I wanted to disable the googlenow / google search swipe up launch from the bottom bar.
The reason - to use swipepad for another gesture.
I have seen apps in the market that disable the launch of the google app, but the ring still shows up and cannot be used for another app.
Can anyone suggest a way of doing it ?
Thanks
Which phone are you using and are you on stock or a custom ROM?

The Slim Bean ROM that I use can set multiple ring targets to whatever you want.

Root your phone or live with it are the only options you have unfortunately.

You can also modify the framework so you can use the bar on any ICS ROM. You can also flash any ICS ROM which has tablet mode enabled

hi all...
I have found a very good app that is helping me a lot using the phone with big screen. PIE CONTROL. You can have quick lateral acces bar to home button, back, drop down notifications, and wahtever you want. At the distance of your finger... not 5 inches away...
Very helpfull and free. Ideal for note2.
perhaps u can include play store link??
also u might wanna try this out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150 LMT launcher. pie style as well
You can try LMT Launcher too. It can be found within XDA.
Free.
And has more functions.

Next Launcher Galaxy S3 and Note 2 is great...
Amazing application! Never used something that good as Pie control!

its a rip off from LMT launcher with a few tweaks. but hey what can you do.
I think it works a bit better than LMT though
Sv: Must have App! Pie Control
I use LMT and pie controls are awesome for this phone

Hi devilcatz,
How does the LMT launcher work on the N7105?

Yep, you just need to have root.

Pie control seems more polished and responsive than LMT. I have been using LMT before PA pie appeared on my Galaxy Nexus.

I got the app too and I'm really happy with it, the back button is ok but the menu button is too far away on this phone. I have it set up just for home, back and menu.
I have just one problem, though: the home and task switcher buttons perform the action instantly, whereas the back and menu buttons have a ~1sec delay between the button press and the action. I haven't seen any complaints about this on the web, is it just me or do others have this problem as well?
Seems faster for me.
For, lmt seems to take less ram (10 vs 40 in pie control). That's just for me. It also allows me to open from the bottom of the screen. This option was not available for pie (at least for the version I used)

I am wondering if there is a current ROM available that has PIE AND the ability to remap the buttons on it instead of the default (menu, recent, search, etc).
I believe it was Paranoid Android that had that feature but it looks like that thread isn't being updated. I also tried PACman ROM but didn't see any way to change the buttons.
Thanks in advance!

Just Google LMT. Download the apk. If your rooted, install it on any rom you want. You will have the options to change the button assignments. I'm running it on the Eclipse touch wiz rom. But like hexitnow said it's baked in to Hyperdrive.

without any rom or root, cant we change them ??
Probably not.
I've only seen these to be changed when using custom roms with that feature. They also allow 1, 3, or 5 icon layouts. And the option to disable it.
