Hi Guys, tried to sell my Sony S at CEX today and when they tested the tablet it failed due to they were unable to access the settings section on "about tablet". If you press "about tablet" it comes up with "unfortunately settings has stopped". Im on rooted with the aid of S.onyTablet.S v6.4 and been on root for a long while. I have tried to force system update through v6.4 but I don't get any notification on the tablet.
Anyone had this problem who may be able to help me.
Cheers,
David.
Having same issue on sons tablet Acer B1 all of a sudden
I too am having this same issue. When I go to Settings -> About Tablet, I just get "unfortunately settings has stopped". And can continue no further. I've tried force stopping Google service framework and Google Play Store and clearing cache for both with no luck.
I just faced this error msg a few hours ago and it's when I went to settings to change my ringtone tried restarting, go to recovery mode and wiped cache, go to settings>app>all and do a clear data on settings+restart. No result.
I guess my phone has to be a mute one. Sucks.

Hy!
I have a SGS3. The problem started with a crash exactly with a " com.google.process.gapps stopped working ". So after this every google apps stopped working. The problem appeared when I tried to update some apps on google store or play store.
Second problem cannot connect the phone with usb to pc.
I readed all the threads regarding on this problem but none of those solved my problem still getting message.
Phone information:
SGS3 GT-I9300
ROM : Jelly Beam 4.1.1
Kerner : Siyah 1.8.6+
What i did before posting problem:
Deleted data in application managemant
Settings > Google > Your Account > Browser (uncheck)
/settings/apps/all....clear browser data and Google services framework data and reboot
Wiped Dalvik Cache in recovery mode
Rebooted and restarted the phone several times
I did manage to back up the phone when it was every thing alright! Do i need to do a restore?
I did't do a Factory reset because i want to hear or read what you fellows prephore.
Or is there some thing else way to fix the problem?
I uploded some pictures to see what kind of error message i am getting!
Sorry for poor english and grammer mistakes!
You can try fixing permissions in recovery, in advanced options. Probably you'll need to factory reset and either restore your backup or flash your rom again.
First of all, you're using and outdated ROM and an outdated kernel. update both. second of all, you need to do a factory reset when flashing, that's why you have issues. or just wrong gapps.

Hi, I just recently found my old 2013 Moto G. I unlocked the bootloader and installed cyanogenmod on it. When I unlocked it it said the "Unfortunately, Google Play Service has stopped" So from there since it was an old phone and I had nothing to loose on it I just whent to settings and restored to factory settings. Of course that didn't fix anything and now I'm stuck at the activation screen and no way to get out since I get the "Unfortunately, Android Keyboard (AOSP) has stopped." Therefore I can't type! Please let me know if you need any more details. Thanks for the help!
Hi,
I tried rooting my phone using this method [Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo SM-903F] for the first time using Odin and it seemed to succeed on Odin but on my phone it is a different story...
I keep getting Unfortunately, x has stopped working...
the follwing is a list of some of the processes that have stopped working since:
download manager - unable to download anything
user dictionary - everytime I use the keyboard
contacts storage - can't get onto the contacts app
weather daemon - weather gone off lockscreen, no big deal
media storage - looks like i'm unable to store anything
The phone now shows as connected in Odin but whenever I open the Windows Explorer, I can't see it
I've tried restarting the phone a couple of time to no avail.
I fear I may have screwed up my phone a little too much - is there a way to return it back to how it was or fix this mess?
I'm going to try and Factory Reset it, is this a good idea or do any of you have any other ideas?
Thanks
Hello and welcome to XDA Q&A section of the Forum.
A factory reset is always a good idea. But before you try that, open SuperSU and go to settings and disable root and reboot, see if the problem still persists, if it still happens, you know the root of the problem (pun unintended) but if it stops it is because of root. To fix this, do a wipe and then root it and try again.
If I helped, hit "thanks"

Hello XDA,
Here is the deal. Today, i see some google apps updates. They include: Telegram, AndroDumpper, and (i think) most importantly Busybox. I let google play update them and i leave the phone. When i come back, i see my phone was rebooting.
Phone turns on>Cyanogenmod Logo appears>Lock screen appears. I can unlock it. The message: "Trebuchet has stopped working" continuously pops up and there's nothing i can do until it finally goes back to Cyanogenmod Logo. I tried turning it off, going to recovery and clearing cache and dalvik.
I don't know if this has to do with busybox. I don't even know if it updated before the problem started. I would like a solution that doesn't involve a total wipe and reinstall of my rom. If i have to do it, i will do it; but it has been some time since i last did it, so i will have to search for everything again (how to do backups and installing new rom).
My phone is a Moto G XT1032. I don't know how can i search my cyanogenmod version without turning my phone on :/
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Update: Now my phone doesn't force the soft restart. I can go to the settings. If i try to go to the main screen, the message keeps popping up saying that trebuchet has stopped working. Going to Settings>Applications also shows the message "Settings has stopped working"

Hello, I rooted my Note 4 about 2 years ago and never installed any custom ROM nor have I installed a custom recovery. It had been android 5.0.1. Recently, I decided to unroot and finally update it to 6.0.1. I then used ODIN and flashed the official firmware on sammobile. Everything went well with ODIN and the flash was complete. However, once my device rebooted, there was an error where it says "Device does not have DRK, please install DRK first..." and then there was an "error" in the middle of the screen. After 10 min, I removed the battery and manually reset the phone. Once my Note 4 booted back up, everything seemed fine, but i had this constant "unfortunately cloud agent has stopped" msg. Also, I noticed each time I opened the Gallery app, it would crash and the same "unfortunately cloud agent has stopped" would pop up. I tried to force stop the CloudAgent and gallery in my application manager but the issue continued to persist. When I would go into the settings under application settings, simply by clicking the gallery option will crash the settings app. Even my camera app would crash and have the same msg when I click the gallery preview on the bottom right. I read online that it was an issue with dropbox, but nothing changed. Finally, I decided to factory reset and wipe the cache partition my phone through recovery. I then noticed both DRK and Dm-Verity Verification Failed msg in red on the bottm of the recovery menu. Restarted the phone and everything seemed fine until I noticed the "unfortunately cloud agent has stopped" msg again. Not only that, when I try to turn NFC down in the setting, the setting app itself would crash. Tried factory resetting the phone a couple of time but the issues were still there. I also noticed that each time that I would reset my phone, there was the "Android is starting..." green screen that appears as if I was doing updating my phone. I tried re-installing the firmware with ODIN again, but I still had the same issues. I tried using smart switch to re-install the firmware but once i get my phone in download mode, Smart Swtich cant recognize my phone. Here we are now, I can use my phone, but I cant open the gallery app to see my photos, I cant turn off nfc in the settings, I have both DRK and Dm-Verity Verification Failed msg in recovery and I get the green Android is starting screen every time I restart the phone. Any help would be a miracle xD
I forgot to mention this, but before flashing the firmware, I forgot to reinstall some bloatware/Samsung apps that came with the, it might be related. I did back them up with titanium backup tho.
Some specs:
SM-N910W8 (Bell), I unlocked it and use it with Fido
