[Q] Cyanogen Mod boot loop! Help! - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

So I just flashed the latest nightly (that is all they have for the S4) onto my S4 and it is stuck in a boot loop. My phone is fully rooted and I have clockworkMod recovery 6.0.3.2. I power on the device and The cyanogenmod logo spins and continues to do so. Not sure what to do now.

Boot into recovery and do a wipe/factory reset. Wipe dalvik and cache. See if it boots after that.

This is called bootloop I guess. Suggest u remove the battery and after putting it back go into recovery mode ie vol up + home + power simultaneously. Factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache from advanced and reinstall miui v 4 via cwm. This should work.

Remove the battery? The battery is built in or do you mean to gutt the phone?
it only goes to stock recovery not CWM.

Np!
I did somthing and it works fine :/
In worst case, you just need to run RSD to flash your original firmware (but never try to flash 2.3 version)

Two roms tried...

And both are getting stuck at the boot logo screen.
I was running liquid ics for a while, did a reset and deleted all data which put me back to stock GB, tried that for a day, then tried to reinstall liquid ics and got stuck on the boot logo. I also tried twisted umbrellas latest and I'm having the same problem
I have tries flashing both multiple times and battery pulls. Any ideas guys?

Have you tried to wipe everything but SD card? .. (if you on 4ext recovery its easy). Then go to tools and wipe 3ext system and data. Then flash the roms.

I did wipe all data factory reset and then was on stock GB again. I tried to install another rom and got stuck on the boot logo.

You need to wipe cache and dalvik cache as well. That will boot loop you every time.

After it boot looped a couple of times I deleted both of those and it still Was a no go.

I got it! I forgot to format the system.
1 factory reset wipe data.
2 wipe dalvek cache
3 format system.
Oops.
I will let you guys know what I think of TU rom.

Did your ROM require a custom boot image? Maybe you have to flash it too...just saying.

How to: flash ota killer zip?

I'm new to the thundbolt. I purchased a rooted thunderbolt which after activation keeps prompting me to update. Is there no method of freezing the ota with this device? Best way is to download the zip which I did ? But how do you go about flashing it so it will stop the ota ? Thanks for all your help !

Reading about renaming files now

Reboot into recovery. Choose install from SD card or flash a zip. Find the file and flash it then wipe cache and dalvik cache and rebooy

Is it suppose to be upgrading upon reboot ? Thanks

This was immensely helpful. I had forgotten how to do this as I hadn't flashed my phone in ages.
Thank you!

Won't pass boot animation after flashing rom.

I've flashed the Cm Nightly, then the xperia rom. I cannot flash a ROM? I can really, but stays stuck at the boot animation screen. Just unlocked bootloader, and flashed that bat file for recovery. I did factory reset, wiped dalvik and cache, still stuck. I don't even have the stock one. Does it matter if I have s on? Am I missing something?

Amm first of all I'll recommend you to flash 4ext recovery.
Then if you have branded amaze then it's ohk you can flash the ics firmware and then simply wipe all partitions via 4ext anđ flash the Rom..
But if you have unbranded amaze then s-off is must and then further steps..
Have you done this! ?
If not then do this and for working device flash gb Rom if you have not updated yet

Already fixed. I installed TWRP v2.3.3.0 and flashed some unofficial Cm 4.2.2 rom and gapps, then flashed boot.img via adb. Now I have another problem. I have no internal storage. Only about 2gb.

This is just crazy, I'm going to attempt reflashing. Just bought this phone used yesterday. My battery went from 85 to 54 jut by booting to recovery, then to 9percent

I recommend using 4ext. I would also recommend starting from scratch. Put it back to stock and start over. Also wipe your battery in 4ext and calibrate it after flashing any rom.
