Try HD widgets from the play store. You can customize the entire flip clock, make it transparent and it looks like the HTC clock

not possible at all, you could make the alt image change to a different color when you drag an icon over it but that's all.

We only got a lite sense. So nearly none of the htc widgets. Feel robbed myself by that.
Afaik you'll need a full sense custom Rom for the widgets.
