[Q] MMS not working - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

A search of the forums for this issue predates the S4 and also talked of APN settings. I did a Google search on that and when I click on 'Access Point Names", it crashes. Also, there are two "Access Point Names" entries on the list which seems like there should be one but I'm only speculating on that. I can send and receive text just fine but attaching images seems to be an issue, definitely sending and I'm pretty sure receiving.
Anyway, does anyone have a suggestion on what I can do to fix this issue? I'm running Hyperdrive RLS7 on a Verizon Galaxy S4 (SCH I-545) btw. Thanks.

MMS Woes, this can't be right.... can it?

This is without doubt the most hassle I have ever had setting up picture messaging.
Ok here goes..
I'm with T-Mobile UK, I have called them up and asked to have MMS capability turned on to which they said all I needed to do was send an MMS and it would automatically enable it for me. I checked my APN settings to make sure they were good to go and went for it.
Sending.....
I don't have a very good signal so at first I thought that might have been the issue. I hung about for an hour or so though, making some funny shapes etc trying to get a sign of the MMS sending.
Sending.....
I trawled the internet looking for any settings that I may have missed out. Meanwhile I found a window where the signal was OK (3bars). I searched my entire lunchbreak until I found that the Galaxy SII doesn't have any support from T-Mobile regarding MMS settings so you need to go directly to the Samsung support page. I had the MMS settings configuration file sent and installed.
Sending.....
I deleted the file that was apparently "sending" and started from scratch. Watched it for a good 10 mins.
Sending....
I turned on the data on my phone, so that I could check the internet and low and behold it sent.
What is going on? Is this normal behaviour for the Galaxy? Any and all MMS compatible phones I have ever had my hands on automatically enable data in order to send and recieve MMS pictures. I made sure that the auto recieve function was on as I couldn't believe what I had witnessed. The Desire that I had before the Galaxy worked fine on it's own, I only needed to actually enable the data connection properly when I wanted to browse the internet or check my email.
Is this the case or have I missed something? Seems like a massive mistake from Samsung if that is the case.
Any help would be appreciated... if it's needed
Anyone? Really annoying this lol.

At&t users with galaxy s2 international, mms problem need help please....

I am in the US and have a international galaxy s2 on AT&T...My phone is fully rooted, and I am currently running Batista70 FOXHOUD EDITION 2.1 but i cant seem to get my mms on a consistant basis....I have tried several roms so I am pretty sure it isnt that, I can send mms and have a great 3g signal but most of the time I cant recieve my mms...I can browse the internet and download from the market just fine but there again I cant seem to get the mms to recieve...It seems like on a fresh rom install i get the mms fine but then after a day or so I go back to not being able to recieve one at all...I have tried different apn settings and have made sure I am on the right AT&T data plan (HSDPPB) as mentioned in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1109983) and I still cant get anything consistant on RECIEVING! It has really been agravating and I would love to figure out what I can do to get this working right, I dont know if it is the modem software??? Is it my apn settings??? I have tried different things and still nothing so any help would greatly be apprecitated and I have noticed alot of other people in threads seem to be having this problem so if we can figure it out I would love to make a thread to help out others...thanks in advance...
did you talk to your provider, they may have adjust or refresh your account settings from their end.
That's very weird actually, i used to have issues sending MMS but i never had any issues receiving them.

i have talked to at&t and finally got them to change my account and settings so I know for 100% that I am on the right rate plan and settings......
I to was having problems with MMS on ATT but my problem was sending them not receiving though. After I was sure I had the correct apn setting a customer services specialist had me do this. Try opening your phone dial pad and entering *5005*7672*+13123149810# then the green phone button. This is suppose to reset your sms/mms setting back with the network. Long and behold it fixed my problem of sending mms.
just to double check something - are you leaving your data (edge or 3g) enabled? disabling the phone's data connection will prevent mms from coming through.

[Q] No MMS on Galaxy 5.8 with Straight Talk?

Hi there-
My wife recently bought a Galaxy Mega 5.8 and we just hooked her up on Straight Talk today. Everything works so far, except that she cannot receive MMS messages. Sending works fine, she just can't receive any incoming pictures, the phone says the download failed. I've tried using the APN settings we got from ST, as well as another set I found only, as well as the APN settings from my ST Galaxy S2, without success. Anyone else run into this, and any ideas on getting it to work?
Thanks in advance-
i have the exact same problem.
anyone have settings that work? i've tried 5 different sets of settings nothing works for me
I think all Mega's are experience the same thing. I have the 6.3 AT&T US version and have the same problem. the website for Straight Talk to set up the APN's said that some phones will not get mms. don't know why.

Verizon Note 2 MMS not working

Whether on WiFi or 4G, text messages work fine, but sending an MMS (picture) i get nothing, sending or receiving. All the settings seem to be correct but still nothing. [Attachment(s) text_0.txt removed] Error

You guys are my last hope. I've Googled and searched and talked to Verizon and I can't find a solution.
When texting specific iPhone users on att I constantly get a message
"Attachment(s) text_0.txt removed] Attachment(s) removed]"
They, on the other end sometimes get a text from my number or it will switch to "myphonenumber"@vtext.com creating a new conversation on their phone. I can find no correlation other than if they send me an mms it always comes through.
Any suggestions? Your help would be greatly appreciated by my mother[emoji1].
Rooted stock sch-i545 on nc5
Never touched apn settings.
-Edit to get error to appear
Sent from my Verizon NC5 Galaxy S4 w/ GEL and Xposed
Also wanted to add that this isn't exclusive to my stock rooted nc5. This was happening on Jellybean as well.

Will happen no matter what if you've got a current iPhone working through Verizon. For whatever reason, their 'sms' to mail gateway at Verizon is creating MMS of every text. That happens no matter how short the message is (could be a single character) and occurs even when we're talking vanilla ASCII text. It's a Verizon problem with Apple phones, evidently starting with iOS6. It's also not a problem unique to Android clients. The same thing happens to many users of Outlook and other client software.

Governments have risen and fallen since I last posted in this thread haha.
Her and I are both 2 phones past this problem but it disappeared when she upgraded to a newer iPhone. Hopefully if anyone else is still having this problem they'll know it's a Verizon issue. Thanks
