I have CWM installed and downgraded from JB to ICS stock (one of the rooted recoveries). I received an update notice to v20h and I chose to install it and now the phone only boots to recovery. I tried to restore one of the previous backups but it still only boots to recovery.
What should I do?

I have a HTC One from T-mobile and it is currently stuck on a GPE rom I got from HTConeroot.com - m7_GPe_JWR66V_deodexed-signed.zip. I tried to upgrade to android kitkat 4.4 using the same website I mentioned earlier and followed directions to install rom manager so I could get CWM recovery instead of TWRP. I flashed CWM 6.0.3.1 and then rebooted into recovery to flash the latest 4.4 ROM but the flash failed. I had a backup at the time to stock Sense but somehow deleted it out of frustration. The phone then became bricked. I sideloaded the above mentioned GPE rom w/4.3 and now I'm stuck here. I have a Dell Windows 8.1 computer and can no longer use fastboot to flash any other recoveries. Rom manager says it has flashed TWRP but when I reboot it is still CWM 6.0.3.1. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to flash a different recovery or a different rom????
I have tried to install smartdroid in my s3 using TWRP as recovery manager. Since I previously backed up my stock rom I was able to back from a flashing problem I had "some changes failed". As I saw this can be overcame using Philz I changed the recovery. Then I tried to install, again, the smartdroid. This time it finishes but never booted up correctly.
Now, I am not able to reload my backed up rom (as it was made with TWRP and now I have Philz) nor installing smartdroid. So well, I want to install TWRP but I haven't seen the zip file to install it from Philz recovery What can I do?. Can I use odin from Philz?
Thanks
I didn't remember the download mode!, This post saved my day http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/twrp-flashing-tar-t2680354
Hi! I've been messing with my phone for a while and have it rooted and Bumpd with TWRP and I recently decided to switch back from the unofficial CM12 to the system backup I made before flashing CM. After I restored it, it wanted to install a sprint update and said it would reboot to install it, stupidly I pressed "okay" and didn't realize that it probably wouldn't install correctly with TWRP and not the original recovery. Now every time I restart the phone it boots into recovery (I assume because it wants to install the update). I have tried to boot it into download to reinstall the stock firmware but it still boots into recovery. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Have a great day! from my LG G3
I have a rooted S5 G900T, with PhilzTouch CWM and a stock 5.0.1 rom. I decided to update to 5.1.1 yesterday. I couldn't do the OTA update, so I used Kies. The update worked, except the phone and mobile data wouldn't work. No problem, I thought--I made a nandroid backup before I did anything. I reflashed Philz Touch CWM using Odin, rebooted into recovery, and restored from my nandroid backup. Everything appeared to work successfully.
But now, it's just sitting on the white boot screen. I get the T-Mobile jingle boot sound, and then nothing.
Solutions?
Thanks
problem solved. Reflashed firmware.
Troubles started when trying to upgrade to 23.5.A.0.575 shown here. The ROM simply got itself unrooted and ate my recovery. So I downgrade to 17.1.2.A.0.314 in order to root, successfully root, and then try every goddamn way to install a recovery but it just does not work. I've used the Nut's dual recovery here, the install script reports everything's peachy, it installs NDRUtils, but when I ask to reboot to recovery it just reboots normally. Also uring one of my attempts, the final ROM stayed rooted but /system became readonly, rendering it useless.
What do I do? If I flash the older firmware, shouldn't it wipe everything and make it possible to install the recovery normally - a recovery claimed to work with locked bootloaders? (I'm not unlocking my bootloader).
I lost my root (when updating to 575 from 570)three four days back, I installed lollipop ftf, rooted and installed recovery.
Didnt have any issues.
I installed .28 lp
