Hi, I've got this problem: I flashed a rom (omega v24) and the Hirox Kernel Intensive 5.8 on my Samsung galaxy S2..
I started to have bootloop which I have tried to resolve deleting the cash partition ecc, then I flashed the rom many times and different roms too and later again I used Odin..
Before using Odin I got no positive results: always stuck to bootlogo..
Odin instead, flashed an ICS official firmware and everything seemed to me to work fine.. But there was no signal.. no way to receive messages and make/receive phone calls.
I realize I got the problem of the EFS folder and Imei code but it was too late to recover them.. I deleted them just before the flash formatting the unit..
Now i'm using a XXKH3 firmware who gave me the EFS folder and a temporary imei code and let me receive and make phone calls ecc but as I flash a rom, this one works except for the sim card. It works only with that XXKH3.
Now here's the question: how can I replace that temporary Imei with my real Imei that I have on the box of the phone? How can i write it? I looked for tools and something like that but I found nothing for this model.
Thanks
G.

So I accidentally wiped my EFS folder and I had the same issue with no signal. I had the fake IMEI for a while and did a ton of googling. Found this guy Rafał Być (Facebook him) and he repaired the imei for £10. (I didn't have to send the device, he repaired it remotely after I sent the money over Paypal, It took no more than 15mins). I did do this around a year ago and I saw his website is down today. Maybe you can get in contact with him, Good luck.

Hey, did you get in contact with the person to resolve your IMEI problem? I think he is available for repairs now.
Yeah he answered me some days ago but I had already resolved the issue by that time

You are right I have changed the title right now and later I will post here the path I have followed; I will translate it from Italian to English
Here is how I solved the problem:
English:
0. Check the IMEI malfunction writing *#06# on the Phone's keyboard. It should open a little window sayin' "unknown" or something like that.
1. Download the package of the XXKH3 firmware; I used this link: http://www.meksone.com/come-riportare-in-vita-un-galaxy-s2-senza-imei/.
2. Follow the guide at this link: http://www.obit8.com/ripristino-cartella-efs-samsung-galaxy-s2/.
3. Before to execute the part named "Passo 2" of the guide (which unfortunately costs €32,47), flash the firmware XWLPF (download here: http://www.androidiani.com/forum/mo...are-i9100xwlpf-italia-4-0-3-26-05-2012-a.html) using Odin.
4. Root the Phone using from ricovery the zip file named "Root_Superuser_3.1.3_Busybox_1.20.2-Update1-signed.zip" at the bottom of the first post at the page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28178105 ; doesn't need CWM.
5.Check on the box to find your IMEI code, or on the phone itself, under the battery. Write it somewhere and write the serial number too.
6. Execute "Passo 2" of the guide as it is explained in the video at the same page or at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXmhLRPXokM.
7. Check that your IMEI is now back on the phone writing *#06#.
8. If now the phone still doesn't have signal, go to the system settings of your phone, then Security, Set Up Sim Card Lock and make "Lock Sim Card" without the cross. Now your phone should receive signal and you can again put the cross to block the phone with your pin number.
9.Other problems your phone should have are the missing rebooting menu and lockscreen even if enabled.
Using root explorer go to EFS folder, then IMEI and edit the file name "keystr" (if it doesn't exist, just create it) writing inside of it "ON" (just ON without ""), and set all the permissions (read, write, execute); open the file and check that ON is still written, if not write it again now that you have permissions.
Finished!!!!
10. Reimpostare il "blocco scheda sim" se voluto.

Kentel do you know how Odin works? Have you already downloaded the package XXKH3?
Inviato dal mio GT-I9100 con Tapatalk 2
Hi, I did the first part of the instruction, i.e. I downloaded I9100XXKH3 package, installed everything with Oddin as advised, rebooted, flashed efs but I still have baseband unknown and no imei at all. This is obviously wrong because according to the instruction I should have baseband back and a generic IMEI at this point. Could this mean that this problem is a hardware fault in my case?

yes, I know about Odin works, and I have downloaded XXKH3, but not start anything yet.
with Odin u Have do do this:
Put the telephone in download mode connected to the pc and Odin should recognise it; select
Repartion, Auto Rebook e F. Reset Time;
PIT:select the file u1_02_20110310_emmc_EXT4.pit;
PDA, file CODE_I9100XXKH3_CL479037_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5;
Phone, file MODEM_I9100XXKH3_REV_02_CL1050544.tar.md5;
CSC, file GT-I9100-CSC-MULTI-OXAKH3.tar.md5;
Start.
Now the recovery should give you some errors: you Have to turn off the Phone, Put out your sd card and do that thing about Odin again(pda, code, pit etc.) ; then go again in download mode, connect with Odin and select only Auto reboot e F.Reset Time. REPARTITION NO!
PDA and select the file EFS_I9100XXKH3_CL479037_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5
Start.
Kentel, this is what u Have to do and mrpiter if u do this exactly it should Work, otherwise i really don't know

but i have some confuse at your second part... do I need to put "code and pit" again when flash PDA EFS_I9100XXKH3_CL479037_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5 ?
I tried without "code and pit", only EFS... ,
check "Auto reboot e F.Reset Time"
it is HANG on start up, won't work.
Any news Kentel? It's right to flash only EFS file as you did.
Are u still stuck at bootlogo?

Related
First off I already read everythreads with the keywords : "Fake imei" "corrupted efs" "0049" "00499901064000" "generic imei" "Imei problem" etc ....
I tried theses methods : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17587351
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iY9cDkj4CCw
delete nv_data.bin and nv_data.bin.md5 and reboot
I also tried to use another ROM but nothing is actually working.
Full story :
July 2012 I buy a SGSII from a woman I just met (yeah stupid but it was only 200€ so ..) it works like a week and then the network problem, it seems that this bi... had a anti-theft insurance and reported the phone as stolen (she gave me all the documents) so they blacklisted the IMEI and the phone was unusable. I then rooted the phone, and deleted nv_data.bin and nv_data.bin.md5 wich worked because i had connectivity, i used the phone for like 2 months and then the problem showed up again, blacklisted (i think) so i managed to make it work again by installing a new ROM and then doing the delete it worked again for several months. And now 2 days ago my IMEI got blacklisted (or some****) again. Tried deleting > nada, tried using a new rom (Cyanogenmod 10.1.2) and then delete > nada, doing the 2 methods listed above > nada. I don't really know what I can do, i just wasted 200€ and now my IMEI is 00499901064000.
I really need your help.
PS : As said before I make this thread because everytime the Imei problem is related to a ROM fail or corrupted EFS files. But my problem is that even if i fixe the problem it will be back in a few months and it will be harder to solve.
PS 2 : Excuse me for misspellings, and if it's not in the right place.
I see your problem, but that link is related to get your imei back.If you get yours back then it is blacklisted....lol.The only way is to keep using the "temp" one or contact the company that blacklisted it and see if they can help.

Yeah I know that but i was thinking, if I get back the old one, the original one, maybe i can delete theses two files, and make it work again, like going back to the first time i solved this problem.
Already contacted them they said they can't do anything.
And my actual IMEI is a 0049 so I can't connect to the network.
There's nothing you can do about it if the carrier won't unblacklist it. That's pretty much the end of the discussion. Chalk it up as experience.
OMG OMG OMG
I just found my first save of my EFS files.
I replaced the actual EFS folder with my very first one and it worked, got my first IMEI back, and i don't know how but it's not blacklisted anymore
Thanks anyway guys
Hi all,
first post so be gentle with me.
OK, heres my situation... I had CM11 ROM installed, I woke up one morning to find my device wouldn't turn on, ahh just a flat battery I thought... nope, after hours of charging it just still wouldn't come up. I managed to get it into download mode and restore the ROM. In doing this it changed its IMEI to 0049... and wiped the serial number. I work in IT, so I spent hours and hours trying to fix it myself but I had to surrender and take it to a Samsung Service Centre local to me. £35 later they have restored my IMEI and serial number, awesome... I can carry on using my phone again after using a bog standard £9.99 Classic style Nokia :good:.... NOPE....
It now indicates that a SIM card is inserted, and registers to the network (EE), but I do not get mobile data connectivity!!!??? I try to dial out, but I get "Not registered to network".
My Device Status reads:
Network: Unknown
Mobile Network Type: HPSDA
Service State: Out of Service
Mobile Network State: Disconnected
This is on a stock ROM restored using Kies:
Basband Version: I9300XXUGMK6
CSC: I9300OXAGMK6
Does anyone know of a quick easy way to fix this, or do I just go back to the phone repair shop make out they haven't fixed it properly making them get it working!?
Many thanks in advance

Download a compatible firmware from sammobile and install thru odin.
Odin installation instruction should be available in youtube.
i managed to resolve this myself, by flashing a patched version of MK6.
I'll provide a link to where I found the patches shortly

This means your efs is not compatible with v2 firmware and you will have the same problem with every update in future. If you paid samsung to fix the efs then they should do it properly.

I have the same problem as you on a s3 it is your solution?: Confus:
Hello people. The time was using a SIM chip in my S3 but it only worked the data network and no phone calls. It displays the H + icon and access the internet without problems, but does not do phone calls, appear Mobile network not available.
So I changed my carrier and everything started to work until yesterday the same problem happened again. The IMEI number is correct.
Could someone help me? Grateful.:good:
Flash stock firmware and factory reset, if still the same then hardware issue.

Functioned smoothly, nothing stood in the current operator I'm using. can it be hardware?

Today i'm finally able to unlock my LG X Power LS755 (Sprint) to use with GSM, thought a quick post may help others.
The method i used is the method to unlock LG G5 Sprint, which can be found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g5/how-to/guide-gsm-unlock-sprint-lg-g5-t3574819
After that i can use it with GSM Network, but i can not put in the APN settings yet. I can not change the APN in the IOT menu, maybe i can use the ##3282# DIAG menu to change, but will have to get the MSL code first. Can you suggest the best way to get it?
APN is Unavailable to Edit
Try long pressing the tasks button while in the iot/lte apn menu.. I couldn't figure out either, until I read a few pages of posts on that thread
If you get your msl code, the above method does work. I can verify that. I couldn't get the LTE to work at first because the guide is not working exactly the same, but if you enter the code ##3282# and go under the LTE section, tap on the LTE and it will say view/edit. from there you will need the msl code to edit. You can then turn on the LTE. Also editing the apn was as was previously posted in the last post. Just long press task button on the apn under the IOT section in the hidden menu app from the first post link. To get the msl code for boost you can set up an account if yours is deactivated and not pay. they will forward you information to use at a later time by email which will include your msl. Pretty nice hack. If you're account is active you can call for it or there is a way to do it by phone without talking to someone by button options which you can Google something like "get boost msl without talking to a person" or whatever. There is a guide for it I've seen. I hope this helps. FYI, I've used it on MetroPCS, but still when the network switched you get a stupid temporary notification saying the network is blocked. you can just dismiss it. I wish there was root to use xposed notifyclean, but that's life.
it will work with virgin version?

Yes it work but if your phone have firmware ls755ZV8, if you update your firmware to LS755ZV9 doesn't work anymore. The Hidden menu app not show the options you need.
My phone is relocked after updating to ZV9. There is no solution yet. You better disable the update before ZV9. Now the best chance i think is getting the MSL code to use with the Diag Menu.
i need help with my phone LG X Power (boost mobile)
hi there, I have a LG X Power (LS755ZV9) I purchase this cell phone in the street and was unlocked to any company. the cell phone is from boost mobile, but I have a sim card from Claro ... The phone do not recognize the sim card .
IMEI of phone: 358756071920230
I reseted it from the factory and that's where the problem started.
In fact, I speak spanish, I got help from the translator too. I know a little.
A technician told me that apparently I have to download the previous version to be able to unlock the phone.
What would that version be? Or What I have to do, or to download?
I'll appreciate your help. :silly:

can you help me to unlock my phone LG ls777 zva
can you help me to unlock my phone LG ls 775 zvd?
Hello everybody!
I'm owner of Polish D620r (LG G2 Mini) and I decided to install some nice custom ROMs right after my warranty expired. I should actually do this even before because of enormous lags on Lollipop stock. Unfortunately I'm having weird issues with modem.
My story starts with new recovery (TWRP_2.8.7.0_D620.img.zip) downloaded dunno from where (probably XDA). Right after that I installed Cyanogenmod 13 (cm-13.0-20160107-NIGHTLY-g2m (1).zip) downloaded also from a thread on XDA forums. Everything worked fine expect there was no available network operators- no internet connection, no SMS, no calls, nothing (inb4 I had my real IMEI and contacts). Then I read some daub (trash) guides and installed wrong modem for my phone. That was a big mistake cause it generated a bootloop and reinstalling a CM13 didn't solve the problem. Also I'm worried now that my EFS has been corrupted.
I decided to download and install a stock (D620r20a00_flash_TWRP_SU.zip from XDA) and everything started to work again. I had LTE and T-Mobile.pl network. I thought my network problems are gone so I installed CM13 again but unfortunately nope. Since that my IMEI is now "00" and I have connection with operator only with 2G/EDGE/GSM. Every time I was trying to set Preferred network type for "LTE" or "3G" there was no signal (cell coverage) and was occurring notification "Connect problem with service T-Mobile". Thirty seconds later it was automatically changing for EDGE with full signal. Then I've got interested in CM and I realized that LineageOS is continuation of Cyanogenmod.
I downloaded and installed LineageOS 14 for my D620r (lineage-14.1-20170704-nightly-g2m-signed.zip) because OP of XDA thread said that every bug has been repaired. And that's not truth cause I still have the same problem- no IMEI and no LTE/3G internet (no LTE/WCDMA). Also LineageOS created new problem- I can't import contacts from SIM card.
Guys really I've already spent one week for trying to solve this problem and now I'm out of ideas and I need your help. I was trying to use any options for APNs, was creating new ones, was deleting all of them and leaving just one. I took modem.bin from lollipop stock and replaced it in .zip with modem for LG G2- didn't solve the problem. Then I tried to install these modems for LG G2- system wasn't booting so I installed back again that .zip with replaced modem for LG G2 mini and system is booting now but it's still EDGE. I entered /dev/block/platform/by-name/ and backup modem, modemst1 and modemst2 and then delete it or replace with others but still didn't make any change.
Most weird is that sometimes I have LTE or HSDPA+ for about 30 minutes. last day I had a record with 15 hours of LTE signal and then rebooted phone and again EDGE only.
Recently I put my SIM card to my girlfriend's ASUS and LTE was fully working.
What's also noticeable is that when I enter to Network operators and after refresh I click on "T-Mobile.pl" then I got message "registered to network" but few seconds later I have "No service" notification and sometimes (but not always) it finds service but still EDGE. But when I choose "Choose automatically" it finds services immediately and also still with EDGE.
I will add some photos soon.
For everybody who tldr- I've installed: stock Lollipop-->CM13-->LineageOS 14 and I don't have IMEI, LTE, HSDPA (only EDGE) and can't import or export contacts from/to SIM card.
Ps. I have the same LG model in my home in which wasn't installed any custom ROM and there is still stock.
I can't add photos uploaded to Imgur cause I'm new user on XDA and I need 10 posts :/
Try to go back completely to stock, using a .kdz file.
Then try again...

Installed .kdz stock (lollipop T-Mobile) with LG flash tool and still no IMEI
I'm tying to do this https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701861 but QPST Configuration doesn't see COM ports.
I'm stuck.
I read this https://forum.xda-developers.com/g2-mini/general/backup-partitions-including-efs-t2806161 and took all the of the files he wrote about from another LG D620r. There was LTE for a while but then again EDGE and no IMEI. This is really weird cause on this other LG D620r LTE works fine and IMEI appears.
My EFS is corrupted i think. I have backup from another LG G2 mini but LTE works only until reboot (no IMEI also).
I was trying to fix my IMEI from "0" to original but QPST doesn't find my device connected
Any ideas what to do?
