The gt-i9300 is designed for GSM based networks. Only America and a few small pockets of the world use CDMA.
That said, US have some GSM networks and not all frequencies are compatible with the i9300.
Could you explain why you asked this question?

Wanted to port a ROM that was international to my sprint s3. It's Chinese so I was going try it and see what happens.

Hello XDA,
I was wondering if anyone who is on the ROGERS network and running Insomnia's Juggernaut AOKP ROM having difficulties connecting to the LTE network.
I have issues where I can only obtain HSPA+ or 3G connectivity. I have ensured that the correct Rogers APN's are used (I get LTE on any other ROM including CM9 which is AOSP based)
If you're running this wicked @$$ ROM please place your input here.
Thank you in advance.

Dial *#2263# then hit 4 then 7 then the home key after that go back into it and select 1 this should fix your problem

Make sure after you select 1 you hit the home key and not back

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA

How did you get *#2263# to work? This dialing combination shouldn't work on an AOSP/AOKP dialer. I know that this dialling combination works on any other ROM
You are on the juggernaut ROM correct?

My bad I'm currently using flappjaxx latest rom. And your right it won't work on that dialer. Good luck and sorry I couldn't help

Finally a response lol.
Do you have LTE connectivity? If so what does it display on your statusbar? Did you run a speed test to ensure you're getting LTE speed?
Please post back!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Mine goes from 3g to h on status bar. I ran speed test not getting late speeds any fix for this yet
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
I mean lte speeds
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
I've been asking "smartguy044" for a solution but he's got nothing as of yet. Hopefully you can post on his rom thread so it shows more people needing a fix.
I seem to be the only one on that thread requesting a Rogers LTE solution lol.

Anyone else on the Rogers network having LTE issues on this ROM?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
I am on the hybrid rom for the Note, but I have LTE speeds on Rogers. However, I found that I cannot tether properly. (It connects but the connected device cannot go online).
Anyone have that issue?
Can you flash a rom made for a sprint s3 to an at&t s3? Or vice versa or T-Mobile to whatever? Or do are most rooms carrier exclusive...

Nope.. won't work. Wait for support or go to the teams website and see if its being released anytime soon or if they have plans to support the i9300.

Well not the i777. The international version. So we should be able to hell raise it no problem I would imagine.

Could we possibly flash this on our devices? I'd take a stock 4.4 over TW 4.2 any day.

I prefer vanilla Android over the Samsung touchwiz gui. At least give the consumer a choice.

Exactly. The cell phone carriers provide a service only, we should be able to do with whatever we want with our phones.

:what: you can get one on Verizon too..... Unless I'm mistaken and the gpe edition and dev edition are not the same thing? Never really looked into either that much because I think paying $800 for something that should cost only $300-$400 dollars is stupid. I may have to jump on that train though someday if these phones keep getting harder and harder to unlock like they have been
