Hi guys.. i have installed Omega ROM v4.0 but i hate the notifications bar
http://i.imgur.com/yPDOt.jpg
it's possible change notifications bar with toggle button?? (similar AOKP)???
I have installed Apex launcher but the notifications bar not changed
Sorry for my language!
The notification bar is built into the ROM and cannot easily be changed such as the launcher; Android simply does not expect you to.
Over time tweaked and enhanced notification bars might pop up for flashing through CWM, but they usually are rom-dependent.
Thank you!
You sure can. Look here...

I know what you mean. I came from Lord Clockans Ice Cold Sandwich rom which had all those options. I miss them too! Unfortunately, at the moment nothing like that is available (to my knowledge). It's the price we pay for getting a device as soon as its released. The good news is that given time all those options will likely be available on the S3 too. Keep an eye out in the themes and apps forum.
Good!

when it is available ( CM9 ) ???

Are there any sites or forums that list add on's and tweaks for the Android Notification Center, or ICS in general? As opposed to searching for one in general, is there anything that is compiled already that I can read through and about the tweaks and add ons?
PS - telling what these CAPTCHA pics say is getting to be ridiculous. I'm beginning to feel like I'm not human.

Would you rather this place be spammed to death?
Anyway, I would also like an answer to this (assuming you mean the status bar where the notifications are displayed). Every so-called replacement status bar (e.g. Super Status Bar) locks up my phone and forces a hot boot (not a full reboot, it's weird).

Lol I don't mind the security...I just can't read the damn letters most of the time and it takes 4 or 5 tries to get them right.
I've tried notification toggles so far and that's not bad. Try that one yet?

SGS2 - JB 4.1.2 GB27
SGS4 - JB 4.2.2 MF9
I updated to JB 4.1 today, and ever since everything has mostly been flawless except for one odd bug where the transparent bar will stay backlit after my phone is put to sleep. Does anyone know what could be causing the problem?
I did have the Illumination Bar Notification app installed, but deactivating it doesn't seem to help.

Yeah this awesome app is not compatible with jellybean, hope they will fix soon.
I found the problem, and will try to work around it
Check out the apps thread for more details and what you can do about it now

I found a few threads with the same issues here and here, but those are still unanswered. So, I'm creating a new thread to know to fix this problem soon.
I want to know how to hide the 2 apps from the notifications from the lockscreen, but not from the actual status bar notification.
The 2 apps, an battery saver and 3g network monitor are essential in the notification but I don't like it being shown all the time in the lockscreen. It also kinda blocks any new notification of other apps like fb, whatsapp, etc.
Any help is appreciated.
Attached the screenshot of the lockscreen.
PS: My first post here so plz let me know if I miss anything.
Go to settings>apps chose the app you want and uncheck show notifications
Then it won't be shown in the notification bar either.

You can disable all notifications from lockscreen but you can't disable specific one unfortunately
That's all what I know

True that. I would like to see it in the notification but not in the lockscreen..

Ok. thanks for the info. Lets hope there would be some patch released in the future by Google.
There is one more bug in the lockscreen in the new Lollipop as one has to swipe-up and then use pattern-lock to unlock the phone. Earlier we have to use pattern-lock only and no swipe-up.

I would rather say that's wanted behavior.
Is there any way we can actually disable the notch, I mean literally make it black and move the status bar below the notch , just like on normal smartphones?. Will that be possible with some mod in the future,or does such a thing already exist?
That is a nice solution but they would have to write code to disable the touch completely in that area and a lot of work will be involved in case an app tries to fill that area. Xiaomi doesn't likes to work, and they create more bugs with every fixes. I am not even mentioning how odd that will look, Xiaomi doesn't likes to work but they do care about the design and want their devices to be elegant. I have never never seen such a great looking cheap casing ever in my life, even Samsung can't achieve that.

Hi I'm ordering a poco, and the fact that notification icons do not show near notch is intriguing. Does hiding the notch resolve this problem ? Can you please post a screenshot? Thanks

I still don't see what the big deal is. You can see the icons if you slide down the notification bar. It's a little inconvenient but not at all frustrating or unacceptable. Sure they can fix that to some extent in the future through an update but it definitely is not a deal breaker. Using an IOS device for an Android User, That's Frustrating.

I didn't receive my poco yet, does it have a notification preview for the lock screen? Coz I put my phone on the office and see details of incoming notification, if each time I get a notification I need to unlock and slide, that's a big deal for me

There's no issue with lock screen Notifications. You can use Settings>Lock Screen & password>Wake Lock screen for notifications.

Is it possible to get full screen in YouTube ? Like play the video in the notch area too, like in iPhone X?
Raised my voice to POCO on status bar thing,
https://twitter.com/jaimani/status/1036965116053311493?s=20
Let's see what they do.
No notification on status bar due to the notch is realy frustrating. Hardly 4 days of usage, I miss those notification icons on status bar. Its like they skipped step 1 for achieving god_knows_what. I have literally started hating the phone in 4 days itself. Trust me, its beyond frustrating. Its like you went back to Symbian OS -_-. How can they miss out on such a basic and addictive utility?!

Probably for the same reason they waste time to badly redesign Android's user interface instead of just using the standard Google layout.
At that point, that's the only reason I'm not buying this phone, until we see AOSP ports.
Would have been a no brainer if it was shipped with Android One instead of MIUI.
Well according to me, this might be the best way to overcome the notification icons problem.

I have exactly the same query. On checking several posts on internet, i have realized that 'Fullscreen' doesn't imply 'Include the notch' for notched phones. Am i wrong?
If there's only a way to include notch in all apps(playing video and games too) rather than excluding it. Seems like inclusion of notch as a part of screen for the complete UI in Poco would give a much better experience.
