a download link above and the script does all the mounting for you so though its not one click as with FRM but it is fairly easy. Hope this works for you for time being and it posted on FRM hopefully sooner rather than later.

Ok, so here is something that should help with the small keyboard. Download "LCDDensity for root" (free) app in the Market and set it to 240, yes I know that is the stock setting but it should change the size of your soft keyboard back to normal.
For the live wallpapers all you should need to do is download and install the live wallpapers addon in FRM. Then you should be able to use them, if not reinstall Galaxy S theme again and it should all work.
I appreciate the complements, I'm just glad I can share the work I do just by tinkering with my phone lol. Good luck

I have only one complaint of this theme and its that the battery indicator done not follow the 10% incriments like the others do. This theme goes from100% to 80% and skips 90% for me. If you could fix this that would be nice =)
Odd request, but you think you can make a neon pink version of this theme along with a 2.6 update please? Thanks a bizzle.
A 2.6 update of the same theme would be awesome I loved that theme!

Known Issues:
1. If the widget does not show up in the widget menu or you do not see the battery % then you may need to reboot for it to show up.
2. For some odd reason the apk file will cause the Asus file manager to close the folder its in while trying to accessing it. Use Astro File Manager or Root Explorer to delete the downloaded APK after install and you will be able to access the download folder using Asus File Manager. - This seems to be fixed with the latest OTA delivered on 2-8-2012.
ENJOY!!!!

Give it a shot!!!! lol
I do like the idea, and the execution, but I'm wondering...
Considering the widget is open source, and has it's source open on GitHub - why not help improve the widget, and add the alternatives as options in the widget in the first place?
Coolio.. thanks
So, I am not the only one on XDA in San Diego

Not exactly following you, this is a version we modded. I think we greatly improved it. Anyone is welcome to do what they want with the source code. We just made this because we liked it and figured we would share. There are several hundred smali edits to make it installable on the prime without root on top of the imaging. This is also able to be used on the tf101.

Should be right next to the Asus Battery, called Asus Battery 2. It was tested on HC and the latest ICS .11 Build....What build are you running?

May need to reboot for it to show up the first time.

No reboot "should" be needed. It should show right off. I have seen some widgets lag in getting loaded into the system, but never had to reboot and didn't have to here.

I had same issue at first. So I uninstalled it. double checked settings. unchecked unknown market sources then checked it again. Also noticed I still had USB debugging still on(doubt if this affects anything) so I cut it off. then I reinstalled the widget apk. n it appeared in the widget menu. looks good.
Thanks op, I had ran out of thnkx.

Yes it will, it just takes a few extra steps. You start by smashing the iPad to pieces, then you order a prime once your prime comes in your ready to install (note: this is also a great way to get the dock to work)

Different strokes for different folks. It happened to me accidentally and I liked it. It doesn't bother me as far screen real estate and I like how I can customize them to no extent. Its too much for Darkknight to incorporate so I wont be hassling him. I just asked a question and got a suffice answer that's it. Since you don't like the soft keys on the Atrix no answer could be logical for you to understand or relate. I also understand it redundant Im not blind to the fact we have capacitive buttons but for my sake they don't light up so there's no problem for me.

Reinstalled and everything looks good so far. I will also recommend a rewrite of what procedure to follow as it is a little hard to follow. Thanks for bringing this to us OP. I was wanting something new and you have provided it.
Screen shots?
Or is it standard touch wiz?
The reason I posted what I did immediately after the OP, is because it seems like the rom being ported here could have some value, but copying/pasting the information is just not sufficient enough to provide the instruction folks need.
Mixing case in sentences, etc make it VERY difficult to read.
I wouldn't flash this rom for fear of bricking my device - IDK what half of what you've mentioned REALLY means, and I'm no noob to the scene....if you're rushing to put all of this out over tapatalk for the sake of getting it up, I think I speak for the userbase here in the D2VZW forum that I'd rather wait for concise information as to what this is, what's to be expected, and the minimums to making everything work as expected unless otherwise noted.
I do look forward to seeing what this rom is all about, when the OP is re-written.
Someone post screenshots when you can....curious.
Thanks for the support guys!

Don't delete it man that's not the point I was trying to make. I appreciate your effort. We all do. Just in its current state its hard to follow what actually needs to be done. Again I sincerely appreciate your effort to provide this for the community. Hang in there boss!

The Ultimate Real Icon Theme v5
Note, this is intended to be a Verizon Touch Wiz theme, any complaints from other carriers will be ignored.
It is finally here.... Thanks for waiting patiently.
The theme can work on most touchwiz roms. There are roms like Hyperdrive and Beans that have a lot of custom systemui that can end up breaking the system bar. The least mods you have, the better your chances of sucess.
The Aroma is still a little figidity. Sometimes you have to hit next a second time even after it has vibrated to indicate it was pressed
###Please Note, if your rom does not have a 1% Battery Mod, you can not install the % batteries because they won't be accurate. This is not the fault of the theme###

Thanks guys for all your hard work. I would also like to thank the Aroma Team and Villian Themers who make this possible. Without it, this wouldn't be a universal theme.
There is still tons to come so this is just for those that like to follow along.
Changelog:
v.03 - added about 50 new icons to Contacts (menus and tabs) and integrated my themed Google apps including the new Play Music.
v.04 - added MMS theming, systemui and framework-res theming.
v.05 - added theming for settings
v.06 - I updated gmail and google music but I have only themed the launchers on the new maps, its a bigger task than I have time for right now.
v1.0 - Pulled all files together and added Aroma Installer. Updated Play Store and Maps
v2.0 - fixed the 3d signal bars, i accidentally had the wide ones in place of the regular width.
V3.0 - Updated Google apps, Added eyes for Smart Stay. Everything works in ME7 except batteries, i will rename them soon.
v4.0 - Added 5 styles of dialers
v5.0 - Added new Play Music, Gmail, Google Voice. fixed aroma issue and updated aroma base. No double clicking needed now.
**notes on Google Apps. I moved them all to Data/App except the store. My script removes the old ones, well, i delete a large number of file names that I have seen them called in the past. But, if your current one is under a different file name that I don't delete, it won't show up. check in /data/app and system/app for two version of whichever one it is. If you delete the old one and reboot, it will come back.
***I do not provide Stock themes for you to go back, that's what Nandroid is for. So make a Nandroid and you wont have to fuss.***

Good Stuff as always sir!
Oh yeah!!... We're here!!
Awesome!!!
The bad thing is that you cant port this from the s3 or the note 2 because it has a bigger resolution, hence all bigger images. So unfortunately its starting from square one again, which is why there is so little done. And then again, it doesnt mean squat without the aroma installer working.

Thanks guys for all your hard work. I would also like to thank the villian themers who make vrtheme possible. Without it, this wouldn't be a universal theme.
This is hardly our normal mass of work. Seeings we still don't have a working aroma, I decided that we would release all the status bar mods as individual installs (which you can find all over the s4 theme forums or just look in my beitel.us thread) and then start working on the core of the Real Icon Theme as a single install without choices (yet).
So far, all we have is most of phone apk themed, most of contacts apk themed and the Launcher apk themed. Of course you can always add the google apps theming from my other thread to give my theme a small amount of completeness.
There is still tons to come so this is just for those that like to follow along.

No problem man . Start making a back up to be on the safe side. I am pulling the XML from a stock rom and the stock battery, that will replace your modded XMLS and that circle battery.
(FOR OTHERS TO READ: THIS ISNT FOR OTHER ROMS EXCEPT SYNERGY!)

Actually, wth am I talking about. This should work for every I545VRUAMDK ROM but make a backup first and I'm waiting for a confirmation that it does work.
ALSO, if your dev made edits to the XMLS inside of SystemUI it could possible break those features. Such as transparent status bar and things along that line.
Every ones been warned!
