Ok so I was flashing the Axura 2.0.5 rom and I didnt see anything happening, so I got anxious and did something incredibly stupid, I pulled the battery. Now in the process i believe that i pulled the battery at the time the internal sd was being rewritten. At this point my phone will boot but will get stuck at the vibrant screen. I can get into download mode but I am unable to get into clockwork recovery (if I could then i'd just flash my nandroid backup). I've tried using odin v 1.0 and 1.30 to no avail. I'm using the 512 pit file and the t959uvjfd.tar files to try and reinstall and go back to stock. However when I do this my screen displays Applying Muti-csc, instaling muti csc. When I try to use odin I am able to see my phone in com9 but am unable to do anything with it aside from get into download mode. I would greatly appreciate any help anyone could give me. I have also tried to use the command propt and ADB to try and get this to work but I get the error of no device found.

What happens when you try to get into recovery? If you've borked a rom Install you can *usually* recover from it as nothing is really permanent in the phones memory.
When I try and get into recovery (I assume you mean clockworkmod) I select reinstall packages and I get the following error " E; cant open /sdcard/update.zip (no such file or directory) installation aborted.
I am only able to access stock recovery.

Okay well you aren't completely out of luck, Ive had that before on my Fascinate, try to redownload the update.zip file for CWM and try again. Sometimes that fixes it for me *for some odd reason*
The problem is that I can't get into CWM recovery, only stock recovery, also how would I push update.zip if I cant get any where with odin?

If you have a card reader of some sort then you can mount your Micro SD card on your PC and do it like that, or if you have another Android phone then you can use it to mount the Micro SD card, just swap em. download the update.zip and drop it on the root of the card then in the stock recovery try and flash it.
My problem is i dont know how to access the root files right now, i am unable to do anything on the phone aside from access stock recovery
I am currently attempting this method "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=817186" but nothing is happening with odin i am only seeing that odin has recognized the device but is stuck at "setupconnection" using odin v1.30
does anyone have a copy of the update.zip file to use to unpack clockwork?
I thought the update.zip had to be on the internal SD to work.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
i think this is it
also I think I have to get it on the internal SD card but I'm not sure how to go about doing that seeing as how I have no access to anything but the recovery menu and odin which fails to make a connection. I get the yellow port but nothing happens beyond that.
Yeah you've got a true problem there I'm not sure what to do about that sorry man
Still flashing , thanks to odin & tw
out of curiousity is it possible to remove the internal sd card and mount inside a card reader to add or edit files?
Im not sure there is an actual removable chip as much as its a part of the phones memory
Still flashing , thanks to odin & tw
it was worth a shot, how would yall go about talking to t-mobile so that they would provide a new phone with out me having to pay 600ish for a new phone
Well there is an external SD card in the phone but as for the Internal memory that is NOT on an SD card, its a packaged chip not a removable media
any other thoughts about how i might use odin or the sdk to access my files on the root folders? so that i could insert the zip file?

I'm not sure about that I mean you voided the warranty I guess you could tell them its messed up and hope they don't figure out what you did but its on you, I think you might just have to bite down and take the heat
Still flashing , thanks to odin & tw
is there really any way for them to tell that i've rooted the phone and what happened, normally dont they just check to see if the phone has physical damage and water damage?
They refurbish phones there is no way they give out new phones on replacements I mean hell you could end up with one I had three months ago lol but maybe they won't check who knows but either way its a gamble
Still flashing , thanks to odin & tw
After installing a ROM and rebooting the phone everything seemed to work fine. The only problem is that it I can not install any programs because it thinks that I have no space available.
Now I did not backup my system... I do have an older backup on my laptop... but I can not install clockwork because there is no space.
please help!
Thanks in Advance!
it might be a problem with the ROM.
ODIN back to stock, then flash that same rom again, if its still there, contact the DEV and tell him, because its their fault.
If it gets fixed with re-flash something went wrong while flashing and that happened.
What ROM did you install? Was it ODEX or DEODEX?
I agree with the above post, if an ODIN doesn't solve the problem, it sounds like a problem with the rom, but a little more info on your situation wouldn't hurt.
Thanks for the input... I hope to resolve this before tomorrow! The ROM was Bionix Fusion
I am new to this and probably should have researched a little more. lol
Ok I have downloaded the ODIN3 v1.00
How do I ODIN back to stock?
I have the Samsung Vibrant,
Having the same issue when running Odin with Eugene_2E_JK2_Froyo ...I ran Odin to fix a brick and didn't know the history of the phone. This is the only tar that will boot the phone all the way up, but I get the 0.00 available space error too. I tried stock and almost get a full boot up, but then goes black before going to main screen... I've tried many different combos including T959UVJFD.tar + s1_odin_20100512 pit , 512 pit + T959UVJI6, T959JL5, etc...
suggestions?
The ROM itself seems nice... I like the changes I've seen. For some reason it does not recognize the space that is available on the SD card as space for Applications. I've read a post somewhere about repartitioning the SD card in ODIN. ROM manager is s pretty much useless without clockwork recovery installed.... can not install it without space available. I tried repartitioning in ODIN but would not do it... is this something that could work? Maybe I am doing something else wrong,... or any other suggestions?
At this point I will be happy to go back to factory settings then start over...

I agree... This thread would probably get more attention in the development section, but I may be wrong. I will keep trying things and let you know if I come up with something...
Actually now I am having the same problem... Went back to the original using ODIN now when the phone boots up it goes to a blank screen and will not go any further!

Okay... YAY!!! I got it working! Here's how!
I want to note that every time I would Flash the phone with ODIN when the phone would reboot it would fail to wipe the data! This was not a fix that I found on purpose but it did work for me:
I flashed the file EUGENE373_SamsungS_Froyo_PDA
Now that file is for the Vibrant i9000. Not mine
So after that I re-tried the original one that I stated above,.... then it worked! I did notice that it did NOT fail to wipe the data!
So relieved!

Thanks for posting your resolution in the event this happens to someone else down the line. Glad you got it up and running.
Yup that is the true stock firmware... try this, it might help and it might not? when you boot your phone and it loads up, format your internal and external sdcard. (back up first) then reboot.... see if that helps. if not, odin the stock rom again. right now i'm shooting at flies with a BB gun so it is worth a try anyway...... and i'll try and research it for ya......
oops i didnt know you found a way....my bad. glad you got it working!!!!
So is that the way to fix it then? I just want to know if anyone else has tried it with no problem before i do it. Also, will you be able to flash back to stock?
I flashed the files that were included with the ODIN package and i now don't have any memory for applications also is the only way to fix this issue by using ODIN again or has someone found another method?
Did you use OCLF at any time previously?

I tried voodoo for the first time and couldn't get past the vibrant screen i then used the odin package the tmobile default files and got to the tmobil boot screen but the screen goes black and nothing happens my hard ware keys were on but that's it so then i used eugenes package based off the tmobile leak and that's where i'm at now it works but no application memory available.
so i want to see if i can just use ODIN with the file that is up a couple of posts to get my app memory back
How much available app space are we suppose to have?
So I know the phone has 2GB of app space, but when I totally wipe everything and go back to stock, it says only about 1.7GB.
go to settings, then sd card and phone storage
scroll all the way down to application storage
how much available space is it suppose to have under stock conditions?

Can you post the EUGENE373_SamsungS_Froyo_PDA file? I flashed Eugene_2E_JK2 Froyo, and then tried flashing the original JFD Stock Rom, but it gave me a black screen after the Galaxy S screen. Also, it didn't wipe the data for me.
has anyone fixed this? i have the same problem im stuck
Long story short (details here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1318263), my phone has been stuck in a perpetual boot cycle, despite all the help others have provided me.
Well, I've gotten to the point where I was able to flash CWM and access it's recovery menu. This is a big victory, as most of the time when I try to access the recovery menu, I get "deleting cryption meta data" and a reboot. I was able to mount the internal SD card (USB storage) to my computer using CWM's menu, and to my dismay, it was completely empty, save for the error log generated by CWM. No boot partition, no anything.
Does anyone have the original contents of the internal SD card dumped (contents as shipped)? Similar to this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1060497). I figure anything is worth a shot now. Much appreciated.

Thanks for responding, but I'm well beyond that point, as noted in the other thread. Among other things, I've already:

1. Flash Entropy512's Return/Unbrick to Stock, Kernel + non-rooted system package using Odin3 v1.85,
Tried it with the PDA + modem package at the same time, PDA without modem, and vice versa. No dice.
2. After flashing to stock, I can sometimes do the SGH-I777_ClockworkMod-Recovery_5.0.2.3. From there, I sometimes can access CWM, wich I then proceed to "Wipe Dalvik Cache", "Wipe Cache Partition", and "Wipe Data/Factory Reset". Usually after I reboot after this, I get same boot loop at the logo, but then it says "deleting cryption meta data" when I try to access the recovery menu.
I've tried flashing back to stock and then to CWM, and the only selecting "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" and then rebooting, but that doesn't help either.
3. I've tried: flash PIT (I777UCKH7.pit), PDA (PDA.tar) and PHONE(UCKH7_modem.tar) at the same time, with REPARTITION, AUTO REBOOT, and RESET TIME checked in Odin.
After doing so, this will usually allow me to reach the stock recovery/e3. If I select "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" from there and reboot, I will still be in a boot loop. Then if I try to get back into the recovery menu, I get "deleting cryption meta data".
4. I followed this:
XXKI3
Android 2.3.5
This original (unmodified) Wipe Package with new bootloader has: PDA: XXKI3| Modem/phone: XXKI3| CSC: OXAKI3
Download: http://www.multiupload.com/NJV6PR87Y3
These packages have the new bootloader removed and repacked with the old ones so you can safely reset the binary counter with a Jig.
I still get a boot loop.
5. If I flash the i9100 ROM, I can enter download mode either by holding down + power, or using the jig that started it all. If I then flash Entropy512's Return/Unbrick to Stock, Kernel + non-rooted system package, I still get a bootloop.
6. I did this: I found this 100% stock i9100 rom with all four parts needed for a complete Odin flash.
PIT select u1_02_20110310_emmc_EXT4.pit
PDA select CODE_I9100XXKI3_CL577579_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.m d5
PHONE select MODEM_I9100XXKI3_REV_02_CL1062028.tar.md5
CSC select GT-I9100-CSC-MULTI-OXAKI3.tar.md5
Same boot loop issue.

Have you tried getting into download mode after successfully getting into stock 3e recovery(step #3) ?
Just on the off chance getting 3e recovery working might mean more of the framework needed for a successful odin flash is in place. Just a thought.

As mentioned previously, most of the time, stock recovery is inaccessible. It'll state "deleting cryption meta data" and then reboot into a loop.

So, does no one have the contents of their internal SD card from a stock image?
I don't think it's possible to drag and drop android os and it work.

Much thanks if you're able to get around to it!
Android commander will be able to pull everything needed. Unfortunately I just realized I would be uploading my personal files. And if this does work, everyone would have access to:
Google account, my programs and login info, pictures...... just not good.
I've been meaning to go back to stock to try a few things out. Looks like I'll be doing it sooner than I thought. Running titanium backup now. Once I get back to bare bone unrooted stock I'll upload that.
Hopefully it'll be done tonight and finish uploading through the night.

Sheesh this is taking awhile. While bored out of my mind, and it's 2am, I noticed in the transfer log every once and awhile there are folders that it says can't be created because they don't exist and files that it can't copy because it says permission denied. I also noticed the program can see that my phone is not rooted.
I obviously haven't used this program before. I'll keep the copy of that transfer and will now root the phone using Entropy512's method and see if root will allow the program to transfer everything. It definitely won't get posted tonight as I'm way too tired. Hopefully I will be able to have it all uploaded tmrw. Or at least uploading, first transfer was 1.49gb. It'll take me a bit to get that uploaded.

Don't want you to stay up late for this! Just do what you can when you can get around to it, I'll keep trying to use ODIN to fix my phone.
No problem. Seems like it's going to be trickier than expected to get everything off the phone. May end up trying root manager. In the meantime here's the files (minus the parts that wouldn't transfer) that I did pull off (stock not rooted). Give you an idea of what it will be while I try getting the rest off.

And I have two (hopeful) answers for you!
The first is (what should be) a full pull of the entire phone:
http://goo.gl/VihRa
The second is a nand backup done through CWM:
http://goo.gl/B6vey
Keep in mind with the nand backup I used Entropy512's kernel (DD_11032011) to get CWM. So by going that route it will give you a yellow triangle at boot screen, not sure if you've been trying to avoid that.
And for the record, Wow that took way too long! And caused me to be on unmodified stock and un-signed in to sync with google for over two days so that I could get the info off I needed without inadvertently giving you my account sign in info or apps, pics, etc.
Really hope it helps. I'd do it all over again just for the fun of learning new things, sorry, you're not that special to be reason enough.

I HAD nand backups. Tried one but it still kept looping. Then without realizing i erased the internal SD so I lost them.
Not sure why but i'm receiving the following errors on the nand backup
! D:\Downloads\clockworkmod.rar: CRC failed in clockworkmod\backup\2011-11-07.06.29.39\boot.img. The file is corrupt
! D:\Downloads\clockworkmod.rar: CRC failed in clockworkmod\backup\2011-11-07.06.29.39\data.ext4.tar. The file is corrupt
! D:\Downloads\clockworkmod.rar: CRC failed in clockworkmod\backup\2011-11-07.06.29.39\system.ext4.tar. The file is corrupt
That file is just a clockworkmod backup folder with the nand in it. Extract that folder and copy it to the backup folder on your phone.
With cwm you'll have adb access. Might want to look up what things you can do with adb.
Wish I could be of more help. Pretty much everything I can think of is included in this thread.
I guess let it be overnight without a battery and see what it does in the morning.

hmm well that's quite the predicament you've got yourself into... Odin I'd usually last resort. Having said that I've khyber had any problems studying my phone with it. Id first make sure that the recovery your using I'd for your phone, it may seem silly but you will find that hours if redoing something well not work because of the smallest things. In cwm you're going to want to error your cache, at least but since you're having so many problems, try reformatting everything, and i mean really reformatting (did an install of a2sd go wrong) to get your positions right (although Odin should do this. Make sure Odin is actually doing things). And i would regain from randomly flashing things. If you flashed an i9000 ROM then use that tread but that is the only time you should use it.

The problem for me is that i'm getting those errors when i try to unzip clockwordmod.rar. I am using Winrar.
I'm trying to do every suggestion I can see. I do have a question though, just so I definitely understand, when using the 1-click or the return back to stock files, they should put EVERYTHING back to stock right? I'm talking about all mounts, bootloaders, kernel, and every single file that android uses correct?

I just reread the OP original post and noticed that there's a slight difference between our issues. They originally stated that they could get into their lock screen for a few seconds. I cannot. I get the Samsung Galaxy SII boot screen for about 6 seconds and then it goes off then back to the GSII boot screen. And that's the loop it stays in.
Weird. I'll try reuploading it. Maybe by the end of the day or tmrw before I can. Dr's appointment and windows decided to quit booting for me. Running out of hard drives here, so frustrating. Should've hit up some black Friday deals.

Hi, i'm really new here, but here is my issue:
So I love my Galaxy Note II. It's fantastic. The only issue is now.. i can't use it.
My phone model is sch-i605 (verizon)
The Story: (in as much detail as i can remember)
1. Ran out of internal Memory
2. Bought a 64 GB sandisk Microsd.
3. Found out i had to root my phone in order to switch the internal & external sd's. O.K.
4. Rooted via Odin3 v1.85 (old i know) but O.K.
5. Messed around a little with Titanium Backup (which i didnt know how to work) as well as a File Manager (which i also didnt know how to work)
6. Downloaded triangle away
7. Dragged and dropped all of the files in "Phone" from my pc into the microsd.
8. tried to boot from microsd using app2sd, didnt work. tried multiple times. No go.
9. decided it would be better to factory restore it all, even if it meant losing data. So that i could do this like the vids. (i didnt really care so long as i get my 64 gb of memory)
10. Do a little reading, and then decide to use triangle away to get rid of any tick marks...
11. Right after pressing the "OK" to reset the ticks, My phone locks me out saying: "System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone"
12. Tried to find the right "stock" file to try to flash via odin to totally restore my phone (doesnt matter if it gets rid of the triangle tick or not, i just wanna be able to use my phone)
13. Been at this all day and it's not only annoying but beginning to freak me out.
14. Can anyone help me?
15. My worries: I cannot get it back to working order & I was hoping to be able to restore it to Warranty covering condition, guess not?
I have tried A LOT of different things, but this is just insane and really wants me to die.
HEEEEELLLPP
Take out your sd card and put the phone into download mode (volume down + home + power) I assume you already did this.
Download the stock Rom and Odin (I use 3.07). Stick the Rom in the pda area and flash. This should take about 10 minutes.
If you have already done this make sure that the stock Rom file is good (there were a couple of bad ones that didn't flash to stock). Otherwise there may be something up with u r internal memory.
If you have twrp already you can load any custom rom onto your external sdcard and install from your external card.
Hope that helps.

Well, i've done all of this, but i think i've yet to find a proper stock rom for my phone. I've used samsung-updates.com but that one didnt work at all. If this is the case, i was wondering if someone can point me to a proper stock rom for my phone. (Verizon Galazy Note II)
Also, i do not have twrp.

Also i realized i didnt unlock the bootloader... so that might've been my issue?
Hrmm, sorry but i've already tried all the mirrors of the stock rom that 'imnuts' kindly put out. i'll give it another shot with Odin v3.07.

That is definitely your issue. You have to unlock to flash a custom recovery and then to flash custom roms.
If you are trying to get back to stock, have you looked here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2040264

this one did it for me guys!!! THANK YOU hahaha
i think it wasnt working for me because I wasnt using the alternate links on that page. haha thank you so much!
A few hours ago I tried to do a factory reset on my Ace, and since then the device has been constantly rebooting. I get the Samsung flashing loop, then a second of the stock Orange rom that came with the Ace (haven't rooted or flashed a new ROM on the ace. Only installed CWM recovery about a month ago in preparation for it but never actually got around to rooting) and the whole things starts over with the flashing Samsung picture.
tried to go to CMW and do a factory reset again from there but to no avail. tried to do mount USB storage to allow the PC access to the SD but nothing happens (PC doesn't react). Tried to go to as the FAQ suggested but it just shows me a black screen with one line - LK (Little Kernel) something and then proceeds on to its "normal" boot loop.
I tried browsing around the forum for a while and saw a few recommendations, mainly rooting and installing a new ROM or installing a stock ROM with Odin, however there are two problems
A)I have no idea how to use Odin, and I didnt root the system because I never could choose a proper ROM. was worried I might mess up seeing how I never actually tried rooting or flashing.
B)Seeing how the phone wont boot, and CMW wont let me mount the SD to the computer, is there any way to get mount that SD without swapping it into another phone?
What should I do? Is there anyway to fix this?

Is your phone s5830 or s5830i?
Choose the stock rom appropriate for your device and flash via Odin. That's your only choice and btw Odin doesn't require root.Check the guides to get back to stock Rom for detailed information.

Sometimes the phone goes into download mode but the screen doesn't show anything.Connect your phone to PC and try getting into Download mode with the key combination while booting up,if Odin recognizes your phone, flash the stock Rom.
