boot loop xperia mini - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Using Framework Tool I change the animations and applied it to current framework I didn’t replace it. Now I’m stuck with a boot loop. My device is Sony Ericsson Xperia mini (ST15i | 4.1.B.0.587). I have a backup of my system folder and I tried to replace the framework-res.apk using fastboot but I Couldn’t I get this error massage “error: device not found” (I’m sure that I have connected my devices and the LED is blue too) (when I run the command ‘fastboot devices’ I get ‘BX902VFMGZ&ZLP fastboot’ ). I have installed CWM but I can’t ever reboot in to that. How do I recover my device from this boot loop. Please help! (I don’t know much about command lines or any advance things please be kind enough to answer in simple way as possible as you can, I really appreciate that). And I tried

1.Download the correct firmware file for your phone at the bottom of the post.
2.Make sure Flashtool is installed.
3.Place downloaded firmware file(.ftf format) in Flashtool\firmwares(by default C:\Program Files\Flashtool) folder.
4.Start Flashtool.
5.Click the lightning button and choose Flashmode.
6.Firmware should appear there, if you have it in correct folder. Choose it.
7.Turn off your phone, connect USB cable to computer, then press Volume Down button and connect USB cable to your phone.
8.Flashtool should detect your phone and starts flashing. Follow the instructions.
9.When it says „Flashing completed“, unplug your phone and turn it on.
note: plug usb cable with volume down to flashtool(you get mesaGE "DEVICE CONNECTED IN FLASH MODE" IN LOG) and flash the firmware from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27376024&postcount=3

Type:fastboot flash boot boot.img
Disconnect the usb cable.
Reboot.
ENJOY!
To enter CWM press the power on-off key once or twice as soon as the text se logo gets brighter.

Installing ClockworkMod Recovery

Hi,
I'm on the process of installing ClockWorkMod Recovery, stupid of me i forgot to enable USB Debugging option on my phone. Now I'm stuck on Command Prompt saying...
C:\Fastboot>fastboot flash boot recovery-nozomi.img
< waiting for device >
It has been sitting for more than 5 minutes as I am typing now. Should I disconnect the USB cord? Would this action brick my phone?
Sorry for my stupidity!

Hi soulhackereborn!
Sorry for the late reply! Sorry the forum prevented me from posting the URL as I am just a new user here.
"To prevent spam on the XDA forums, ALL new users prevented from posting outside links in their messages. After approximately 10 posts, you will be able to post outside links. Thank you for understanding!"
Anyway the tutorial says (copy&paste):
Use the computer for downloading the CWM file from here.
Then, on the same computer download fastboot from here.
Extract fastboot on C:\ drive.
Then, copy the downloaded “ecovery-nozomi.img” file to the Fastboot folder from your computer.
Now you must connect the phone in fastboot mode with the computer.
In order to do so you must plug the USB cord to the PC, then on your phone press and hold the Volume Up button and while doing this connect the USB cable to your Xperia S.
Up next, on the PC click on “Start -> Accessories -> on Command prompt right click -> Run as administrator”.
The command prompt window will now be displayed.
Now, enter the following commands (press enter after each one): “cd c:\Fastboot” and “fastboot flash boot recovery-nozomi.img”.
CWM will now be flashed.
In the end the “finished / OKAY” message should be displayed.
In command prompt enter “fastboot reboot”.
Your handset should now reboot into ClockworkMod recovery.
Remove the USB cord and disconnect the Xperia S from the computer.

everything seems to be good in the tutorial though..
But what is it a kernel, rom or an CWM image file ???
if still it says waiting for device then here's a couple things you should check :-
1) Fastboot ie; S1 Boot driver installed or no
2) Switch off phone and connect it to the PC via usb holding Volume + button (this is fastboot mode)
3) Check does your device remain in fastboot mode or no i mean purple led light glows stays on continuously or no until u execute the command, if not reinstall the driver and try again
4) If everything well till now try flashing with the given commands without the quotes ie; fastboot flash boot recovery-nozomi.img

2. I understand this.
3. On my case, it's a blue LED lit steadily after doing step 2. I am using Sony Xperia S.

Usually <waiting for device> can show up when you don't have proper drivers installed. Double check them if you haven't done so.

Try re -installing the drivers again manually or let windows search over internet...

Yes ur rooted!!
Thanks!
I'm currently downloading Cyanogenmod ver 9.1. Hopefully it works! Thank you so much buddy! You have been very helpful! If I get problems on flashing CM9.1, i'll contact you , hehe
One of the reminders on isntalling CM9 is:
Make sure that your Xperia S is already running a rooted firmware, and that it has the ClockworkMod Recovery properly installed.
How do I know I have a rooted firmware? Do I still need to flash FTF file?
By the way, I am getting a boot loop from CWM recovery, I cant go to the homescreen, no option to turn off! It only reboots the CWM.
(Still downloading CM9 as of the moment)

Whatever Anyway thanks for help. I'm going to leave my phone turned on all night so it will totaly discharge and then i will try to charge it and put into flashmode. Maybe this will work. I'll post the results if i'll fix my xp.
Phone is working!
When i tried discharging phone, that didn't help so i gave my phone to my friends dad because he is a good phone technican, and fixer. So what he did? That was akward moment
1. When he conected phone to his pc (win xp) the computer detected my phone (my computer wasn't able to detect)
2. Then he just flashed some files. But not with Flashtool. He used program called SE2tools or something like that.
3. The phone booted up and now is working sucessfully

If you're boot loader is lockes you can use SUS then create the FTF file to flash with flashtool next time you need it.
If it's unlocked, use PCC to repair until the stage it ask you to connect the phonem then build the firmware FTF to flash with flashtool.

Dude your a bit confused.
The only thing you may need flashtoo is first step (Flash boot.img from .zip via Fastboot ) all the rest is done in CWM recovery.
I don't know who told you to drain your baterry, but do not ever flash anything with baterry less than 50 percent, prefferrably fully charged.
Flash stock first, copy the zip to your SD card, then follow steps 1-9+.
For step 1 you need to extract boot.img from the rom zip on your pc.
To enter CWM recovery (after you flashed the boot.img), while device is booting (Sony LOGO) press volume down every second or so untill you are in CWM.
To nevigate in CWM, select - home key or power, move down - volume down or menu key, move up - volume up, exit/return to previous menu - back key or select at the bottom of the menu.

I forgot to flash the boot.img and did full wipe even formatted the system. Rebooted the system without installing the ROM. Now, stuck at Sony Logo. (NOTE: During this I had the battery charged full)
To rectify the above issue, I tried to flash the boot.img through fastboot mode in Flashtool and install the Custom ROM through CWM. To connect to flashtool, the device should be switched off. Now, I cant switch off. I can only restart. Hence, I drained the battery completely and tried to connect to Flashtool. When I hold Volume Up key and connect to PC through USB, only red LED lights up. It is not connecting to Fastboot mode, also when holding Volume Down key and connect to PC through USB, only red LED lights up. It is not connecting to Flashmode.
Please help!
Thanks.

No you do not need to drain the baterry, nor do you need to shut down the phone.
In the link you have provided it shows you how to boot into fastboot via adb (Click 4).
Recharge your phone and follow the steps given there.

Turn the phone off, no need to drain battery, just press power + volume up until you feel 1 + 3 vibrations, open flashtool and connect in fastboot mode (volume up while connecting USB)
Do you see device connected in fasboot mode in flashtool log?
Did you install fastboot drivers from flashtool?
What is you windows version?
Got it Worked!

Now, please tell how to root from here (6.1.1.b.1.10 firmware) and install CWM and flash some new custom ROMs.

Hello arcsuser,
Thanks for your help,
I have downloaded the zip file as proposed.
unfortunately I was not able to install it because I don't have the root access on my tablet.
If there is a way to install the zip file without the recovery mode I'd be glad to know it.
if not, I will have to go through the process.
thanks again for your help.
let me know if there is a way without the root mode
:good:

U want to install it without root, i dont think thats possible,
Anyway have you try installing it as a normal apks? If it still doesnt install then i guess you really have to be rooted..
How about, get root, install apps, then unroot.. I dont think the apps are affected. Im not sure just give it a try

Actually I have now the same question than "OP" on the recovery mode. I have now rooted the device the "super user app" is available and activated.
but I still can't access the recovery mode. I have tried the key combination mentioned in your post to "OP". then I referred to the post from DooMLoRD "All the info you need before you begin" with the Xperia Z tablet where the recovery mode is described.
I have the sony screen displayed, then I press volume up, the boot is going the normal way.
I tried with the usb cable connected to the PC, then it goes directly to the Xperia logo.
I tried the normal reboot (one light falshing) and the hard reboot (3 lights flashing) I do not have the device vibrating like explained by DooMLoRD.
Is this the reasn ?
thanks for your help again.

Do you have the recovery installed? cause if not it will not work

I have downloaded and tried unsucessfully to flash the recovery tool.
I couldn't access the flash mode as described in the basics from DooMLoRD.
“while device is power OFF
Volume Up + USB cable connected to PC -> FASTBOOT MODE (BLUE LED will light up)“
I'm afraod I will need some tutorial to go through the steps of fast boot...
thanks
You don't need recovery to install the apps if you have root. Just unzip the file using root explorer. The unzipped file will show from the structure where the files have to go so just copy them to the corresponding folder on the tab using root explorer. (apps, and their associated odex file if there is one, will usually be in /system/app folder) Don't forget to set the permissions (rw-r--r-- for system apps and odex files), also using root explorer. Reboot and if they're gonna work as system apps they will...

Unbrick your hard bricked MI 4/ Mi 3

Recently while flashing alpha version of MIUI marshmallow on my Mi 4w, my phone got completely bricked. Complete brick in the sense, it won't turn on, neither charge nor show any led indication. This guide should work on other phones also.Let's start:-
1) Although it seems like your phone wont turn on, your phone is actually working, it's just it wont show anything on the screen(no display).
Make sure your phone is charged properly(it will charge even if the led doesn't show any indication).
2) Download and install Mi flash tool and then Fastboot file of your device. http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
3) Unzip the fastboot image, a folder containing flash all.bat should appear if not, extract the extracted file again. Winrar should work fine.
4) Now open Mi flash tool(as administrator) and select the fastboot folder from Mi flash using browse option and also select the proper fastboot script according to need.
Note: Flash_all.bat will completely erase your internal storage.
5) Now press volume down(-) and power key to enter into fastboot. Note: it won't show any visual whatsoever but it'll work.
6) Connect your phone to your pc. It should show various flash devices connected to your computer and those devices may continuosly connect and disconnect. If not it'll show QHUSUB_BULK install the driver using device manager.
7) On Mi flash tool, some device name should show on the devices list if not click refresh and try reconnecting the device. Note: If you dont have proper drivers installed on your pc, this procedure won't work.
8) Finally click on flash and flashing will start. It'll take some time. Once done it'll show operation completed successfully.
9) Finally boot your device using power key.
Brick has received QHSUSB_BULK simple. This is the normal and regular encounter. Hardbrick, you must check point.

How do I put the phone into fastboot mode if it is hard bricked? It won't turn on, I get no responce from phone. When I use method connecting test point to metal cover on mother board of phone usb connects to PC and MiFlash recognizes phone. Try to flash though and I get an error message. No matter what ROM I use, zipped, unzipped or tgz file. Can my phone be unbricked? What am I doing wrong? I have a Mi Max 64GB and am using HELIUM Roms. Please help. Error message is:
The filename, directory name, or volume label is incorrect.(0x8007007b: Open programmer "MPRG*.hex").
I have no clue. Not my first time flashing ROMs or unbricking a phone. It is my first time on a Xiaomi. Only done blackberry and samsung before.

Already pressed volume down and power button but nothing happened. And checking fastboot devices nothing comes up. Also in mi flash tool nothing.
