Introduction
This is a very little guide on how to import contacts from Bada to Cyanogen
As we all know.. Cyanogen has that little bug, and it doesn't read our contacts from the SIM Card
In this Guide we will use KIES(just for Bada, it doesn't work with CyanogenMod)
Informations
First.. maybe you have the contacts, but they are not displayed:
Open Contacts and choose "Display Options" from the menu. That will list all of your various accounts that could have contact information and you can choose whether or not they display. For me there's one that says "Phone-only, unsynced". Expand that and make sure the box is checked. It was unchecked for me but I don't use that anyway.
Click to collapse
Second.. you could use backup too:
It is free from android market, but you need to re-flash a ROM that Imports/Exports your contacts.
Right here is the link: Super Backup
Click to collapse
Third.. you could use Google Sync:
It is free, but you need to re-flash a ROM that reads your contacts.
Just sync your contacts with your Google Apps Account and the first time you'll Log In on your other ROM it will auto-Import the Contacts on your phone.
Click to collapse
Fourth, you could just Export the contacts from Phone(thanks to Dev. & ihavenick):
Boot Bada - Go to Settings - Contacts.
Export your contacts to the SD Card (.vcf files).
Now go to your Android, open Contact Application.
At menu select Import/Export, select Import.
Guide
Open KIES.
Select Open contact file.
Check all contact then Save as ..
Change the file name from .spb to .vcf then save.
Open Windows Explorer, go to PIMS folder at default you can find it at My Documents\Samsung\Kies\PIMS
In PIMS folder, you`ll find .vcf files.
Copy all files inside PIMS folder.
NOT PIMS FOLDER!!
Paste that file to contacts folder in SD Card.
PS: Just create a new one if the folder doesn't exist.
Now go to your Android, open Contact Application.
At menu select Import/Export, select Import.
Done!

And I must thank 4 other guys that helped me understand the Android and they're still teaching me:
ihavenick - The first one who helped me understand the Android!
Volk204 - He's the guy that helps me with codes and makes me understand what they do.
Tigrouzen - Lmao! Your kernels are great dude!
Rebellos - He motivated me and I thank him very much!
Dev. - A little guide without KIES.. Thank you!
Great guide sir!
You can do it without KIES
1.In bada go settings
2.Export your contact to the SD card(In contact settings) /this format become VCF/
3.then go to android then Import from Contact settings
4.Then push the thanks!

Mentioned that.. can you take a better look above?
Google Sync..
esiest and simple way
1 - in bada2 , go to settings- contacts - export contacts - sd card
2 - in badadroid open file manager , find contact file and install it
:good:
3rd way
There is one app available both for bada and android, called wesync. Just install that and we will be able to synchronize the contact between different os, phones.
I have done so:
1.settings-export card for bada sd card
2.contacts-menu button-Imports from sd card for android
worked without problems

I want to change the backup folder in Titanium to my external SD card. The Titanium site says to do the following:
-Open the Titanium Backup settings (MENU -> Preferences)
-For the Android 2.2/Froyo ROM (or the Cognition ROM on a Samsung Captivate), set the "Backup folder name" to external_sd/TitaniumBackup
When I open Settings and preferences the closest thing I see is the "Backup folder location". When I open that, it tells me where it's backing up to, but the only options I have are "Detect", "Use the current folder" and "Cancel". Am I missing something?
Try using external_sd/TitaniumBackup for the backup folder name. Then reboot. Works great for me!
Don't forget to hit the Thanks Button!

You need to navigate up one folder. When you are on the screen w/ the Detect button, hit the back button and then you should be able to scroll down to external_sd. (I know, it's completely weird and I have no idea why TB would do this.)
That has got to be the most counter intuitive thing I've ever seen. Thanks.
I agree totally weird! Thanks for advice here though as I was stuck too....
This post was very helpful. thank you.

I've just spent 2 hours looking for this solution. THANKS.
Somebody needs to sync the program and the Wiki 'cause they don't match

When u click on "backup folder location" in the preferences menu, it has a box for "detect", and at the bottom of the window, it says, "use the current folder" and "cancel". When u open the window, next to the "detect" box, it will show the default file path, and folder name that the app is set to save ur backup to, which should say something along the lines of, "/mnt/sdcard/", etc. Just press ur back key, and it will take u backwards through ur file locations.Just press the back key on ur phone until u get to the path name that starts with "/mnt", then u can scroll down and click on the folder named, "sdcard-ext", they inside that folder, u can click on "create new folder". Name it "TB Backup File", or whatever it is u want it to say. Easy as that. Any questions, please feel free to ask
Titanium Backup directory location
On my Galaxy S II Skyrocket, which had a MicroSD card installed prior to installing TB, the app shows a default backup location of:
/mnt/sdcard/TitaniumBackup
If it's of any interest, when viewing the SD card using KiesAIR (a fantastic app, by the way), the TB's settings and config location shows as:
/sdcard/external_sd/data/com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup/settings
I was really confused on the way to change the folder location.
The tip really helped me to solve,.. I almost thought I wasted my money on buying Titanium Backup Pro..
Worked!

Hi, I'm having a strange problem with the folders on TouchWiz. After I've filled some apps into a folder which i created, say 4 apps in total for example, and they are arranged in the order 1,2,3,4 (from left to right). But after i reboot the phone, The apps in the folders rearrange themselves in the opposite order 4,3,2,1 (from left to right). In short, the apps in the folders rearrange themselves in the reverse order everytime i reboot my phone. Any idea on how to fix this issue? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure u can see an order there or?
So f.ex. before reboot it's sorted by time from input (newest to old)
After reboot it's sorted by f.ex. name? PLS check this first.
CHEERS
What is f.ex. ? Folder extension?
What I mean is that I've created this folder called "News" then i started to drag apps into the folder, Pulse followed by Time Mobile followed by Engadget. So now the apps are in that order in that "News" folder. Then i reboot my phone, and the apps inside the folder are now arranged in the order Engadget followed by Time Mobile followed by Pulse. In short, the apps reverse their arrangement WITHIN the folder everytime i reboot the phone. And yes, the order of apps is sorted by time from input into the folder. Before reboot, oldest to newest. After reboot, newest to oldest. The order gets reversed with every reboot of the phone.
The folders themselves don't have auto rearrange problem, same goes for the apps outside the folders. They remain in the same position before and after reboot.
I hope I've made myself clearer now.
Bump. Anyone has any solution?

f.ex. : for example
hmm so for me listen logical.
News folder: news to old
Sure while creating it, it's in other way.
So Maybe u find an app which helps to create folder,
but stock folder can't be changed especially if they are created from app?!

No offense but i don't understand a thing you typed.
I am using stock ROM so my folders are created using the stock folders app which comes together with the standard default TouchWiz launcher.
This is how i create folders: (Application Tray > Menu > Edit > Drag icons into "Add folder")
Folders can be renamed. After the folder is created (by default it will be named as "Folder 1") you can just open up the folder and at the top of the folder which says "Folder 1" you tap and hold it for about 2 seconds and the system will prompt you to rename the folder.
Please try Menu > Save after changing apps or folder location.

Well, not sure entirely what device you have, but typically the Contact related apps are held in the /system/app partition and when reinstalling, you can't just sideload the apk like you can for a Play Store app. You must have root access and move the apk files to the /system/app partition either with a file manager with root access and change the permissions (very important or they won't work or open!) or flashing through a custom recovery. If that fails and you don't have the option to just reflash the rom then just get other Contact apps via the Play Store like Go Contacts & Dialer, ExDialer, etc.
Hi, thanks for answering my device is is like a Mi3 (xiaomi) but internally is not like the original, carries a mt6589, I have root access, what I do is copy in system / app those contacts.apk and contactsprovider . apk I grant permissions to install and run, but after that did not start. I put ex dialer and it works but does not allow me to save contacts.I can not find a rom for this device.
this is my device information
I'm not referring to permission to install the app. Please read this for a better understanding: http://www.droidviews.com/how-to-setfix-file-permissions-on-android-devices-a-beginners-guide/

Hi!
It's very easy, but first you need to make sure that the .zip file has the same resolution as your phone. As it's not an official theme just yet you need to verify first, we'd say try it first though and if it doesn't work you might have to wait until the theme gets ported into Themer.
So for now, all you have to do is to paste the .zip file into the /sdcard/MyColorScreen/Themer/Exported/zip folder. The theme will now appear in the Exported tab of the My Themes section. Good luck!

Hello, I just installed themer yesterday. It is now one of my fav apps of all time xD .
However, today I been trying to side load themes into themer without success, as i gathered from some websites and from a video by the one of the peeps at mycolorscreen: you just copy the zipped theme folder onto the folder called " Exported" and then to "Zips "(found in mycolorscreen->themer, on the phone), with that done the new themes should be visible in the themer app in My themes>Exported>zip option .
My problem is that I can't find any folder called exported or export inside my themer file directory in the phone, I checked everywhere , there is nothing like that. So I ended up creating a folder called export and then a folder called zip inside it , but still I cannot access this from the themer app ( Mythemes-> exported->zip->choose the new app ) .
Please help !
MyColorScreen/Themer/Exported/zip is the right folder an i think its case sensitv.

When sideloading themes, you can often get one that doesn't follow Themer's guidelines, meaning that the user will set shortcuts to his/her personal preferences.
